Kate Madison

Kate Madison is a British independent filmmaker, director, producer and actor. She portrayed the character Elgarain in her film, Born of Hope. Kate Madison was born in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, England but now lives in Cambridge, England. She started acting at the age of four years when her mother got her involved in a local amateur dramatic group and continued to enjoy performing as she was growing up. She attended the Netherhall School and Long Road Sixth Form College, both in Cambridge. In trying to decide on a career, however, she chose to follow her interest in marine biology, and she enrolled in Aberystwyth University in Wales to study zoology. She completed her course of study and received her degree but realized she did not have the drive to pursue this career. She discovered and joined the Cambridge Filmmakers Network (CFN) and established her company, Actors at Work Productions in 2003. It was through the CFN she became directly involved in her first two film projects.
