I'm a professional actor who's written a number of screenplays for both the United States and the United Kingdom. I've written them predominantly with WOMEN being the main lead roles simply because a shortage of decent roles for women to this very "day" still reigns unfortunately.....The work volume vacuum within the film industry that the writers strike of 2023 has left means that many actors have had to resort to other methods of sustaining a consistent wage income, all be it still within the film industry, "so" mixing and matching our skills to the ultimate has become even more necessary than it was before!! (Although that strike "was" highly necessary to protect actors futures within the industry and it "paid off" in the long term too - Thank goodness!!)
