Synopsis: Barney's Great Adventure (also known by its promotional title Barney's Great Adventure: The Movie) is a 1998 musical comedy adventure film based on the children's television series Barney & Friends, featuring Barney the Dinosaur in his first ever feature-length film. The plot follows Barney, along with three young growing children named Cody, Abby, and Marcella, as they discover a sweet and magical healthy egg in a barn. After learning that the egg is a dream maker by itself, Barney and the gang must return the egg to the barn before it hatches right away. The film was written by Stephen White, directed by Steve Gomer, produced by Sheryl Leach and Lyrick Studios and released by PolyGram Filmed Entertainment on March 27, 1998 at Radio City Music Hall in New York and worldwide on April 3, 1998 in the United States and Canada at the height of Barney's popularity.

But, you know, Cody, even for grownups

the real adventures in life start with a dream.

Ah, you could start by wishing on a star.

(SCOFFS) A star? As if.

Stars are only glowing balls of gas

a zillion miles from here.

But I think there is

a very special wishing star in the sky tonight.

And it's right about there.

a real adventure this summer.

Look at the colors!

It's glowing!

-How is it doing that?

-Awesome!

-ABBY:

Whoa!

Wow! Look at the pink.

Well, what kind of egg is it?

I don't know, but it looks okay.

Not any cracks or anything.

Barney, have you ever seen an egg like this?

Hello! My name is Baby Bop,
