CHARLES:

“Chloe is your daughter?”

LEAORINE:

“Yes.”

INT:
CHARLES' BEDROOM

That night I lay there in bed, dreaming about her. It was as though I couldn’t pass the floating perceptual visual image in my mind. I begin reading on philosophy and psychology. Behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and dissociative disorders.

CHARLES (V.O)

What strikes me as flawed about criminals is instead of avoiding behaviors they avoid the consequence. Police punish them, thus they do not learn how to improve. However, by using reinforcement of the ideas of morals and lawful behavior, these subjects will learn and hopefully adapt. This is taken from the books on B . F. Skinner. I seek to apply this to my patients. A man is happy only when there is a network of systems where he can offer something, not standing idly by on the sidelines. A self indicted and greedy mind is not a happy one.

INT:
SESSION LOUNGE with a beaten and unkempt client sitting across from me.

I meet my sixth client today. He recounts an anecdote of an injury he endured. When my client's friend's car breaks down, he, a quiet loner, agrees to do the offer of cleaning an abandoned mine shaft back in world war two. my client's friend was a stranger to him, but the loner agreed to do the favor. The loner did this because he felt he couldn't properly repair the car.

LONER TALKING TO CHARLES

“Almost lost my leg stepping on a land mine.”

CHARLES:

“Woah,”, I say as he continues to tell me his background.

LONER:

“My name’s Roger Lewis. I’m from Detroit, Michigan,” Now it’s important to note, what he says next he does not say in an intimidating manner, “With assaults, shootings, and homicides on the rise across the country, Detroit continued last year to be among the most violent big cities in America, according to FBI statistics. I read it online. I saw first hand.”

CHARLES:

“What did you see?”

ROBERT:

“Almost twenty years ago, back in 1999, I was 16 years old. I lived in an apartment complex back then. My parents were out of town that night. left with my baby brother, Ben. We called him Benny back then. “ His eyes filled with nostalgia, “huh, He never really cried much until that night. A woman steered into the wrong side of town. Janice Wilde was her name. I didn’t know her. She was a stranger to me. I’m not sure that was her name. I'm forgetful now. But anyway, “ He pauses to think.

CHARLES:

“Go on,” I say.

ROBERT:

“I peered outside my window that night. I used to have a square 4 by 4 ft window facing the neighbors. I wondered what the big commotion was since I saw my neighbors walk worriedly out of their homes. Apparently, everyone followed through with this because more people walked after them. I unlocked the door to my apartment, to unravel the mystery. People were huddled on their balconies watching, perturbed at what lies below. Below to the last floor of the complex. To the bottom of the spiraling stairs of the building. I was honestly ashamed a person could do such a thing. I looked at my place and I locked myself in my room after what I saw. That morning, my neighbor elicited what happened. Not in detail, just enough so I could understand. “

CUT TO SCENE. INT: ATTORNEY'S DESK OFFICE

The CH-100 is the form Mara filled out in front of her attorney. She sites there with intent eyes. Her lawyer's desk, brown, and the walls white.

MARA:

"Is CH-100 accompanied by other forms?"

LAWYER:

"The following order is accompanied with a package of documents and forms." her lawyer informs, sliding a pillar of papers her way.

On them they read:

CH-100-INFO (Can a Civil Harassment Restraining Order Help Me?)

CLETS-001 (Confidential CLETS Information)

CH-109 (Notice of Court Hearing)

CH-110 (Temporary Restraining Order)

MARA asks,

"When are they due? "

LAWYER:

"It has the dates on there."

In the section for third parties, she writes down: Armando Reyes.

MARA:

"Where do I send CH-100 Order?" Mara asks.

LAWYER:

"The completed CH-100 Order must be sent with other documents to a Court Specialist in the Calendar Office at the Downtown Superior Co"

MARA:

"Thank you for helping me, attorney Welsh, right?"

ATTORNEY WELSH:

"Yes and due note the amount you are paying for this in its section." Mr. Welsh refers to the CH-100.

A TIME TITLE CARD APPEARS:

A week later

INT:
COURTROOM

The rear half of the courtroom contains benches for the public. A railing is connected to the wooden walls of the front of the audience. This railing divides the public seating area from the “well of the court.” The “well of the court” is a phrase that describes the area where court proceedings are conducted.

Inside the Well of the Courtroom, This is where lawyers and their clients sit during court trials or other court proceedings. Typically, The plaintiff’s table is on the right side, and the defendant’s table is on the left side. However, The plaintiff’s side has the right to sit closest to the jury box. Very often, you will see a secured door on one side of the courtroom and see a deputy positioned beside it. This door is often used by Sheriff’s deputies and persons who are in custody (jail).

The jury box is placed along one side of the well. It’s easy to spot because there are usually 2-3 rows of about 12 upholstered chairs situated inside a large railing or partial enclosure. There is often a door near the jury box, and jurors may use that door to exit the courtroom after a trial when they go into another room to deliberate. Often, the lawyers will sit in the jury box and either visit with one another or mentally prepare for the court to begin.

At the very front of the courtroom is the judge’s “bench.” It’s not an actual bench. It’s usually a raised platform with a partial rail or enclosure that the judge sits behind. Near the bench, you will also find a secured door. The judge and courtroom personnel may use this secured door to access the judge’s chambers or other offices. The term “chambers” just means the judge’s office.

Directly in front of the judge’s bench, you will usually see chairs and computer workstations for 2-3 people. One chair is always for the courtroom clerk, who handles case files and paperwork. A court reporter may use another, and the judge’s law clerk may occupy the third chair. A law clerk is an attorney who works for the judge and assists the judge in conducting the business of the Court.

Between the judge’s bench and the jury box is the witness stand. This is where testifying witnesses will sit while they are giving testimony in a case. Mara pleads the defendant, Armando is guilty of stalking her. The plaintiff, Mara, testifies Armando assumes they are still together, but after repeated times, she tells him, ‘we are over,’ he keeps pursuing her.

ARMANDO:

“I saw you two kiss, what friend, huh!”

JUDGE:

“Order, if you interrupt again, we will add 2 charges of contempt.”, notifies the jury, shushing Armando.

Ian R. Carrillo Castro 28 October 2020 Short Bibliography If I were to write a paper about my life? What would I write? Well, this is what I would write. I am a leader, I am hardworking, and I am willing to set goals and use a creative strategy to solve it. I am a student because my parents believe it is smart to lead your kid off to a bright future. English class is always fun when doing essays because I have gotten the knack of writing them and narratives. Narratives can also be creative. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always been creative. I played with legos as a kid. Regularly I would buy ones from the merchandise of a movie. Even though they did not look as perfect as the scene on the screen, I would mix them with other pieces to be more accurate. Also, I ditched the instructions and I would figure out how to construct them on my own and see where I messed up. I built my own Batcave, suits, guns, avengers tower, and so on. I used my imagination to fit my interests instead of blatantly regurgitating what was asked of me. The important aspect was that I would create my own set, and not follow the rules. Nowadays, I am still creative. I am constantly having fun doing something creative, the only problem is I run out of creativity. In the meantime this would happen, I would read a book to keep occupied. One of my skills is making 3dmodels, here are many websites to do this on.. Tinkercad for example is an Autodesk website where one can create 3D images or models. Other similar sites include: Cospaces, Onshape, Sketchfab to view 3D, and Blender. In Tinkercad, I created a suit replica of the Batman Begins with it’s closet, all three Iron Man arc reactors from the movies, and more suits. I began writing when an English class in seventh grade struck me with how exhilarating writing is. In my want to pursue writing, I keep practicing at it. I went to creative writing courses and practiced. In my research of writing, I came across the book, Story, by Robert McKee. He explains the principles of story writing in the means of a script portrayed on a film, but is still a narrative. Types of plots: none or anti-plot, arch plot, and minimalist. McKee also says researching an area relating to your book to fight clichés. You know what clichés are, the nerd won't get a girl, or the jock without a brain. My father also bought me a book of flash cards giving ways to fix writer's block. Writing a mystery is, for then the reader will solve it by reading. An adventure is one where the character will see a series of events for fun. At least this is what I thought. Not anymore. An adventure story still has a want and cost relationship. Mystery is tried down to discoveries and setbacks to the detective. Or whoever solved it. Mckee also stresses the questions and mystery must be solved by the end. Talking to others when the time arises about life and events helps bring out other perspectives. Languages I speak are english and spanish. Skills and Interests are skateboarding, boxing and Bo staff tricks, calisthenics, weightlifting, researching the web, reading, making 3dmodels, creative writing, and watching movies. In Boxing, I went through Feb 2019 to Mar 2020 on Mondays and Fridays. Maxwell's' Boxing center. The one at Miramar Rd Site. The coach would have us shadowbox after putting on the tape, then we go for a round on the punching bags. Sometimes we would practice sparring with partners. The coach would give different punches with numbers assigned to them. Each in different combinations to do that day. I have always been athletically inclined. Not that I would join leagues, but that I would exercise. Besides the gym, I started skateboarding. First learn the ollies, slide one foot, and hop with both. then practice while riding. After the ollies, move on to nollies, 180’s, 360’s and from there you have the basics. There are probably 20 types ranging from backspin, heelflip, kickflip, bigspin, along with their combinations of 180 and full circle degrees. I keep falling, but persevere. Recently I bought a Bo staff to learn all sorts of spinning tricks. It's as though a windmill lives in my arms. As an eleven year old, I always dreamed of doing this as efficiently. No matter how fast you go, what matters is that you never stop. The continuous motion and weight from the thicker end of the staff drives the spin along my hands. I played DC comics associated video games. Their characters such as Robin and Nightwing used their martial arts technique to fight, thus I became eager to learn it. I also used to rock climb. I learned there you must follow a path of the guide colors on the walls. Especially the times you must climb while your belly faces the rock toward the ceiling, with only your fingers dangling on therock's edges. Another aspect is what professionals call flagging. This is where you shift your weight to one side in order to balance out. Say I am gripping the wall, one with my right hand and the other with my ri more…
