Hello?

I waited!

Hello!

What are you doing here?

Tell me!

I do not know...

What's your name?

I was on my way to San Francisco.

He had obtained an important job

Of civil engineering, then...

I was in the water, there was a storm...

a distant light.

God, the rest just turned dark.

How is it possible?

It's maddening.

The wound on the head. fifteen

I found him unconscious on the beach.

He was unconscious for two days.

The light? It was a warning,

Not an invitation.

Thanks for taking care of me.

I am indebted to you, sir...

Make it clear, boy. This

place is isolated, remote.

Twenty I like it this way.

My job here is to keep the house,

The ground, and keep the light on.

It is not welcoming

guests or making friends.

Of course.

I'm already up and back,

I will not bother you any more.

I'm leaving this afternoon.

Nobody leaves this peninsula...

Sorry?

Nobody leaves this peninsula,

Except by ferry.

When does the ferry arrive?

In two weeks.

No, there must be another way.

There is a complete tour.

Impossible.

Mountains make the

Stream at this time of year.

Crossing would be suicide.

Have phone.

If my ship was shipwrecked

The authorities know it.

Hello?

Hello?

There will be manifestos of ships,

Reports of missing people.

You can tell me who I am.

Hi.

Nothing.

The lines had to be

disconnected After the storm

This happens all the time.

On the beach, did you find a backpack?

A backpack?

Yes, with a manuscript inside.

Are you a writer?

No. Well, yes. It is a technical journal.

It's complicated.

My ambitions took me to the city,

For a lucrative position.

But it does not work.

She must have taken it...

Who?

A girl.

I saw her on the beach before she fell.

You did not see any girls.

Yes, I saw a young woman.

I called her, but she

Did not answer me

I followed her but disappeared

Between the rocks.

Did not answer because

There is no girl.

You and I are the only two souls

In this forgotten rock of God.

You are not in your right mind.

Your imagination is...

makes a play.

No... but I can not be sure

You are welcome in my current state

I have work to do.

Walsh.

My name is Walsh.

I waited! Wait, come back!

I want to talk to you.

What causes these tremors?

It's the gis under the cliff...

full of catacombs...

is continuously eroded

By the waves when the tide arrives.

If this is true, The foundations

of this house are in danger.

It's just a matter of time.

Then we toast

The crumbling house on the sea.

Do not you drink?

Do not worry.

I'm used to drinking alone.

Maybe I can strengthen the foundations.

Avoiding the inevitable?

It is the least I can do

To pay for their hospitality.

After all, if I'm going to be

A prisoner here, might be useful.

Do what you want.

I do not get it.

I say this house will collapse

Under his head and does not care.

What do you call this?

A prison...

and has been here for a few days.

Imagine staying

Here all my life.

This peninsula is a tomb...

This beacon a headstone.

Excuse me if not I shed a tear

in view of its destruction.

Do not you care about anything?

I once cared.

I took a young wife.

I promised her a prosperous

New life in the city.

The jobs were scarce.

Finally, when I was desperate

For work, I brought it here.

Our engagement was passionate.

She was so beautiful...

so...

vibrant when we get married.

But it is difficult to know a woman

After such a short time.

She turned melancholy.

For weeks, I was desperate.

I thought starting a family

It would make her feel less alone.

But she could not bear

The idea that a child...

suffer here in the same way.

His constant sadness

He began to irritate me.

I just wanted to start your sadness!

What happened?

She ran away.

The woman on the beach...

There is no woman.

We are alone here.

No, I saw her again today in the woods.

It was not a hallucination.

My mind was clear.

Is your mind clear now?

Did your memory come back?

Do you know who you are?

Can you tell me your real name?

How can you be so sure

That we are alone

How can you be sure

That I did not see his wife?

Why...

I saw her...

fall into the sea.

Come, let the rites

Funerals are read...

let the song Funeral is sung!

A hymn for her...

the greatest of the dead...

who died so young.

A lament for her...

the double death in which...

she died so young.

Please forgive me.

Do not let your candle go out.

Always keep A light on.

Good mornin'.

What's in it?

The kerosene. The light must be

Constantly.

Tell me, is there a safe way

Towards the beach

A ladder crosses the risk

From here, it is there.

If you had waited for that The tide

would have come down the first day...

instead of climbing

Stupidly the cliff...

had jumped into view.

Listen.

Stay away from the caves.

They are dangerous.

What is he doing here?

I am sorry. She did not want to scare him.

I do not mean to hurt her.

I will not be the only one

to suffer damages. Speaks.

I was afraid that it would disappear again

Before I could speak to him.

He must have introduced himself.

I called her before, you did not answer.

I've seen it twice and

Has disappeared without speaking.

I started to think that

Was a ghost.

Does a ghost do that?

It is soaked.

Sit by the fire Before he dies.

To be someone so desperate

Talk to me

does not talk too much.

Sorry, what's your name?

What are you doing here?

She's alone?

They are many questions.

I am sorry.

Let's talk a lot.

My name is Nora.

And yours?

You can call me JP, I think.

JP What kind of name is that?

What does that mean?

I do not know.

What do you think?

Are you being mysterious now?

He did not answer my question.

What are you doing here living alone,

Away from everything?

Times are difficult,

That is no secret.

I thought this place would be...

A shelter, I supposed.

It could be dangerous out there

For a single woman.

Somehow I think that

Can handle the situation.

Why are you looking at me like that, JP?

We know each other?

I feel like I know her.

I bet he tells you that.

To all the girls.

Have you never felt the same with

Someone you just met?

Once...

A long time ago.

Well, tell me...

is there another way to get out of

This peninsula other than by ferry?

It depends.

Of what?

How much do you know how to swim?

I do not know how to swim.

Will I see her again?

You know the way now, do not you?

You have to go.

Come with me back to the lighthouse.

At least for a while

before returning.

No I can not.

I do not understand.

"Do not tell Walsh about me."

- Do not talk about you?

Please, JP He is crazy.

Nora, wait!

What are you doing?

Did you hear that?

What?

Voices.

Voices?

What were they saying?

I don't know.

It was not very clear.

Rather it was a murmur.

Like the wind? Like the creak of

An old house sinking?

Like the sounds of an old

Lighthouse on unstable ground?

I think I dreamed it.

Possibly.

Who is this?

Is this the woman you spoke to?
