[WOMAN LAUGHING]

WOMAN 1 :

Once again, the phantom is abroad.

Trapped in the lonely tower...

...the girl can hear its mocking laughter

echo louder...

...up the vaulted staircase.

[MAN CHUCKLING]

WOMAN:
Then a clawlike hand

falls heavily upon the latch.

Slowly, the door creaks open.

[CREAKING]

WOMAN:
A ghostly form drifts through

the blackness of the chamber.

The helpless girl feels her hair

stand on end.

Icy chills race down her spine.

Her heart leaps into her throat.

Closer.

[GULPS]

[WOMAN SCREAMING]

WOMAN:

And that, my dear children...

...concludes this evening's

Witching Hour.

[SIGHS]

And you do believe in ghosts, don't you?

[CURTAIN SLAPPING]

[TOM YELLING]

[VACUUM CLEANER HUMMING]

TOM:

It's--

It's a ghost....

[COUGHING]

[SIGHS]

WOMAN 2:
Hello? This is the operator.

Will you please get off the line?

[YELPS]

[VACUUM CLEANER HUMMING]

[GULPS]

[JERRY SCREAMS]

[TOM SCREECHING]

[PIANO PLAYING]

WOMAN 3:
That sounds like a burglar

prowling around in that parlor.

WOMAN 3:
If you're looking for trouble,

burglar man...

...here I come.

WOMAN 3:

Ow!

Tom, you no-good cat!

Attacking from the rear, eh?

Well, take this! And this!

[TOM MEOWING]

WOMAN 3:
And get out of here, you good-

for-nothing, moth-eating mousetrap!
