TOM:
I'll look over this information
you gave me and tell you the rifle, ammo, and any other supplies I will need for the assignment.
JACKIE:
There is something I didn't tell
you about your new hobby. We will give you cover for the mission with deals with a very lucrative client - Jay Bailey Morgan III. One of his London subsidiaries needs financing for an upcoming expansion and will call you at your office on Monday.
TOM:
Morgan is one of the richest men
in the world and has his hands in practically everything. This is an unusual way to attract new business, but I'll take it!
EXT. ENTRANCE TO NONDESCRIPT HIGH-RISE - LONDON - EARLY MORNING
Tom walks up to the entrance of an abandoned 1960's era concrete and steel monstrosity of an office building. He looks inside, sees the guard at the old reception desk, puts on a pair of gloves and knocks on the door. Tom is wearing dark blue overalls and a long brimmed baseball cap. Tom knocks on the door. A young man, wearing identical clothing, opens the door.
GUARD:
Can I help you?
TOM FORD Charles Martel sent me.
INT. HIGH-RISE - CONTINUOUS
TOM:
How did you break in?
30.
GUARD:
skills. I took your gear to the
eleventh floor. You'll have clear shot to Old Bailey's.
TOM Great! Thank you.
GUARD:
a nice
scheduled for arraignment at 10:00. He will be freed soon afterwards. So be prepared to take the shot from ten on.
Tom enters the stairwell for his hike to the 11th Floor.
DARKENED HALL WAY
Tom emerges from stairwell searching for Room 1113 with his flashlight. He finds it and enters.
OFFICE:
Office with desk, many fallen ceiling tiles and a large window overlooking old bailey. a Cheytec rifle on a bipod sits on the desk. Alongside is an open Halliburton case.
Tom takes the rifle from the case to the window. He closes all windows but the bottom right louver and sets the gun three feet behind it. He assumes the prone position and looks through the scope at Old Bailey and the surrounding area. He pulls out his data card and begins to make adjustments on the scope. He checks his watch: 9:50 A.M.
Tom looks out and sees a crowd gathering at the entrance to Old Bailey. He looks at his watch: 10:05 A.M. The crowd now numbers over one hundred.
TOM:
(under his breath)
Popular fellow.
Tom looks through his scope again for final adjustments. It is now 10:22 A.M. The now 40-deep crowd now pours well into the street and reaches a crescendo of cheers for their freed hero. Tom sees two uniformed guards open the door and ZAYAN HUSSEIN steps out with his entourage. He is taller than the rest. At the top step Zayan waves to the crowd and clasps his hand in victory. The crowd roars their approval.
31.
Tom centers the reticles on Zayan's temple and pulls the trigger. In a second it finds the intended target; the bullet penetrates the skull and ricochets harmlessly off the massive stone walls of Old Bailey. Hussein's blood and brain accompanies the bullet and sprays the wall a bright red. Hussein drops onto the sidewalk, dead before his head bounces off the pavement.
TOM (CONT'D) (under his breath)
May the power of Christ compel you.
Tom quickly closes the window, packs his gun and gives a final check of the premises. He hurries toward the stairs.
INT. MAIN ENTRANCE - CONTINUOUS
The guard waits as Tom runs out the door. He motions Tom to follow him. They run to a door past the reception desk.
INT. PARKING GARAGE - CONTINUOUS
A black SUV is the only vehicle in the garage.
They run to it. The guard opens the back door and Tom throws the Halliburton case into the vehicle. The guard covers the case with a black tarp. The SUV emerges from the garage and takes a right away from the scene. Tom looks back at the chaos but notices no flashing lights or sirens. The police haven't arrived yet.
GUARD:
I assume the mission a success.
TOM:
Mission accomplished!
A WEEK LATER...
Martin walks up to Tom who is at his desk.
MARTIN:
Tom, that was an incredible deal
you closed last week in London. How the hell did you ever get it? We've been trying to do deals with Morgan for decades.

MARTIN (CONT'D)
And here you come out of nowhere
and in less than a year you land a $200 million bond deal with him. Lorimer and Brownell are very pleased.
TOM:
deal. You know how those old WASP families like to keep the money circulated among themselves.
MARTIN:
No one has racked up such a score
so quickly as you have. You realize our bonuses will reflect this new deal?
TOM:
Glad to be of help to the office.
MARTIN:
Remember, we have another run this
evening.
TOM Wouldn't miss it.
EXT. CENTRAL PARK RUNNING PATH - NIGHT A warm summer night.
Tom and Martin run past Tavern on the Green and approach their finish line at the Columbus Circle corner when they hear a gunshot to their right. Tom stops running and sprints towards the sound.
MARTIN:
Where the hell are you going?
TOM:
Someone is in trouble. Let's go.
MARTIN:
Are you crazy?
Tom Ford is already running towards the shot. Martin Paxton mumbles to himself and runs after him.
They run through some bushes and see a woman holding a gun, quietly standing over an obviously dead body.
33.
Tom approaches the woman.
TOM:
What happened?
KAT:
penalty for attacking me.
Tom looked at the body, the gaping hole in the head still seeping blood onto the ground.
TOM:
I'll say...are you all right?
KAT I am now.
TOM:
You must get out of here.
KAT:
Why? I did nothing wrong.
MARTIN:
It doesn't matter in New York.
You're holding a gun – that's illegal. This city doesn't recognize self-defense as a defense for a carry violation.
KAT:
I did nothing wrong. I merely shot
this piece of crap who intended to rape and kill me.
A crowd of curious onlookers begin to slowly trickle around the trio and the body. The first COP approaches Kat and takes her gun.
FIRST COP:
What happened here? We heard a
shot.
KAT:
I shot this man who attacked me.
FIRST COP:
Do you have a license for this
gun?
KAT:
Yes, a Florida license.
