Linny:

Ming-Ming:
The phone's a-ringing and I'm a-swinging.

Tuck:
The phone.

The phone.

I know that tone.

(splash!)

Linny:
There's an animal in trouble.

Ming-Ming:
We'll be there on the double.

Be right there.

Tuck:
There's an animal in trouble somewhere.

Yeah.

(grunts)

Linny:
Listen.

(jazz with fingersnaps)

Cool Cat:
And a-one and a-two.

Linny:
Check it out, Wonder Pets.

Cool Cat:
Scat diddly-adda.

Scat dit dat.

I'm a Cool Cat and I love to sing scat.

(purrs)

Linny:
The cat sings jazz music, with made-up words that sound like scat and doo-dat.

Tuck:
Like zippity-zat?

Ming-Ming:
Or piddle-dee-pat?

Linny:
You're right about that.

But look now, Wonder Pets.

Hip Hippo:
Hey-boppa, I-boppa.

Who-boppa?

He-bop.

I'm a Hip Hippo and I sing bebop.

Linny:
The hippo sings jazz too, but a different kind, with words that sound like bebop and hebop.

Tuck:
Or snee-bop?

Ming-Ming:
Tee-hee-bop?

Linny:
You're right as can be-bop.

Tuck:
But as the hippo tries to sing his way, the cat keeps trying to sing her way.

Cool Cat:
I gotta sing scat-dat, I just gotta.

Hip Hippo:
I got to bebop.

A-deebop a lot-a.

Cool Cat:
Da-da-dee-dop.

Hip Hippo:
Mebop.

Cool Cat:
Ra-dada-ta-da.

Hip Hippo:
Rebop.

Linny:
They both want to sing their own ways.

Ming-Ming:
At the same time.

Tuck:
They're getting really mad at each other.

Ming-Ming:
We've got to help them.

Linny:
And a-one and a-two...

Tuck:
A cat and a hippo who both want to sing.

Ming-Ming:
This is serious.

Tuck:
We have to help them.

Linny:
Let's save the singers.

Both:
Let's save the singers.

All:
Let's save the singers.

Whee!

Linny:
Zoo-be-zoo.

Tuck:
Shoo-be-doo.

Ming-Ming:
Toodle-oo.

Linny:
Linny.

Tuck:
Tuck.

Ming-Ming:
And Ming-Ming too.

All:
We're Wonder Pets and we'll help you.

Linny:
What's gonna work?

Tuck:
Uh, Linny?

I feel like singing the teamwork song a different way today.

Linny:
Go for it, guys.

Tuck:
What's gonna worky-derk?

Ming-Ming:
Weema deema teama-work.

Tuck:
I want to take the marble to the Flyboat.

Ming-Ming:
I want to take the marble to the Flyboat.

Linny:
You two need to take turns.

Both:
Take turns?

Linny:
Take turns.

All:
Take turns.

Linny:
First you, then you.

And a-one and a-two...

Tuck:
What's gonna worky-derk?

Ming-Ming:
Weema deema teama-work.

Tuck:
Weedle deedle whatcha-say?

Ming-Ming:
Teama-worky is the way.

Linny:
Feel so goody-woody you could scream.

Ming-Ming:
When ya worky.

Tuck:
Worky-derky.

Linny:
Weema-deema-gerky-perky.

All:
As a team.

Yeah.

Tuck:
Taking turns was fun.

Linny:
And the Flyboat is done.

All:
Ooh.

Ming-Ming:
Weema-deema-doo.

Linny:
Come on, Wonder Pets.

We've got some singing animals to save.

Ming-Ming:
We are coming to save you, Cool Cat and Hip Hippo.

All:
Whee!

Wonder Pets, Wonder Pets.

We're on our way.

To help the singing animals and save the day.

Ming-Ming:
We're not too big.

Tuck:
And we're not too tough.

All:
But when we work together, we've got the right stuff.

Go, Wonder Pets!

Yay!

Linny:
That's Greenwich Village, in New York City.

Lots of really creative people live there.

All:
Ooh.

Cool Cat:
Skaddly-at.

Hip Hippo:
Bebop.

Tuck:
I hear the Cool Cat and the Hip Hippo.

Linny:
Let's land, Wonder Pets.

All:
Whee!

Yay!

Linny:
It's an animal jazz club.

Tuck:
Where animals from all over come to sing and play.

Ming-Ming:
Or to sing and push.

Cool Cat:
Scat daddlee adda step aside.

Hip Hippo:
Shoo-bop.

You-hop away and hide.

You tire me out, cat.

Where's my hanky?

Cool Cat:
I need some milk.

Tuck:
Hey, Cool Cat and Hip Hippo.

Hip Hippo:
Yo, Wonder Pets, what's popping?

Both:
Huh?

Linny:
"What's popping?" is jazz talk for, "What have you been up to lately?".

Ming-Ming:
Oh.

I have been saving animals, using teamwork, and eating celery.

What is popping for you?

Cool Cat:
I came to sing scat.

But that hippo keeps bebopping in my space.

Hip Hippo:
I came to sing bebop.

But the cat's scatting all over the place.

Linny:
So you both came to the jazz club to sing, but you keep getting in each other's way.

Both:
Yeah.

Ming-Ming:
That is a problem.

Tuck:
Hey, I have an idea.

There are two stages.

Why don't you each stand on a different stage?

Hip Hippo:
That's a fine plan, man.

Tuck:
Cool Cat, you stand here.

Cool Cat:
The cat can do that.

Ming-Ming:
Hip Hippo, you stand here.

Hip Hippo:
I'm hip to this trip.

Linny:
Now you can both sing at the same time without bothering each other.

Cool Cat:
Scat diddle-adda.

Scat doo dat.

I'm a Cool Cat and I love to sing scat.

Hip Hippo:
Hey-pop I-bop.

Who-bop he-bop.

I'm a Hip Hippo and I sing bebop.

Linny:
It doesn't sound good when they sing at the same time, does it, Wonder Pets?

Cool Cat:
He makes this cat sound uncool.

Hip Hippo:
She makes my bebop into be-slop.

Tuck:
I guess having them sing on different stages didn't work.

Linny:
Look, Wonder Pets.

Customers.

Baby Armadillo:
I can't wait to hear some real jazz, pa.

Papa Armadillo:
You will, boy.

You will.

All:
We want jazz.

We want jazz.

Tuck:
They've come from Texas to hear you guys.

Ming-Ming:
Texas?

This is serious.

Linny:
I wish you two could find a way to make music together.

Tuck:
Remember how Ming-Ming and I sang our teamwork song in the classroom?

Linny:
You took turns.

And the Cool Cat and Hip Hippo should take turns too.

Cool Cat:
Take what?

Hip Hippo:
Turn who?

Linny:
Take turns.

Tuck:
Take turns.

Ming-Ming:
Take turns.

Both:
Take turns?

Linny:
First you, then you.

That's what taking turns means.

Cool Cat:
I've never taken turns singing.

Never.

Hip Hippo:
I've never sung with anybody else.

Ever.

Linny:
You'll be great at taking turns.

The Wonder Pets will get you started.

Tuck, beat that drum.

Ming-Ming, bang that bongo.

And I'll smack this cymbal.

Now let's show the Cool Cat and the Hip Hippo how totally cool taking turns can be.

And a-one and a-two...

Tuck:
What's gonna weema werka?

Ming-Ming:

Cool Cat:

All:

Hip Hippo:

Cool Cat:

Hip Hippo:

Cool Cat:

Both:
I love the way that you sing.

Papa Armadillo:
Hot diggety dog.

These city folk can sing.

Baby Armadillo:
That was so good, poppa be-boppa.

Linny:
Hey, Cool Cat and Hip Hippo, care to join us for some celery?

Hip Hippo:
Can we take turns as we munch?

Ming-Ming:
Yep.

Everybody ready to take turns?

Hip Hippo:
All right.

(crunching)

Linny:
Well, it looks like our work here is done.

Tuck:
To the Flyboat?

Linny:
To the Flyboat.

All:
Bye, Cool Cat.

Later, Hip Hippo.

Hip Hippo:
Later, Wonder Pets.

Cool Cat:
Be cool.

All:
Wonder Pets, Wonder Pets.

We found a wa-wa-way.

To help the singing animals and save the diddly day.

Ming-Ming:
We're not too big.

Tuck:
And we're not too tough.

All:
But when we work together, we've got the right stuff.

Linny:

Kid #1:

Tuck and Buck!

Teacher:
It's time to go, everyone.

Kid #2:
Later, Linny.

Kid #3:
Adios, Ming-Ming.

Kid #4:
Be cool, Tuck.

(door closes)

(jingling)

(jingling)

(jingling)

(lively music)

Linny:
The phone.

The phone is ringing.

Ming-Ming:
The phone.

We'll be right there.

Tuck:
The phone.

The phone is ringing.

(splash!)

Linny:
There's an animal in trouble.

Ming-Ming:
There's an animal in trouble.

Tuck:
There's an animal in trouble somewhere.

(grunts)

Linny:
It's a turtle.

(gasps)

On a hang glider.

Both:
Huh?

Ming-Ming:
What's a hang glider?

Linny:
It's like a kite you can ride on.

Tuck:
A hang-gliding turtle, you say?

Linny:
Yup.

Ming-Ming:
You don't see that every day.

Tuck:
Wait a minute.

I knew it!

It's my cousin Buck.

Buck:
Hey, coz.

Linny:
He's your cousin?

Ming-Ming:
He's cute.

How could someone so cute be in trouble?

Buck:
I'm not in trouble, ducky.

I am trouble.

Linny:
Oh, my.

Ming-Ming:
Now, that's a turtle!

Tuck:
Where are you, Buck?

Buck:
Not far, coz.

Just look out your window.

Ming-Ming:
Out our window?

Linny:
Come on!

Tuck:
I see Buck.

Linny:
Good eye, Tuck.

Tuck:
He's gonna crash into the schoolhouse!

Ming-Ming:
Oh, no!

Tuck:
Linny, what do we do?

Buck's gonna crash into the school.

Linny:
I know.

We'll open the window.

And Buck can glide inside.

Ming-Ming:
I can do it.

(grunts)

I can't do it.

I thought I was strong enough.

But I was wrong and stuff.

Linny:
Ming-Ming, when you can't do it on your own, don't forget you're not alone.

Teamwork, remember?

Ming-Ming:
Wait.

Note to self:
Remember teamwork.

Tuck:
If we all lift together, we can open the window so Buck can fly in.

Linny:
What's gonna work?

All:
Teamwork.

(grunting)

Tuck:
Buck's almost here.

Ming-Ming:
We need to open the window more.

Linny:
What's gonna work?

All:
Teamwork.

(grunting)

Linny:
We did it!

Tuck:
And just in time.

Here comes my cousin.

Whoa!

Buck:
Buck's the name.

Oh, sorry, coz.

Tuck:
That's all right, Buck.

Hey, how 'bout a hug?

Buck:
Maybe later.

Aren't you gonna introduce me to your friends?

Tuck:
Oh.

This is my friend Linny the Guinea Pig.

Linny:
Hi, Buck.

How do you do?

Buck:
Exactly as I please.

Linny:
(giggles)

Tuck:
And this is--

Ming-Ming:
Ming-Ming Duckling.

I didn't know turtles could hang glide.

Buck:
Most can't, but then again...

I can do a lot of things most turtles can't.

Ming-Ming:
I'll bet.

Tuck:
Oh, yeah?

Like what, Buck?

Buck:
Well, if you really want to know, I'm the most coordinated turtle that you'll ever meet.

Tuck:
Buck!

Whoa!

Buck:
I'm like a cat in that I always land right on my feet.

Tuck:
Ugh!

Buck:
I've never lost my balance.

Not a single time.

And as of yet I haven't met a wall I couldn't climb.

Yeah!

Tuck:
Oof!

Buck:
Climbing walls is fun, but when I want to get my kicks.

The fact is, I practice cool skateboarding tricks.

Yeah!

Tuck:
Oh, please.

Buck.

Buck:
I can do a lot of things most turtles can't.

Yeah!

I can do a lot of things most.

Turtles.

Tuck:
Whoa!

Buck:
Can't.

Ming-Ming:
Yay!

Tuck:
Oh, yeah?

Well, I can do a lot of things, too, Buck.

Buck:
Awesome, coz.

Like what?

Tuck:
Like saving animals.

We're the Wonder Pets.

Buck:
Oh, the Wonder Pets.

What's the Wonder Pets?

Ming-Ming:
Oh, you know.

Wonder Pets.

Wonder Pets.

Yadda ya da.

You help a bee bee.

Whatever when.

Blah blah blah.

Buck:
Doesn't ring a bell.

Linny:
Oh, how about what's gonna work?

Buck:
What?

I give up.

Tuck:
Teamwork.

We save animals with teamwork.

Buck:
Oh.

What's teamwork?

Tuck:
Huh?

Buck:
Tell me more about this "teamwork" thing.

Tuck:
Well, okay.

Teamwork is when we do things together.

Linny:
Come on!

We'll show you.

Tuck:
This is where we put on our capes and we all do it together.

Buck:
Capes?

I can do that myself.

Tuck:
But, Buck, you're not using teamwork.

Buck:
One for you.

One for you.

And one for me.

Tuck:
Hey, that's my cape.

Buck:
What's next?

Linny:
Next we build the Flyboat.

Buck:
The Flyboat?

Like a boat that you fly in.

Tuck:
Yup.

And we all build it together.

Buck:
Wait.

When it comes to building things, I'm the master.

Plus I can make your Flyboat fly faster.

It's the Buck-Boat, baby.

Linny:
Permanent marker caps?

Ming-Ming:
Those'll have some kick to them.

Tuck:
Buck, you're still not using teamwork.

Buck:
Look, this teamwork thing--

It's just not my style.

Now I'm gonna take this filly for a spin.

Tuck:
Buck, wait.

These things aren't easy to fly.

You need to use lots and lots of...

(coughing)

Teamwork.

Buck:
Whoo!

Yeah!

Whoa!

Whoa!

This is harder than I thought.

How do I get out of the classroom?

Linny:
Through the cubby!

Ming-Ming:
Over there!

Buck:
The cubby.

Got it.

Tuck:
No, not that cubby!

(crash!)

Buck:
How was I supposed to know you meant the chicken one?

Linny:
Don't worry, Buck.

We'll rescue you.

Buck:
I can rescue myself.

I can't do it myself.

Ming-Ming:
This is serious.

Tuck:
Buck!

When you can't do it on your own, don't forget you're not alone.

Teamwork, remember?

Buck:
Yeah, that teamwork thing.

Use that!

Tuck:
We need to get to the hang glider on the windowsill.

You fly up, Ming-Ming.

And, Linny, you can climb that wall.

Linny:
But, Tuck, how are you going to get to the windowsill?

Tuck:
Like this.

Whoa!

Both:
Tuck!

Tuck:
Beginner's luck.

Now let's save Buck.

Linny:
What's gonna work?

All:
Teamwork.

Linny:
What's gonna work?

Buck:
Teamwork.

Tuck:
Buck.

Buck:
Tuck.

Tuck:
Gotcha.

Buck:
Coz, you saved my shell!

You're amazing.

Tuck:
Thanks.

Linny:
This calls for some celery.

Buck:
Some what?

Ming-Ming:
Try it.

You'll love it.

(crunching)

All:
Mmm.

Buck:
Coz, we need to talk, turtle to turtle.

Tuck:
What is it, Buck?

Buck:
I'm sorry.

Tuck:
What?

Buck:
I'm sorry.

For being such a show-off.

And I'm sorry for being so rude to you.

Tuck:
Aw, that's okay.

But thanks, coz.

Buck:
Hey, can I have that hug now?

Tuck:
Maybe later.

Just kidding.

Linny:
Bye, Buck.

Nice to meet you.

Buck:
Adios, amigos.

Linny, Ming-Ming, stay beautiful.

Ming-Ming:
I will!

Kid:
Little Airplane.
