That's good.

Why they done come

to our side and mess it up?

This ain't about

the flats versus the hills.

- They coming for you.

- I know what it is.

Yo, don't nobody want

to see anything happen to you.

Things changed.

Yo, we can't

afford to spark a war.

You left.

You right.

I did leave.

You being back home can f***

sh*t up for all of us here.

It's like that?

Yeah, it's like that.

Should have never came back.

Yo.

Can't believe that

they soft, son.

- You good?

- Yeah, I'm good. I'm good.

Yo, Nel, for real, I got you.

You know that, right?

From what happened in there

I ain't f***ing

with 'em neither.

- So what we gonna do?

- I don't know.

- What about your padrino?

- Maurice?

- Yeah, maybe he could help.

- I don't think so.

Man, he know everybody.

That's the o.G. Right there.

I don't ask him

for favors like that.

Maybe I could roll with you

just so he could know me,

know what I mean? You know I got your back.

You know that, right?

You know I keeps it hunnit.

You in a tight spot right now.

- We gonna do what we gotta do, but what

I'm saying... -what are you saying?

If you could introduce me

to your godfather,

- we could be doing our thing for real.

- Again with this sh*t.

My street hustle with your training?

We'd be unstoppable, kid.

F*** them niggas in the shop.

This is what

we used to talk about.

Me and you, Nelly.

We big time, kid.

Oh, man, I'm not

listening to this.

I gotta go.

Oh, I see how it is.

You not the one getting paid,

can't nobody else.

You're starting

to irritate me right now.

Nobody could shine but you, Nel.

That's a'ight. That's a'ight,

'cause I'ma put it like this.

You don't trust me,

I don't trust you.

You don't fight for me,

I don't fight for you.

That's right, Tate.

You don't fight for me.

- You're the same little b*tch you always been.

- Yo, f*** you, Nelly.

You better watch how

you speak to me right now.

- What? You think you

f***ing Rambo, now? -Babe.

Just 'cause you went to war

you can't be touched?

I'm talking to you. Look at

me when I'm talking to you.

You think you tough, huh?

- You got it like that? -That's not

what this is all about, Angie.

Every little boy on every corner

swear they're "iron man 4".

- Ain't none of you bulletproof!

None! -I know that.

- So then f***ing leave!

- I can't.

They're already following me.

They sat right there

at that station

and watched me get my ticket.

And, yo, even if I do get out,

what's gonna happen

when they get here

and they don't find me, hmm?

- They coming for you. -Yeah, let

them come for me. I wish they would.

And what about Daiza?

She ready for all that?

- You think I don't know my responsibilities?

- No. That's not...

Like I don't know how to take

care of my own f***ing daughter?

I think you should

get outta town for a few days.

You're telling me to leave now.

Go down to Bridgeport.

Go see Edwin and the kids.

Yeah. You're funny.

This sh*t is gonna happen

for real.

Ain't nothing gonna stop it.

Then f***ing go.

There's nowhere to go.

Where am I gonna go?

Back to Afghanistan?

I can't do what I gotta do

while you here.

I need to know you're safe.

- You went down to the shop?

- I was just there.

They standing with you on this?

- No.

What you mean, no?

She doesn't want to talk to you.

Will you tell her

I like to say good-bye?

Hold on.

- She doesn't care.

- I need to talk to her.

- Too bad.

- Move out of my way.

- Are you f***ing deaf?

- -Daiza!

- What?

- -Time for bed.

- Why?

- -Now, Daiza.

- Suck my balls.

- -Hey!

I'm getting on that bus

with or without you.

Will you at least

give me a kiss?

I really need a kiss.

How am I supposed to shoot

anybody without a kiss?

That's not funny.

I know, I know.

Look. When this is over,

we'll get married.

We'll get outta here.

We'll go anywhere you want.

We'll go to Puerto Rico

if you like.

I heard that sh*t before.

We're gonna have three kids.

Nah. We're gonna have

six kids.

I know you only want three,

but we gonna have to have six

just in case the first three

come out retarded.

Hey, we're gonna have that life together.

I promise you, a'ight?

- Will you say something?

- What you want me to say?

Say what you feel.

I think you and me are done.

Yeah, but don't say that.

Baby, you don't mean that.

All right.

But I'ma see you later, though.

I'ma handle this

then I'ma find you.

Good evening, sir.

I'm a sergeant in the marines.

- Today's my e.A.S. Day.

- Welcome home.

Thank you.

I was wondering,

if I wanted to get in touch

with anyone I served with,

- how will I do that? -We don't

have a department for that.

- Have you checked with your unit?

- If I give you some names,

would you be able to look up

their phone numbers?

- We don't give out that information.

- Hey, Sanchez.

Hey, Sanchez, is that you?

- Oh, sh*t, Sanchez.

- Yo, man. How you been?

I've been fantastic, brother.

Couldn't be better.

How about you?

I just got in this morning.

Got in this morning,

huh, devil dog?

Look at you, man.

Come on!

Come on!

Give me a hug!

Come on, man!

Guys, I served with this guy.

Huh? How about that?

I served with this guy.

Hey, listen, I'm going

through some sh*t right now.

You came to the right place.

Psychologically, I'm scarred

and emotionally drained.

F*** medicine.

Weed and alcohol numbs the pain

as I sit with regrets

all up in my medulla,

wishing that I never shook

the hands of that recruiter.

When I got back, I thought

I'd have no problems,

but I did.

Now I'm back on probation,

and they made me come here.

You're not gonna go?

All right, f*** it.

Uh, my name's Berto

and I'm here

because I got injured

and I got diagnosed with PTSD

and you know how it goes,

blahdy blahdy blahdy,

but f*** it,

let's cut to the chase.

I'm just very excited,

I'm very excited tonight.

It is extra extra special,

'cause my friend here,

my mellow,

my main man is here

with us tonight.

And he ain't just

any other guy to me.

He saved my life, word to god.

He's a really good man

right here.

Would you like to introduce

yourself to the group?

My name is Nelson.

Come on, speak up, sergeant!

Nelson.

What's up, Nelson?

Nelson.

Would you like to tell us a little bit

about what brought you here tonight?

I think I'm in the wrong place.

It's just a place to talk.

Come on, man,

we're all here for you.

Right?

Yup, yup.

When did you get back?

Today.

Well, how's that been?

I'm fine.

Coming home can be

a difficult transition.

Easy, easy, easy, easy, man.

Come on, Sanchez.

Relax, buddy. Relax, man.

You don't have to talk

if you don't want to.

You're more than welcome

to just sit

and hold the space for others.

What's on your mind?

I did something.

Do you wanna talk about that?

No one in here

is going to judge you.

It's like...

As soon as you need help

your peoples forget about you.

Because of what

we've been through,

we know what it means
