Scene 1

Narrator:
Three kids named Malachi, Martha and Camella were playing an innocent game called snakes and ladders, but couldn’t decide who should go first.

Malachi:
Martha, I said I was going first, not you!

Martha:
No! I'm going first. We agreed on this in the kitchen when we were eating breakfast.

Camella:
What about me? I barely ever go first! Also I wasn’t there during breakfast! So how is that fair??

Narrator:
But then… The Evil Fairy Nefarious-

Evil Fairy:
You all are friends but look at you, bickering like wild hyenas. This just won't do…(Thinking) I know! If you can't learn how to be friends, I'll make you learn!

(Waves wand)

Kids:
AHHHHHHHHHH

(Kids go behind front curtains and front curtains close)

Scene 2

Martha and Malachi: Ugh, (rubs head) where are we?

Martha:
Jinx! You can't talk until someone says your name!

Malachi:
(mumbling sounds)

Camella:
Malachi. (once she says his name he starts talking)

Malachi:
Thanks! And seriously where are we?

Narrator:
Little did they know that they were in the realm of Magica

Malachi:
Why is there a weird sound that Mr. Beast alway uses?

Martha:
I don't know, why are you so annoying?

Malachi:
HEY!

Camella:
Guys?

Martha+Malachi:
NOT NOW CAMEL!

Camella:
GUYS!

Martha+Malachi:
WHAT?!

Camella:
Who's that?

Good Fairy:
Hello Malachi, Martha and Camella. I am the Good Fairy, Mitis, the keeper of this realm. And if you were wondering, Mitis is Latin for Gentle

Martha:
Talk About Gentle.(rolls eyes)

Malachi:
First off, how do you know our names? Second, Why are we here? And third, Where are we?!

Scene 3

Good Fairy:
You are in the realm of Magica, the place where magic across the galaxy is kept. You're here because you were fighting.

Camella:
But I wasn't fighting? I was observing the fight.

Good Fairy:
Key word “Observing” as in watching the fight and doing nothing to stop it, also you chimed in a few times sooooo…

Camella:
Good point, continue.

Good Fairy:
As I was TRYING to say before I got interrupted (rolls head towards camella), you guys have to go through 5 magical riddles to get back to the real world. And at the end you might get something, so make sure to stay determined and keep going!

Camella:
What might we get?

Good Fairy:
You will figure that out later, but right now you should head to the lake of shining waters where Angelica, the guardian of the first riddle, will meet you and give you the riddle to solve.

Martha:
Ok? Well, see you later I guess

(kids walk towards the other side of the stage)

Scene 4

Narrator:
The kids are about to arrive at the magical Lake of Shining Waters where Angelica, the guardian of the first riddle is waiting for them…

Malachi:
Who are you?! And is this the lake with shiny water?

Angelica:
I’m Angelica! The guardian of the Lake of Shining Waters! And yes, this is the lake with shiny waters.

Martha:
Can we just get the riddle already? We're kinda on a tight schedule right now.

Angelica:
Well I'm so sorry that you weren't being good friends and argued so much that the gods got mad and sent you here-

Good Fairy:
What do you think you're doing, Angelica?

Angelica:
She was rude first!(kinda starts pouting)

Good Fairy:
Does it look like I care? We’re about friendship, not- Whatever this display is.(gestures with hands to Martha and Angelica) And for you, Martha, Stop being rude to Angelica. She didn't do anything to you so stop being moody and apologize.

Martha:
I don’t have to do anything!

Good fairy:
well you're in my world so my rules go, Now apologize.

(Martha + Good Fairy bickering)

Malachi:
Well this is… Happening.

Camella:
Hurry up! (sing songy)

(Angelica hands Malachi the riddle)

Malachi:
What's this?

Angelica:
The riddle. Why?

Malachi:
Just asking. And I hate reading, so here you go Martha!

Martha:
A mile from end to end, yet as close as a friend. A precious commodity, freely given. Found on the rich, poor, short, and tall, but shared amongst children most of all..What is it? (kahoot music plays)

Camella:
(gasps) Kahoot music?!

Malachi:
(looks up and says) Dang it! I hate the kahoot music, it makes it harder to think!

Martha:
For the first time today I actually agree with Malachi

Camella:
Ooh! I know the answer to the riddle!

Malachi:
I do too!

Malachi and Camella: Its empathy!

Martha:
Oh… I thought it was fantasy

Angelica:
Congratulations! You found the answer to the riddle! It’s empathy!

Empathy is important because it makes friendship stronger! You can now head to the Silver Mountains to answer the second riddle.

Scene 5

Narrator:
The kids head to the Silver Mountains where the guardian of the second riddle is.

Selina:
Hi, I'm Selina. The guardian of the second riddle. This is a pretty tricky riddle.

(Martha sits down with fear in her eyes then cries)

Malachi:
It's ok Martha, you know we got through the first riddle, it can't be too hard because if we work together then we can get through this.

Camella:
Yeah! The next riddle can’t be too hard.

Martha:
Okay I guess you're right…

Good Fairy:
(appears out of the curtain ) Good job friends, that´s a part of friendship. If you guys keep this up you'll find out what's most important. Also, here's a song that might help suit your situation. (Sly grin)

Scene 6

(Kahoot music plays)

Malachi:
Not the kahoot music.

Camella:
Yes the kahoot music!

Selina:
Here's the riddle! (hands riddle to Marha)

Martha:
“I am a word with two meanings. With one I can be broken, and one I hold on. What am I?”

Camella:
What? That doesn't make any sense…

Selina:
You have to work it out… work together!.

Malachi:
Ok…let's put our heads together and figure it out.

(huddle and act like your thinking about it also whisper random words)

Martha:
It might be support?

Malachi:
Hey! I was gonna say that!

Martha:
Too bad, so sad!

(twins bickering)

Camella:
Guys! Stop fighting!

Selina:
Anyways… Support is important in a friendship, it helps you get through a lot and that shows you care for each other.

Good Fairy:
(appears through the middle of the curtains) Yay! You did it. Now you will find the next riddle in the Mystical Forest.

Selina:
Well you should probably get going now, so you don't keep the next guardian waiting!

Scene 7

Narrator:
The kids are now headed to the mystical forest where Kelly the Fox is waiting for them with the third riddle.

Malachi:
What are you doing? And who are you? (confused look)

Kelly:
My name is Kelly and I'm doing the Macarena! What about you?

Martha:
Well we're looking for a third riddle

Kelly:
Well you have come to the right place my friends. I have the third riddle!

Camella:
Okay well where is it? (looks around confused)

Kelly:
Right here. Here’s your riddle. Good luck! (Kelly hands Camilla the paper)
