[TIRES SCREECHING]

00:
08:59,998 -- 00:09:01,989

[HONKING]

114

00:
09:14,638 -- 00:09:16,390

[CUADRO FLAMENCO'S

"EN LA CUEVA" PLAYS]

115

00:
09:18,318 -- 00:09:19,592

PAUL:

Oh, sh*t!

116

00:
09:19,758 -- 00:09:23,228

Excuse me, I just...

Damn! Oh, my God!

117

00:
09:26,558 -- 00:09:27,832

Excuse me.

118

00:
09:34,158 -- 00:09:36,274

My money flew out the window.

119

00:
09:57,118 -- 00:09:58,551

DRIVER:

Okay, that'll be 6.50.

120

00:
09:58,718 -- 00:10:01,949

PAUL:
Listen, my money

just flew out the window.

121

00:
10:02,118 -- 00:10:03,551

I put it in this cradle...

122

00:
10:03,718 -- 00:10:07,836

...and you went so fast around

that corner that I don't have any...

123

00:
10:09,118 -- 00:10:12,633

What I'm saying is, I don't have

any money. I'm really sorry.

124

00:
10:12,798 -- 00:10:15,028

Look, let me show you something.

125

00:
10:16,478 -- 00:10:17,991

Look, that was... I had $20.

126

00:
10:18,158 -- 00:10:20,877

And now I don't have any more.

127

00:
10:21,038 -- 00:10:22,517

I'm really sorry.

128

00:
10:35,398 -- 00:10:37,354

Franklin. Franklin.

129

00:
10:37,638 -- 00:10:39,071

Franklin.

130

00:
10:41,758 -- 00:10:43,111

Franklin.

131

00:
10:51,038 -- 00:10:52,756

- Are you Paul?

- Yeah.

132

00:
10:52,918 -- 00:10:54,192

Here, catch.

133

00:
10:57,198 -- 00:10:59,314

[THUNDERING]

134

00:
11:04,718 -- 00:11:07,949

[PIANO PLAYS]

135

00:
11:20,438 -- 00:11:23,589

PAUL:
Hi.

KIKl:
Hi.

136

00:
11:28,038 -- 00:11:31,633

- Your keys.

- You can just put them on the table.

137

00:
11:36,398 -- 00:11:37,797

PAUL:

I like that.

138

00:
11:37,998 -- 00:11:40,671

- Do you?

- Yeah. Very much.

139

00:
11:41,358 -- 00:11:43,997

It reminds me of that

Edvard Munch painting.

140

00:
11:44,278 -- 00:11:46,269

What's it, iThe Shriek?/i

141

00:
11:47,038 -- 00:11:50,075

- iThe Scream./i

- iThe Scream./i Right.

142

00:
11:51,398 -- 00:11:52,751

Yeah.

143

00:
11:52,918 -- 00:11:56,354

Sort of like a three-dimensional version

of that painting.

144

00:
11:57,598 -- 00:11:59,236

Is Marcy here?

145

00:
11:59,718 -- 00:12:02,676

She had to go out

to the all-night drugstore.

146

00:
12:04,158 -- 00:12:06,911

- Is she all right?

- It's under control.

147

00:
12:07,918 -- 00:12:09,829

PAUL:

This place is huge.

148

00:
12:11,198 -- 00:12:13,587

Do you share it with anyone?

149

00:
12:13,758 -- 00:12:16,147

KIKl:
Hey, would you like to

work on this for a while?

150

00:
12:16,438 -- 00:12:19,077

- I could use a break.

- What?

151

00:
12:19,718 -- 00:12:21,356

It's not hard.

152

00:
12:22,958 -- 00:12:26,587

What are you talking about?

This is yours.

153

00:
12:27,358 -- 00:12:29,872

- How would I know what you want?

- Look, it's real easy.

154

00:
12:30,038 -- 00:12:33,553

Just take some of this stuff

and slap it on like this.

155

00:
12:33,798 -- 00:12:35,151

[PHONE RINGING]

156

00:
12:35,318 -- 00:12:37,115

KIKl:

All right, I'm coming.

157

00:
12:40,158 -- 00:12:41,557

Yeah?

158

00:
12:43,318 -- 00:12:45,070

Of course he's here.

You invited him.

159

00:
12:48,558 -- 00:12:50,867

That's your problem, Marcy.

I'm not gonna tell him.

160

00:
12:51,038 -- 00:12:52,949

I'm not telling him.

161

00:
12:53,118 -- 00:12:54,870

I can't talk any louder.

162

00:
12:55,878 -- 00:12:57,311

All right, hurry up.

163

00:
12:57,838 -- 00:13:00,511

- How's it going?

- It's great.

164

00:
13:00,798 -- 00:13:02,709

I'm just giving him a shoulder.

165

00:
13:05,198 -- 00:13:07,154

Look what you did to your shirt.

166

00:
13:08,998 -- 00:13:10,477

Oh, good.

167

00:
13:11,198 -- 00:13:14,668

- Give it to me, I'll throw it in the wash.

- No, that's all right.

168

00:
13:15,078 -- 00:13:16,909

It'll only take 20 minutes.

169

00:
13:18,158 -- 00:13:19,511

That's okay.

170

00:
13:22,078 -- 00:13:23,431

Come on.

171

00:
13:23,598 -- 00:13:26,351

You wanna look nice

for your big date, don't you?

172

00:
13:28,158 -- 00:13:29,557

All right.

173

00:
13:31,958 -- 00:13:33,471

- Twenty minutes, huh?

- Uh-huh.

174

00:
13:40,438 -- 00:13:43,157

- Put this on while you're waiting.

- Thanks.

175

00:
13:48,638 -- 00:13:51,789

You do that all day

and your own shoulders get pretty sore.

176

00:
13:54,918 -- 00:13:56,317

Want a massage?

177

00:
13:57,398 -- 00:13:59,992

- You read my mind. Would you?

- Sure.

178

00:
14:02,078 -- 00:14:03,955

I'm not too good at this.

179

00:
14:04,118 -- 00:14:06,678

Just know a few basic moves.

180

00:
14:06,998 -- 00:14:09,387

Just make it hurt

and you're on the right track.

181

00:
14:09,558 -- 00:14:11,355

That's all I know.

182

00:
14:13,198 -- 00:14:14,677

Okay.

183

00:
14:23,358 -- 00:14:26,475

- You have a great body.

- Yes.

184

00:
14:28,278 -- 00:14:30,189

Not a lot of scars.

185

00:
14:32,038 -- 00:14:33,437

That's true.

186

00:
14:35,198 -- 00:14:36,517

Never occurred to me.

187

00:
14:36,678 -- 00:14:39,829

I mean, some women I know

are covered with them head to toe.

188

00:
14:40,318 -- 00:14:42,070

Not me.

189

00:
14:43,438 -- 00:14:45,076

- Scars?

- Uh-huh.

190

00:
14:46,678 -- 00:14:49,146

Horrible, ugly scars.

191

00:
14:52,158 -- 00:14:54,274

I'm just telling you, now.

192

00:
14:59,758 -- 00:15:02,591

I don't know.

193

00:
15:05,238 -- 00:15:07,149

I know, when I was a kid...

194

00:
15:07,958 -- 00:15:12,474

...I had to have my tonsils taken out.

195

00:
15:13,758 -- 00:15:15,430

And after the operation...

196

00:
15:15,598 -- 00:15:17,668

...they didn't have enough room

in Pediatrics.

197

00:
15:17,838 -- 00:15:21,035

So they had to put me

in the burn ward.

198

00:
15:22,718 -- 00:15:24,674

But before they wheeled me in...

199

00:
15:25,198 -- 00:15:28,554

...this nurse gave me...

Joseph Minion

Joseph Minion (born 1957 in Teaneck, New Jersey) is an American film director and screenwriter, best known for Martin Scorsese's After Hours (1985). Born in New Jersey in 1957, Minion briefly attended NYU Film School before finishing his studies at Columbia University, then renowned for its screenwriting program. In 1984, Minion's script for After Hours was optioned by Griffin Dunne and Amy Robinson, the latter a former actress who'd appeared as Harvey Keitel's damaged girlfriend in Scorsese's Mean Streets (1973). Robinson sent Minion's screenplay to Scorsese, whose Last Temptation of Christ had recently fallen through; production on After Hours started shortly afterward. Later, it surfaced that Minion had plagiarized portions of After Hours from radio host Joe Frank, who sued and settled for an undisclosed sum.Minion continued his screenwriting career with 1987's Julia and Julia starring Kathleen Turner; 1989's Vampire's Kiss, starring Nicolas Cage; Motorama (1991); and On the Run (1999). He also worked again with Martin Scorsese in 1986 for an episode of Amazing Stories, "Mirror, Mirror".As a director, Minion made his debut for producer Roger Corman with 1987's Daddy's Boys, said to have been thrown together at the last minute to make use of standing sets for Big Bad Mama II. His last outing as director was for another low-budget feature, Trafficking (1999). more…
