Alpha Dog Page #3

Synopsis: 1999, Claremont, California. Middle-class kids, in their 20s, talk trash, wave guns, hang out in a pack. Johnny Truelove, drug dealer and son of a underworld figure, threatens Jake Mazursky, an explosive head case who owes Johnny money; Jake responds by breaking into Johnny's house. On impulse, Johnny and a couple pals kidnap Jake's 15-year-old brother, Zach. Zach's okay with it, figuring his brother will pay the debt soon. Johnny assigns his buddy Frankie to be Zach's minder, and they develop a brotherly friendship. Zach parties with his captors as things begin to spin out of control. Group think, amorality, and fear of prison assert a hold on the pack. Is Zach in danger?

- Oh, boy.

- Get inside.

- Oh, Dad!

You wanted him,

you got him.

Hi!

Bye!

BUTCH:
You're a real

son of a b*tch,

you know that?

Come on!

MAN:
I was f***ing my dog

one time, right?

No, no, no. Hey...

Hey, look at the caboose

on that one.

I could crack that open

like a peach.

Are you f***ing kidding me?

You are a f***ing dinosaur,

Cosmo.

Come on. You're dead.

You can't do anything.

Your balls

are all wrinkled up.

- What?

- What?

"What?" You deaf f***.

I said you're old.

I can knock the bottom

out of her.

You don't even know

what a bottom is.

You don't know what to do.

Balls deep.

Hey, waitress!

What can I do for you?

What did you have in mind?

Just get another

round of drinks.

- You haven't finished the last ones.

- I didn't ask you that.

- Just get us some more f***ing drinks.

- Get us some drinks, b*tch!

Come on.

Mind your manners.

We're fine.

Just give me the bill.

Hey, no, Dad.

Come on, I got it.

Oh, you got it, huh?

What are you...

Look at this guy.

- Special occasion.

- Big spender over here!

- Come on, Cos, let's go.

- Johnny says we're leaving, let's go!

Hey, Johnny,

watch this.

- Tell Jake we stopped in.

- Oh, I will.

When I told Jake

what happened,

he f***ing flipped out.

And I had to calm him down.

He was going to kill Johnny.

Jake's like that.

He's a very passionate

person.

But I told him,

"No. If you're gonna

do something,

"you got to f***ing

hit him where it hurts."

Johnny had a car stolen

by a mutual acquaintance,

and he was trying to collect

on the insurance money.

Jake comes in,

salts the whole f***ing deal,

insurance company

catches wind of it,

they don't pay out.

Costs Johnny $30,000.

Of course,

Johnny had to retaliate.

It's f***ing business.

Mr. Johansson

wants to see you.

You wanted to see me?

Sit down.

What's up, Pete?

Your probation officer called.

You talked to Mr. Lampington?

I thought he was out of town.

Yeah. Well,

I talked to him.

He says you've been getting

into trouble again.

Breaking into houses,

using drugs. Speed, mainly.

It's not true.

- Yeah, it is.

- No, it's not.

Pete, I swear to God.

Dude. Dude! It's...

I feel you. I'm right here.

Don't look at me that way.

I'm telling you

the f***ing truth!

I'm totally

f***ing straight, man!

I mean, I'm a little...

Mr. Lampington

is so full of sh*t.

He's out of f***ing town.

How would he know

what I'm doing?

- You disappoint me.

- Pete.

Pete.

I swear to f***ing God.

I need you

to take a drug test.

Pete, come on.

I need this job.

I need this job.

- I really need this job.

- Fill it up.

I need this f***ing job!

Back off!

F*** you! F*** you!

F*** you!

Get the f*** out of here!

You're fired!

Get your sh*t and get out!

Do not let him back in here!

I will take you down

to hell with me!

Get the f*** out of here!

I will take you down

to f***ing hell with me!

I will take you down

to hell with me!

F***ing crackhead Mazursky

JAKE:
This is just

- Mazursky, right?

- Can you believe that sh*t?

After everything I've done

for that motherf***er?

Look, Johnny, f*** him.

Let's get the hell

out of Dodge. Go to Fiesta.

F*** some b*tches.

- That's what I'm talking about.

- Right?

Let's run through some sh*t!

Schmitty, we're going

to go to the Springs

for a couple days.

You stay here

and get everything

all boxed up and out.

I don't want to see sh*t here

when I get back, okay?

- All right.

- All right. I want a receipt, too.

Yeah, and maybe

if you guys are still there

when I get finished,

I'll cruise down there.

- Yeah. Maybe you can blow me.

- F*** you, dick. I wanna come.

Yeah, yeah. Just make sure

you get the sh*t smell

out of the carpet, b*tch!

I don't get it.

What are we doing?

Let's go break

this f***ing guy's head.

Mazursky!

He's not here.

I'm telling you,

he's gone, man. Look,

his car is not even here.

That don't mean sh*t.

There's not even

any f***ing lights on.

How are the lights going

to be on? It's the middle

of the f***ing day.

What the f*** are we doing?

I don't know,

but I'm not standing here

You know what?

For once in your life,

your tennis match will wait.

Why do you have to be such

a f***ing p*ssy?

What are you thinking?

What are you

getting crazy about?

- It's not that big a deal.

- I am not crazy!

- If you were ever here...

- Would you just leave it?

...you might notice that.

- Oh, great. Let's just let him turn out like...

- Like what, Olivia? Like who?

- Like what?

- Say it. Like Jake?

Hey.

What's going on?

Oh, jeez.

BUTCH:
Come here.

Come here.

Your mother found this

in your room.

- It's a pipe.
