Annie Page #11

Synopsis: Annie is a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan. But everything's about to change when the hard-nosed tycoon and New York mayoral candidate Will Stacks - advised by his brilliant VP, Grace and his shrewd and scheming campaign advisor, Guy - makes a thinly-veiled campaign move and takes her in. Stacks believes he's her guardian angel, but Annie's self-assured nature and bright, sun-will-come-out-tomorrow outlook on life just might mean it's the other way around.

on things that really

matter to me the most,

and that's this

amazing little girl, Annie.

Because...

Oh, It's kind of dusty.

No, it's not dusty.

I'm crying.

That's my family.

Thank you.

I need one more thing from you.

You are always on the hustle.

What is it now?

Stop playing games.

Oh, yeah, I got this.

You all right?

I'm fine.

Grace, listen,

I've always had a problem

with realizing what's

right in front of me,

and, well, I'm learning.

Would you like to

go out to dinner with me?

What?

I mean, without you,

I can't function.

That just doesn't mean

work either.

You're right about everything.

You're right about the phone,

you're right about Guy,

you're right about

this mayoral race,

right about the wind...

Oh, shut up!

Ooh!

Together at last!

Together forever!

We're tying a knot

They never can sever!

I don't need sunshine now

To turn my skies to blue

I don't need

anything but you!

You've wrapped me around

That cute little finger

You've made life a song

You made me a singer, oh!

You're not warm and fuzzy

And ain't

the most shyest girl

- But nothing on Earth

- But nothing on Earth

- Could ever divide us!

- Could ever divide us!

Today was terrible.

Today was

a straight-up nightmare.

- But that was then

- But that was then

'Cause I was

looking for something

'Cause I was

looking for something

- Looking for my loose end

- Looking for my loose end

Now I don't

need anything but you

Now I don't

need anything but you

- But that was then

- But that was then

- I was looking for something

- I was looking for something

Looking for my loose end

Looking for my loose end

Now I don't need

anything but you

Now I don't need

anything but you

But nothing on Earth

But nothing on Earth

Could ever divide us!

Could ever divide us!

But nothing on Earth

But nothing on Earth

Could ever divide us!

Could ever divide us!

But nothing on Earth

But nothing on Earth

Could ever divide us!

Could ever divide us!

But nothing on Earth

But nothing on Earth

Could ever divide us!

Could ever divide us!

Yeah, all right.

Everybody dance now

No, no.

It's their thing, mami.

Together at last!

Together forever!

We're tying a knot

They never can sever!

They never can sever!

You're two of a kind

The happiest pair now

Like bright shooting stars

You're floating on air now

And what's the title of the

dream that just came true?

I don't need anything

Anything

Anything

I don't need

anything but you

Keeps singing

and dancing like that,

there's no way

he was ever gonna win.

"The city is full of opportunity.

It's yours to take.

"The sun will

come out tomorrow."

The sun'll come out

tomorrow

Bet your bottom dollar

that tomorrow

There'll be sun

Just thinkin'

about tomorrow

Clears away

the cobwebs and the sorrow

'Til there's none

When I'm stuck with a day

That's gray, and lonely

I just stick out

my chin and grin

And say

The sun'll come out

tomorrow

So you gotta

hang on 'til tomorrow

Come what may

Tomorrow, tomorrow!

But nothing on Earth

I love you, tomorrow!

Could ever divide us

You're always a day away!

But nothing on Earth

Could ever divide us

Tomorrow!

But nothing on Earth

Tomorrow!

Could ever divide us

I love you, tomorrow

You're always a day

Away!

To-To-To-To-Tomorrow

Tomorrow is a day away

Yeah!

Whoo!

Hey, America

Let's turn it up

Yeah, check out our style

'Cause you know you're never

fully dressed without a smile

Your clothes may be

Chanel, Gucci

Your shoes crocodile

But baby, you're never

fully dressed without a...

But if you stand for nothing,

you'll fall for it all

We got all we need,

got love and more

You're never fully dressed

without a smile

And if you stand for

something, you can have it all

'Cause if it's real,

you'll open every door

You're never fully dressed

without a smile

You're never fully dressed

without a smile

Oh

You're never fully dressed

without a smile

It's the hard-knock life

for us!

It's the hard-knock life

for us!

'Steada treated

We get tricked!

'Steada kisses

We get kicked!

It's the hard-knock life

Don't it feel like

the wind is always howling?

Don't it seem like

there's never any light?

Once a day don't you wanna

throw the towel in?

It's easier

than puttin' up a fight

No one's there when your

dreams at night get creepy!

No one cares if you

grow or if you shrink!

Empty belly life!

Rotten smelly life!

Full of sorrow life!

No tomorrow life!

Santa Claus we never see

Santa Claus

What's that? Who's he?

No one cares for you a bit

When you're a foster kid!

It's the hard-knock life!

It's the hard-knock life

for us

Yank the whiskers

from her chin

It's the hard-knock life for

us Jab her with a safety pin

'Steada treated, we get tricked

Send her to the loony bin

'Steada kisses,

we get kicked

It's the hard-knock life

for us

Yank the whiskers

from her chin

It's the hard-knock life for

us Jab her with a safety pin

No one cares for you a bit

Send her to the loony bin

When you're a foster kid!

It's the hard-knock life

It's the hard-knock life

She's a fish

and he's a boy

Moonquake, moonquake

I want to take a swim

in Lake Moon

Now I am awake, awake

Since I dove into your blue

Moonquake, moonquake

I want to take a swim

in Lake Moon

Now I am awake, awake

Since I dove into your blue

She came from the Moon

ready to fight

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

With scales and a tail

and a fishy bite

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Ready to destroy

all of humankind

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Fierce and fighting

with a brook trout mind

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

He was born in

above the earth

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Strong in legend,

my soul's in mirth

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Son of a mom

and a bee farmer

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

With just a smile

for a sweet...

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

They were never

meant to meet

But fate didn't listen

They were never

meant to be

Oh, it never does

They were never

meant to see

It didn't listen

They were never...

She's a fish

and he's a boy

Moonquake, moonquake

I want to take a swim

in Lake Moon

Now I am awake, awake

Since I dove into your blue

Moonquake, moonquake

I want to catch you

in my net

Now I am awake, awake

Like the day

we never met

They met one solstice

at a fishing hole

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

He was unsure

casting his pole

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

She swam right up to him

and took the bait

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

He reeled her in

and made it a date

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

When your words are worn

and you look inside

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Fight the power,

stop the divide

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Four eyes, two gills,

one human nose

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

Wrap your arms around me

and then lean in close

Nah-nah-nah-nah

Nah-nah-nah

You'll have clothes

Moonquake, moonquake

I want to take a swim

in Lake Moon

Now I am awake, awake
