[Scene 1:
Bader's House - Living Room]

(Bader is sitting on the couch, looking nervous. Slim Z walks in.)

Slim Z:
Hey, Bader, what's going on? You seem a bit off today.

Bader:
(blushing) Well, um... I have something to tell you. I think I'm in love with Everliegh.

Slim Z:
(raising an eyebrow) Everliegh? Your best friend? That's unexpected.

Bader:
Yeah, I know. It just hit me recently, and... it's been bothering me.

[Scene 2:
Bader's House - Kitchen]

(Annie Baltic, Caleb Reynolds, and Shaikha are in the kitchen)

Annie:
(noticing Bader's expression) What's wrong, Bader?

Bader:
(looking down) I got a D on my math test, and Everliegh's mom scolded Slim Z for not helping me like he was supposed to.

Annie:
(reprimanding Slim Z) Slim Z? I thought I told you to assist Bader with his schoolwork.

Slim Z:
(defensively) I did help him! I don't know what happened.

Annie:
(turning to Everliegh) Everliegh, would you mind helping Bader with his math?

Everliegh:
Of course, I'd be happy to help.

[Scene 3:
School - Hallway]

(Bader is walking down the hallway, and Tashi approaches him)

Tashi:
(snidely) Well, well, look who it is. Bader, trying to impress Everliegh?

Bader:
(defensively) Mind your own business, Tashi.

[Scene 4:
School - Classroom]

(Bader is sitting at his desk, attempting to impress Everliegh)

Bader:
(trying to be charming) So, Everliegh, I was wondering if you'd like to hang out sometime after school.

Everliegh:
(smiling) That sounds nice, Bader. I'd love to.

(Bader's heart breaks as he sees Everliegh being hugged by a random kid)

Bader:
(disheartened) Oh... I see.

[Scene 5:
School - Cafeteria]

(Bader and Caleb Johnston are sitting together at lunch)

Bader:
(sighing) Caleb, you won't believe what happened. I caught Everliegh being hugged by someone else.

Caleb Johnston:
(shocked) Zoo wee mama! That's tough, man. But hey, don't get discouraged.

Bader:
(looking up) Really? What should I do?

Caleb Johnston:
Well, sometimes things don't work out the way we want them to. But you can still be a great friend to Everliegh and cherish your friendship. And who knows, maybe there's someone else out there for you.

Bader:
(grateful) Thanks, Caleb. That means a lot.
