INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Bader (9) and Slim Z (14) are sitting on the couch, watching TV. Shaikha (1) is playing with her toys nearby. Caleb Reynolds (23) and Annie Baltic (22), their babysitters, are chatting in the kitchen.

BADER:
(to Slim Z) Hey, Slim do you think we can convince Annie and Caleb to take us to see "Dreamgirls"? It's their anniversary, but it would be so much fun!

SLIM Z:
(frowning) I don't know, Bader. Shaikha doesn't look too well, and I'm starting to feel a bit sick too.

Shaikha coughs.

BADER:
(disappointed) Oh no, not now!

ANNIE:
(walking over): Hey, guys. Slim Z, I think you might need to rest, and Shaikha needs to get better. I'm sorry, but we can't go to the movies today.

CALEB REYNOLDS:
(sighs) Yeah, I was looking forward to it too. Let's make sure everyone feels better, okay?

BADER:
(defeated) Okay, I guess we'll have to make the best of it.

INT. KITCHEN - LATER

Bader talks to Everleigh Labrant (10) and Caleb Johnston (11), his best friends, about the school cookie selling competition.

BADER:
(excited) Guys, I need to raise the most money for our field trip to Washington, D.C., but I have no idea how. I don't want to let everyone down.

EVERLEIGH:
(thinking) Hmm, have you considered talking to some people in the neighborhood? Maybe they can help you with ideas or even buying cookies.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(excitedly) Yeah, and maybe we can ask some of the older guys in the neighborhood. You know, the ones that sometimes sell, um, special things.

BADER:
(uncertain) I don't know, guys. That sounds a little risky.

INT. STREET - DAY

Bader walks nervously down the street, eyeing a group of neighborhood crooks, who are unloading boxes from a truck. Bader musters up his courage and approaches them.

BADER:
(nervously) Hey, guys. I heard you had some cookies for sale. How can I get in on that?

CROOK #1:
(smiling) Kid, you're in luck. These fell right out of a truck this morning. Five dollars a box, fresh as can be.

Bader buys some cookies and starts his cookie-selling journey.

INT. POLICE STATION - LATER

Bader is in a lineup, standing alongside other suspects. The police officer is questioning witnesses.

POLICE OFFICER:
(pointing at Bader) Do any of these men fit the description of the Cookies truck robber?

WITNESS:
(indicating Bader) Uh, that one there, I think it's him.

BADER:
(in voiceover) I know I looked cool on the outside, but on the inside, I Was feeling like this.

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM - CONTINUOUS

Bader sits alone, tears streaming down his face.

BADER:
(crying) I promise I didn't steal anything. I'm not a thief. I want my mama.

INT. POLICE STATION - LATER

The police officer and Bader sit at the table, surrounded by boxes of cookies.

POLICE OFFICER:
(smirking) Kid, you're lucky these are the best darn cookies I've ever tasted. You might have a future in sales. Now get out of here.

Bader leaves the police station, feeling relieved.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

Annie and Caleb Reynolds enter the living room, smiling.

ANNIE:
(excitedly) Bader, you did it! You raised so much money for your fundraiser!

CALEB REYNOLDS:
(proudly) The police officers bought a whole bunch of cookies. They were really impressed.

BADER:
(grinning) Thanks, guys. I'm glad everything worked out in the end.

They share a group hug, filled with joy and relief.
