wall.
The audible sound of humming causes him to sit up.
He notices a glitter in the rocks just a few feet in front of
him.
He crawls over to it and begins to dig. Within a moment he
uncovers a gold necklace with a ruby pendant.

tired and worn out.
In front of the Morgue is three coffins. Inside are dead men
covered in soot.
2.
Next to the dead is JACOB, preacher for God or so he says. He
stands on an apple box and in front of him is a small crowd.
JACOB:
Once again that infernal mine has
taken our loved ones. There is
nothing worth the loss of family.
Not gold.
He spits.
JACOB:
Not silver.
He spits.
JACOB:
I spit upon thee oh worldly
possessions for I am the life of
God.
Tristan drags by the gathering. Jacob continues his speech
while staring at him.
JACOB:
The devil has possessed our hearts.
We are greedy. He is among us. We
must purge him from our homes. We
must close that mine, and open our
eyes to the light!
The small crowd cheers.
Tristan moves down a side street, he enters an old shack that
barely stands.

gold.
Lucy doesn't respond to Tristan but stands and steps to the
door pushing past him.
Tristan grabs her arm.
TRISTAN:
Hey.
LUCY:
Don't touch me.
She rips his grip, gives him another look of death, then
pushes out the door.
TRISTAN:
The preachers on a rampage!
Lucy doesn't look back as she strides down the dusty path.
Closing the door, Tristan sighs and then kneels beside Sarah.
Moving some hair from her face, he smiles.
TRISTAN:
Hey baby, I'm home.
Her eyes barely open.
SARAH:
Hey Daddy. Did you find some gold?
TRISTAN:
I found something, but you can't
tell anybody, not even your mother.
SARAH:
I promise, cross my heart.
From his enclosed hand drops the necklace.
Sarah's eyes open wide.
SARAH:
Oh, it's beautiful.
TRISTAN:
It's yours.

He puts it around her neck.
SARAH:
I'll never take it off.
TRISTAN:
Good. Now lets cook some breakfast.

She wears a black cloak and her face hides under a hood.
She looks at the bed where it seems that Sarah is tucked
under the covers.
Tristan wraps up his lunch and looks at Lucy.
TRISTAN:
Where have you been?
Lucy flips off the hood, her face twisted into a snarl.
LUCY:
What do you care?
TRISTAN:
You're my wife.
LUCY:
(laughing)
You are not my husband.
Stepping to the bed, Tristan kneels and gives a quick kiss.
TRISTAN:
Good night love.
He stops in front of the door.
6.
TRISTAN:
You fooled me when I was young, but
the stench of hell seeps from you.
-- I can no longer hide your dark
secrets.
Leaving, he slams the door.

dagger.

7.
The Zippo's flame drops from his wrinkled face.
LUCY:
Father.
DEVIL:
You were to leave him alone.
Her face turns cold and dark with a cringe.
Using the cane, he walks from the shadow and stands in front
of her.
LUCY:
I have it under control.
DEVIL:
No you don't!
He calms down and takes a deep inhale of dark gray smoke.
DEVIL:
Finish the book, now.
LUCY:
Not before he pays.
From the shadows of an alley, Jacob watches.
DEVIL:
Where is it? Where is the book?
LUCY:
Safe.
DEVIL:
And your child?
LUCY:
Dead.
The Devil moves close to Lucy, mouth only inches from her
face.
DEVIL:
Never lie to me again. -- His
bloodline can destroy, my plans. You
made a mistake falling in love, I
won't accept another.
She looks into his eyes.

A piece of wood slips and makes a noise next to Jacob.
With a wave of the hand the Devil pulls Jacob into the moon

She lashes out with her hand and flames explode from behind
them devouring their flesh.
As she makes her way down the main street, she continues to
lash out with her hand, blowing out store fronts with dark
red flames.
She reaches the end of town and quickly turns the corner,
leaving behind a burning mess.

A posse carrying torches, guns and pitch forks gather in
center of town. A few smoldering fires remain from Lucy's
rampage.
Jacob stands on a box in front of the crowd.
JACOB:
We must find that devil, Lucy. We
can not allow evil to posses our
town.
MOB MEMBER:
Burn her!
Everybody cheers.
JACOB:
To the mine!
They all turn out of town.
Rachel and Tristan hang from the building's rafters by a rope
tied their wrists.
Rachel wears a translucent silk gown and Tristan wears
nothing but a pair of pants. They've both been beaten and are
bleeding from mouths and noses.
Surrounded by candles, Lucy is prostrate on the floor and
whispering in Latin.
TRISTAN:
Lucy, let Rachel go. This is between
you and me.
10.
Lucy gets up and turns to face them. Her face shadowed by the
cloak. Her right hand pulls a dagger from with in the cloak.

LUCY:
Shut up.
Lucy slaps her.

dusty floor.
JACOB (O.S.)
Tristan, send Rachel out now!
Lucy slits a cut into Tristan's bare chest and then does the
same to Rachel.
Rachel screams.
Dropping the dagger she raises her hands in front of their
chests.
She looks at Tristan.
LUCY:
The first time our eyes met, I
wanted you to love me. But you
treated me like I didn't exist. So,
I cursed you to love me. -- Now I
take that curse and give you
another.
12.
JACOB (O.S.)
Let out my daughter!
The storm stops, leaving silence. The clouds part for a dark
red blood moon, near an eclipse.
The posse looks around in bewilderment.
Lucy places her bleeding hands on each of their bleeding
chest wounds.
LUCY:
I curse you as creatures of the
night. To roam the earth forever
thirsting the blood of man. Only on
the eclipsed Blood Moon will you see
her human form and remember how much
you lust for her perfect flesh. --
Abbas of atrum , meus abbas of
viscus , planto illa letalis res
verato in vestri debitum.
The moon reaches full eclipse.
A low rumble escapes from deep with in the ground.
The earth shakes and the posse stumbles around.
The earthquake rumbles inside the cabin shaking dust from the
ceiling.
Lucy's hands glow red.
Rachel screams as the hand singes her skin releasing smoke.
Rachel's face distorts and twists as a beast like werewolf
works it's way out from under her smooth flesh.
The hand on Tristan singes his skin and he yells.
13.
The screaming penetrates the cabin's walls reaching Jacob who
fights to stand on the shaking ground.
He drops to his knees.

moon light.

remains that of a woman.
Tristan grows vampire fangs.
They're both slumped over and pass out when Lucy removes her
smoldering hands.
She moves very close to Rachel's werewolf ear.
LUCY:
Your filthy bite will infect your
victims turning them into the living
dead. A silver bullet through your
heart will end this curse. But I
leave you with one more gift. Your
blood spilling on the earth's dust
will raise me from the dead.
Lucy slaps her hand on Rachel's wound as she lets out a
scream.
JACOB:
Break down the door!
Two men rush the door and just as they grip the handle it
busts open.
Lucy strides onto the patio coming face to face with Jacob
and the posse aiming rifles and pistols at her.
14.
JACOB:
In the name of the lord, Submit
yourself.
Irritated, Lucy looks around at the mob.
She releases a horrendous laugh raising her bleeding hands.
MOB MEMBER:
She's gonna curse us!
MOB MEMBER 2
Kill her.
JACOB:
Now!
The rifles and pistols release a fury of bullets upon Sadie.
Each round rips through her flesh spewing blood and bone.
JACOB:
STOP!
The rain of bullets cease.
From inside the cabin comes a low growl.
Bullet ridden and bloody, Lucy gives one last smile.
LUCY:
Jacob, your daughter is hungry.
Lucy drops dead on the dusty wood planks.
Everyone looks at each other as another growl comes from
inside the cabin.
Jacob walks up a few steps stopping short of Lucy's body.
He peers into the dark cabin.
JACOB:
Rachel? It's your father.
Up one more step.
In the black, dark red eyes blink.

Again the door shakes.
61 EXT. PORK SHOP - MOMENTS LATER
Darrel blasts a shotgun load through a Zombie's Head and then
cracks the barrel open to reload.
He runs to the front of the pork shop and slides to a stop.
At the front door is a lone Zombie hand, still alive.
29.
The hand turns to face him.
DARREL:
No. No no no.
It leaps like a jumping spider and lands on his neck.
Dropping the shot gun, Darrel grips the hand trying to rip it
off.
It comes loose and he throws it a few feet away from him.
For a moment it looks dead, then jumps back to life.
DARREL:
Oh, not cool!
He turns and runs with the hand in hot pursuit.
62 INT. TRAILER - NIGHT
Sadie stares out a window.
SADIE:
We're related?
TRISTAN:
Four years ago I went back to
Desperation. I thought maybe I'd
find answers but instead I found
lies.
63 EXT. DESPERATION - AFTERNOON
64 FLASHBACK
Tristan looks out from under his cowboy hat.
He stands in middle of town, which is now a ghost town.
In front of him is The Devil.
DEVIL:
It's time I end your pain.
TRISTAN:
You owe me nothing.
The Devil smiles and walks toward him.
30.
DEVIL:
Where is she?
Tristan shakes his head.
TRISTAN:
What do you want?
DEVIL:
Lucy gained favor with my generals.
She's mounting a coup against me.
Tristan grunts out a laugh.
TRISTAN:
And I give a sh*t.
DEVIL:
Your daughter, lived and spread
Lucy's seed all over this planet.
TRISTAN:
Damn right she did.
DEVIL:
It's through your blood line that
Lucy will rise again. There is a
pendant, the Heart of Job one of
your descendants carries it.
TRISTAN:
What of it?
DEVIL:
Find and destroy it. It's the key to
her power.
A growl from the dark. Animal eyes peer out onto the men.
The devil responds to the growl looking into the darkness,
Rachel hides.
DEVIL:
Such a beautiful creature.
The devil turns from Tristan and lights a cigar.
DEVIL:
Kill Lucy's blood line, find the
pendant and destroy it. Then I will
lift your curse.
31.
The devil glances at Rachel as she steps into dusk's warm
light.
TRISTAN:
It will be a cold day...
DEVIL:
You don't know how cold it is.
The devil sneers taking in a deep puff of his cigar and looks
at Rachel.
65 FLASHBACK END
66 INT. TRAILER - NIGHT
The door slams again this time giving a little.
TRISTAN:
You are the last of my blood line.
SADIE:
You're lying, I saw my parents this
afternoon.
Sadie looks out the kitchen window, Darrel runs by with a
hand gripped onto his helmet.
TRISTAN:
I'm sorry. They're dead.
Darrel runs by the window again this time the hand is gripped
on his balls.
On the dirty counter is a rusty old kitchen knife.
Tristan pulls out a necklace holding a key that has a ruby in
it's hilt.
SADIE:
That's my mothers.
Sadie snatches it from his hands.
TRISTAN:
That's the Heart of Job.
SADIE:
You lie!
Sadie slaps him then turns spotting the kitchen knife she
grabs it and slams the blade deep into his chest.
32.
Stumbling back from him, she looks down at the blade then
back up at his face. He smiles revealing his vampire teeth.
TRISTAN:
You need not believe me.
Tristan pulls out the knife and drops it in front of her.
TRISTAN:
But she.
The door bangs again.
TRISTAN:
Will not stop until you're dead. --
The necklace closes the gates to
hell.
Another hit on the door.
TRISTAN:
We were fools to think he would tell
us the truth. The key to open hell's
gates is still in Desperation. --
It's a book covered in human skin
and letters burned with blood.
Tristan moves to the window and looks up.
The moon is near completely eclipsed.
Tristan grabs her hand.
TRISTAN:
Find the book and destroy it. --
When the moon is in full eclipse
Rachel will return to her human
form.
He removes a pistol from his holster and pulls out a silver
bullet.
The wolf lets out a loud growl.
TRISTAN:
Through her heart is the only way.
The moon reaches full eclipse.
Tristan opens the door and steps outside.
33.
67 EXT. PORK SHOP - CONTINUOUS
Rachel howls at the dark sky, then shudders.
Her wolf form melts off her leaving a nude beauty, shaking in
the cold night.
Tristan helps her up and wraps the cloak around her.
She looks into his eyes.
The lock arms around each other and kiss a passionately heavy
kiss.
TRISTAN:
Rachel, you must listen to me.
Angry, Rachel looks him.
RACHEL:
Lucy will never breath again.
TRISTAN:
He lied to us.
Sadie steps out of the trailer holding the gun.
RACHEL:
Stunning, her resemblance.
The moon moves from behind the earth.
Rachel steps away from Tristan.
RACHEL:
Tonight, Lucy burns in hell forever.
She howls at the moon as her eyes turn back to their animal
state.
The cloak drops at her feet.
Sadie turns and runs.
Her hands shake trying to load the round, when Rachel slams
into her.
They hit the ground, the wolf flipping off Sadie and sliding
to a stop only a few feet from her.
34.
Sadie scrambles for the gun, the bullet hangs half way
loaded.
TRISTAN:
Rachel!
Tristan removes another pistol and takes aim.
Rachel growls and strides toward Sadie.
BOOM! A round rips into Rachel and blood squirts but it does
not stop her forward progression.
She takes another step toward Sadie when Tristan unloads
another round into her.
More blood explodes from the wolf but it does not stop her.
TRISTAN:
Leave her alone!
Tears run from Tristan's face.
Sadie lies on her stomach when Rachel steps over her. Blood
drips on Sadie's back.
Rachel howls at the moon, reading for a strike.
Rolling over Sadie holds the pistol cocked and ready to fire.
SADIE:
Go to hell, b*tch.
The pistol snaps but nothing happens.
SADIE:
Sh*t.
Rachel looks down at Sadie ready to strike.
BOOM. A bullet rips through Rachel sending her flying off
Sadie.
Blood hits the dust and seeps through instantly as if the
Earth sucked it up like a straw.
35.
68 SVX UNDERGROUND - CONTINUOUS
Following the blood into the dirt it races through the ground
gaining speed. Passing roots and buried items long forgotten
the blood reaches a wooden coffin with a burned upside down
cross on it. Reversing from the coffin it races out of the
ground revealing a grave yard.
69 EXT. PORK SHOP - MOMENTS LATER
Rachel lye on the ground in her naked human form, dead.
Tristan steps beside her covering her with the cloak. Tears
well in his eyes.
Darrel walks up beside Sadie holding the .45.
DARREL:
Silver bullets. If you're gonna
survive in this world you should
read up on this sh*t.
On the horizon the sun begins to rise.
70 EXT. GRAVEYARD - DAWN
Lighting strikes around a fog covered graveyard. Tombstones
are cobbled and old.
The sounds of a storm rips through the atmosphere.
Another lighting strike.
The ground rumbles and dirt jumps from it's resting place.
An unmarked cross leans crooked from the ground.
The shaking becomes violent and lightning frequent.
From under the vibrating dirt, a white hand with green veins
and bloody finger nails rip up.
71 EXT. PORK SHOP - MOMENTS LATER
Tristan stands with Rachel in his arms wrapped loosely in a
cloak.
His face is wet from tears.
The sun is near it's morning reveal.
36.
He looks at Rachel then to Sadie.
TRISTAN:
You're our only hope.
In a flash, Tristan and Rachel are gone, dropping where
Tristan stood is the gun belt with the other pistol.
72 EXT. PORK SHOP - CONTINUOUS
The sun peaks over the horizon.
DARREL:
Where'd he go?
Sadie picks up the gun belt then walks off ignoring him.
DARREL:
Hey. Don't you want to hear how I
killed all those zombies?
SADIE:
Not really.
DARREL:
Oh.
73 EXT. GAS STATION - MOMENTS LATER
Sadie walks toward the Camaro.
DARREL:
It's like when Zargon goes to planet
doom. And Doctor Death and his
minions surround Zargon.
SADIE:
You drive.
Sadie throws Darrel the keys.
DARREL:
Okay.
Darrel opens the driver door when from inside jumps up the
undead Becky.
Screaming Darrel, steps back from the truck when, BOOM.
Blood explodes all over Darrel's face.
37.
A large hole is ripped through Becky's head, through it is
Sadie holding a smoking rifle.
Becky drops from view.
Sadie lowers the pistol.
SADIE:
F***ing zombies.
74 EXT. DESERT - CONTINUOUS
Into the sunrise the Camaro drives off.
75 EXT. GAS STATION - MOMENTS LATER
Out the front door walks Sam. He smiles revealing wolf fangs
and then puts on some dark sunglasses.
FADE OUT.
76 CHAPTER II - LUCY'S REVENGE
77 EXT. DESERT - DAY
A Blazing sun beats down on the desert. A bone dry wash makes
it way through the desert.
A wagon rolls buy. A half eaten MAN sits at reigns still
being nibbled on by Zombies.
Over a hill the Camaro jumps catching air.
Standing in back is Sadie holding a shot gun.
At the wheel is Darrel.
They jump by the wagon both looking at the zombies who stare
back.
Sadie points the shotgun and unloads both barrels taking out
the zombies.
The Camaro lands and speeds off into the dark.
DARREL:
Nice shot!
38.
SADIE:
How much farther!?
DARREL:
I don't know.
Darrel holds up a fold-open paper map.
DARREL:
This map is worthless.
The map is caught by the wind and blown away, revealing that
he was actually reading a Blood Moon Rising comic book.
SADIE:
Damn it, Darrel!
DARREL:
Real men don't use maps.
He looks back at the road as she sits down and reloads the
shot gun.
DARREL:
Did you get them all?
SADIE:
How should I know?
DARREL:
If we don't kill all the zombies.
Pretty soon the world's population
will be me and you.
SADIE:
You think?
DARREL:
Think of our kids.
SADIE:
I think if we were the last people
on earth...
She slams the reloaded shotgun closed.
SADIE:
...humanity is going extinct.
DARREL:
We turn up here.
39.
SADIE:
What makes you think that!
DARREL:
Zargon didn't need a map to find
planet doom and neither do we.
He points to a sign as they turn right that reads,
Desperation Studios - Old West Town 5 mi.
78 EXT. PORK SHOP - DAY
Out the front door, stumbles Ruddy. He's turned into a
werewolf but his neck is still torn and bleeding from Sam's
short snack.
Ruddy stumbles around for a moment and then goes for his keys
to find them gone.
RUDDY:
Mindless half wit took my ride.
He drops to the ground and sniffs where the tire tracks are.
Like a dog he follows them to the road.
Standing up at the road side he looks the direction they
drove off.
RUDDY:
Smells like liquorice. Red
Liquorice.
He turns to face the pork shop and parked beside the front
door is a brand new blue Sting Ray Schwinn Bicycle.
RUDDY:
Who's riding the Schwinn now? Heh,
heh.
79 EXT. HILL - DAY
Lucy stands on a hill over looking a beat up nasty little
hole in the wall, BART'S TAVERN and GRUB. Five choppers hang
out front.
Her clothes are ragged and dirty as is her body.
40.
80 INT. BART'S TAVERN - DAY
Lucy kicks in the door to a classic remake of Jimi Hendrix
Purple Haze.
MUSIC INSERT:
Purple Haze - Covered by Jason CormanThe BAR TENDER is a curvy woman with a choke collar wrapped
around her neck and attached to it is a chain tied to the bar
rail. She wears a full black leather out fit. Sitting at the
bar are five werewolf/bikers.
In a dark corner is Sam, surrounded by two purringly sexy
woman. He lowers his glasses and takes in Lucy.
SAM:
Sadie?
The music dies and the bar turns to look at Lucy.
ROUGHNECK and SANCHEZ, they eat hardcore for lunch, stands
from the bar and takes in a long gaze sucking every subtle
sexy inch of Lucy.
SANCHEZ:
Owe, mama cita. You make my tamale
on fire.
ROUGHNECK:
Sh*t Sanchez. She's here for the
Tuesday special.
SANCHEZ:
You mean tube steak.
They move around her, both smiling ear to ear.
She's very disgusted.
With a glance from Lucy, Roughneck starts to choke.
SANCHEZ:
Hey...hey, what you don'.
Roughneck drops to his knees.
SANCHEZ:
Hey b*tch.
Sanchez rips a fist across her face only to have her snap
back with out a single expression.
41.
She nods no and then snaps a death grip on his nuts.
LUCY:
Say audios to your amigos.
In a quick unrestrained movement she throws Sanchez across
the room by his nuts.
The bar's werewolf inhabitants ready for a fight growling at
her.
A werewolf charges and meets a quick fist that sends him
slamming into a table smashing it to bits.
Lucy back slaps another one into a booth.
SAM:
STOP!
The bar freezes.
Lucy moves a strand of hair from her face. With out looking
at Sam, she steps up to the bar.
LUCY:
Whiskey strait.
The bartender drops a shot glass in front of her and fills it
spilling whiskey on the bar top.
Sam moves behind Lucy.
She peers over her shoulder then shoots the whiskey.
SAM:
I thought you were dead.
LUCY:
(to bartender)
More.
Hand shaking, the bartender fills the glass again, spilling
it over the top.
Lucy grabs the glass when Sam grabs her shoulder.
SAM:
Sadie.
In a flash she grabs Sam and flips him over onto the bar
holding him down with one arm.
42.
He struggles but it's to no avail.
SAM:
Hey Sadie it's me! Sam! Cool off!
LUCY:
What did you call me?
SAM:
Sadie. -- I mean maybe your not
her...but...but you look just like
her.
LUCY:
Where is she?!
SAM:
I don't know, man. I mean...last
time I saw her, we were in a butcher
shop just out side Bakersville.
Lucy looks at Sam's hand. The bite marks are still fresh yet
surrounded by blue veins.
She grabs it.
LUCY:
Where you bit by a woman?
SAM:
If that's what you call it.
LUCY:
When?
SAM:
Last night.
Lucy slams the shot glass, then grips the wound on Sam's
hand.
He cries out in pain.
LUCY:
Obey.
Her hand glows red for a moment and then she release him.
SAM:
Gaw, Damn it. It's still hurts.
43.
LUCY:
I'm looking for a town called
Desperation.
ROUGHNECK:
(still gagging)
There's Desperation Studios.
LUCY:
Studios.
BARTENDER:
Yeah, about half a day ride from
here.
She slams Sam's head on the bar.
LUCY:
Take me.
SAM:
Hey. I've never been there.
Sanchez crawls out on his hands and knees.
SANCHEZ:
(high pitched voice)
I can show you.
Lucy turns back to the bar and spots herself in the mirror.
She is dirty and her dress is very ragged.
The Bartender fills her shot glass, Lucy eyes her clothes and
then slams the shot home.
81 EXT. BART'S BAR - DAY
Sam starts up a hog.
Lucy walks out of the bar. She wears the the bartender's
outfit and is cleaned up.
Sanchez sits on a hog with a bleeding zombie head mounted to
the handle bars. He wears a German spike helmet and Roughneck
wears a flyer's helmet with goggles.
SANCHEZ:
Yeah, mama.
Sanchez reeves his engine.
44.
SANCHEZ:
Do me so good.
Lucy ignores him and strides over to the bike Sam sits on.
LUCY:
Move.
She slips between him and the handle bars taking control.
LUCY:
I'm driving.
Click. She drops it into gear.
Peeling out they race onto the highway.
82 EXT. DESPERATION MAIN STREET - DAY
The Camaro races past the aged sign that reads Desperation
pop. the 150 has been crossed out and replaced with a dark
bleeding zero.
They slide to a stop in middle of town.
Both look around at the run down old west town.
SADIE:
Where the hell are we?
Darrel sits up on the seat pulling out his pistol.
SADIE:
What?
DARREL:
Shhh.
A low moaning can be heard from the far end of the street.
SADIE:
Sh*t.
Darrel jumps out of the car.
DARREL:
Move out.
Sadie rolls her eyes as she gets out of the car and snaps the
shot gun closed while grabbing a large ammo military gunny
sack.
45.
83 EXT. HIGHWAY - DAY
Down a dark desert highway, Ruddy pedals the Schwinn as fast
as he can. Every few moments he smells the air.
84 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DAY
They walk down an alley. At the end of the alley is audible
moaning.
A girl SCREAMS.
From around the corner MISSY, valley girl with a bad streak,
runs down the alley, she wears a tight western dress and a
blouse that's been ripped open almost enough to reveal her
nipples.
It's also covered in blood.
Darrel catches her and throws her to the side just as a
Zombie runs around the corner.
A solid fist sends the zombie flying out of the alley.
MISSY:
Hey!
Darrel rips out his pistol and takes aim.
MISSY:
NO!
Missy grabs his hand causing him to just miss.
DAVID (O.S.)
CUT!
DAVID, hairy chest, gold chains and over sized sunglasses.
California playboy whose aged one day past nineteen.
DAVID:
(to Frank)
Did you get that, Franky baby?
FRANK, average muscle with a dark side, slowly pulls away
from the camera. JARED, Rasta with flavor, lowers the boom.
TESS, an Hollywood beat nick, holds a clip board, and looks
at her watch very impatient.
46.
Next to David is BAMBI, Hollywood Icon wanna-be with nothing
to wear, so she wears nothing. She sits on a high back stool.
FRANK:
Who is that?
David jumps from his chair.
DAVID:
That -- was outta sight!
David strides over to Darrel.
DAVID:
David Bird of Bird Moving Pictures.
Darrel spins and points the gun at David.
DARREL:
Stay back!
DAVID:
Whoa! Man, it's a movie. Chill.
MISSY:
Yeah man what's your bag, you
wigging out?
Missy pushes by him, kneeling beside CHUCK who is pulling off
his zombie mask.
Darrel lowers the gun looking confused. Sadie strides around
the corner.
DAVID:
Whoa, you look choice! You guys must
be the extras Phil sent me.
SADIE:
Not really.
DAVID:
No sh*t. Well that's a real bummer.
-- Tess! How am I gonna finish this
film if you can't get my people
here?!
TESS:
Ask Phil yourself. He'll be here in
an hour.
47.
DAVID:
DAMN IT, he's coming here.
Chuck gets up as Missy brushes him off.
CHUCK:
I'm not putting up with any more of
your bullshit surprises. It's not
funny any more.
DAVID:
Chuck, baby, come on, you're golden.
I don't know these goofs.
Tess walks up to them.
TESS:
We've been here four days and have
maybe ten minutes of footage for a
ninety minute film. -- I'm going to
the saloon and drowning myself in a
very deep glass of bourbon. --
David, get your sh*t together.
DAVID:
Awe come on Tess, I'm just wound up.
She waves hand as a response heading down the alley.
DARREL:
You guys got a place to hole up?
DAVID:
Hey man, maybe I'm a little crazy,
but I hate freeloaders with guns.
Sadie looks off into the distance as a wind blows through
camp.
Chuck throws the mask at David.
CHUCK:
We're going for a smoke.
DAVID:
(to Chuck)
Awe, sh*t man we almost got the
take. One more.
48.
MISSY:
We've done it fifteen times. We need
a break.
Missy runs her hand through Dave's hairy chest.
MISSY:
K, babe.
DAVID:
Damn it.
BAMBI:
I'm going with them.
She gets off her stool and follows them around the building.
The sound of moaning is carried on the wind.
SADIE:
Darrel.
DARREL:
What?
SADIE:
We need to find that book and split.
DAVID:
That's a perfect idea.
David saunters back to the chair with his arms up.
DAVID:
I guess we all take five.
A scream chills the air.
DAVID:
What the hell now?
Missy runs back to the group covered in fresh glistening
blood. She's followed by Chuck.
MISSY:
Run!
DAVID:
Come on that was funny the first
day.
49.
CHUCK:
They eating Bambie!
Both of them run by Sadie and down the alley.
DAVID:
Real original.
SADIE:
Dave, if you want live, get into the
saloon.
Sadie readies the shot gun.
David runs his hands through his hair.
DAVID:
Jesus, where'd you freaks come from.
Darrel turns and gives him a solid stare.
DARREL:
Planet Doom.
From around the corner runs a zombie.
Sadie blows a hole through his head.
DAVID:
Sh*t. You killed that guy.
JARED:
Brother Dave, man. That wasn't a
normal guy. I'm dust'n this place.
Two more Zombie's run into the area as Sadie and Darrel
dispatch them.
FRANK:
Get to the Saloon!
Frank runs down the alley followed by Jared.
David pushes Jared down running past him.
DAVID:
Move it candy ass.
Darrel holsters his guns and stretches out his fingers.
50.
Sadie blasts another zombie that runs into view, then scoots
toward the alley.
SADIE:
Darrel, we gotta go!
DARREL:
In the year 2151 Zargon was sent
back in time...
He pulls out both pistols from his belt and blasts a zombie
as she runs into the open.
DARREL:
Sent back to stop Dr. Doom from...
Another zombie falls prey to Darrel's quick aim and shooting
skills.
DARREL:
...destroying the Earth with...
Another gun shot and a Zombie falls.
DARREL:
...the living dead.
BOOM. Another Zombie falls in a mist of blood.
SADIE:
Pick another time to go Zargon and
lets move it!
Sadie grabs his arm, pulling him toward the alley.
Struggling, Darrel stops her pull.
DARREL:
Zargon never runs...
SADIE:
He's a comic book hero.
She stops and points at a group of zombies running at them.
SADIE:
And they're for f***ing real.
Blood drains from Darrel's face as he stares at the zombie
onslaught.
51.
DARREL:
MOVE! FALL BACK! FALL BACK!
85 EXT. HIGHWAY - DAY
A Mercedes Benz races down the dirt road passing the sign
that reads Desperation Old West Studios 5 mi.
86 EXT. DESPERATION MAIN STREET - DAY
Sadie leads Darrel down the main street toward the saloon.
Behind them the street floods with Zombies.
Darrel stashes his pistol and runs for the Saloon's front
door.
Standing at the door is Frank.
FRANK:
Hurry!
Behind them a zombie closes in running super fast.
Sadie blasts the Zombie just before he tackles her.
They dive into the bar.
87 INT. SALOON - DAY
Frank and Chuck move quick to board up the door with a piece
of ply wood. With in moments they have it nailed to the frame
and two pieces of 2x4 over the top of it.
David paces around the saloon out of breath.
Tess sits on the stairs holding a glass of bourbon, staring
at nothing.
Missy finds a moment in Jared's arms.
DAVID:
Would someone please tell me what in
the name of Abraham was that!
Sadie gets off the ground.
SADIE:
You're the big time director. Figure
it out!
52.
Holding out his hand for help up, Darrel looks at Sadie.
Pointing a finger at him, her face is livid.
SADIE:
And you. You pull this Zargon sh*t
again and I'm gonna ram this shot
gun up your ass and forget your
name.
DARREL:
I had it under control.
SADIE:
Yeah like Zargon did in dumb shits
from planet grow the f*** up!
JARED:
Hey...Hey that's going a little far
man. -- Zargon's a cool cat.
Chuck helps up Darrel.
Sadie and Darrel stare for a moment then Darrel breaks the
stand off.
DARREL:
Naw man, she's right.
Sulking he saunters over to the bar and sits on a stool.
Still pacing David, pulls out a joint from his shirt pocket
and lights it, his hands shake so much he barely gets it lit.
In two strides Sadie stands in front of him and rips the
joint from his lips.
DAVID:
Hey.
SADIE:
Shut it! Last time I smoked was with
my dead zombie best friend. So back
off.
She takes in a deep drag, then lets it go.
The entire occupants of the room stare at her except Darrel
who pouts at the bar.
53.
SADIE:
What!
Everybody turns away from her mumbling a few words like
b*tch.
88 EXT. HIGHWAY - DAY
The group of werewolf bikers race by the Desperation sign.
Lucy leads the pack with a wicked smile as the wind rips
through her hair.
89 INT. SALOON - DAY
The plywood shakes as Zombies pound on it.
Sadie stares at the door finishing the last of the joint.
The roach hits the floor.
TESS:
How long will it hold them?
SADIE:
Not long.
Darrel sits at the bar with a shot glass and a bottle of
chocolate milk in front of him.
He drops back the glass and slams down the milk. He then
refills it.
SADIE:
Hey. Pull yourself together.
Darrel flips her off.
DARREL:
Climb it, Tarzan.
SADIE:
Cute.
DARREL:
Leave me alone.
SADIE:
Come on, we have to get that book.
TESS:
Book?
54.
Tess refills her bourbon next to them.
SADIE:
Yeah, it's the key to hell. If we
don't find and destroy it...
She points at the shaking ply wood.
SADIE:
...our world becomes that, full
time.
90 INT. SALOON - DAY
On a table, Sadie empties some of the ammo sack on a table.
It's contents are weapons, knives and bullets of all types.
JARED:
Sheesh. You guys ready for 'nam.
Sadie pulls up a .45 and readies it.
SADIE:
Only way to kill a Zombie is a shot
to head.
Jared takes the gun, just as the Zombie's stop POUNDING.
Everyone looks up.
The silence is eerie.
A moment later the sound of a CAR floods the Saloon.
TESS:
Oh sh*t. -- Phil.
She slams the bourbon shot and trades the glass for the
bottle.
DAVID:
Dear God.
David runs to a window and peers through a crack. The room
quickly follows suite each finding a crack.
91 EXT. DESPERATION - DAY
The streets are empty.
55.
A black Mercedes stops and out steps the tall lanky oil
tycoon, PHIL.
He straitens his suit.
92 INT. SALOON - DAY
FRANK:
Smart sons of b*tches.
TESS:
They're hiding so he gets out.
David pushes away from his crack and walks to the barricaded
door.
DAVID:
Open the door.
SADIE:
Hey.
JARED:
That's not cool brother man.
FRANK:
Can't let you do that.
DAVID:
Really, and who signs your pay
check.
FRANK:
Can't cash it if I'm dead, Dave.
PHIL (O.S.)
HEY YA ALL! Anybody here!
DAVID:
Open the door.
SADIE:
In case you didn't notice we just
dropped a notch on the food chain.
Ya dig!
93 EXT. DESPERATION - DAY
Phil walks a few steps the squishes into some sh*t.
56.
He looks at his boot.
PHIL:
Oh, would you look at that.
Taking a few more steps a loud growl comes from the alley
near the saloon.
PHIL:
David, Tess, I'm in no mood, I got a
flight to Costa Rica in two hours.
-- You're guys are three days behind
and I'm gonna pull you off this
horse, if you don't have some
spectacular footage.
DAVID (O.S.)
Phil! Get back in your car!
PHIL:
Dave.
DAVID (O.S.)
Here!
PHIL:
Where?
DAVID (O.S.)
In the saloon.
PHIL:
Well it's not a wonder why this film
ain't gett'n done. -- Get your ass
out here.
DARREL (O.S.)
PHIL get in your car!
Behind Phil a small group of three Zombies approaches.
One of them steps in the sh*t and makes a SQUISH. It looks
down as Phil turns around to face them.
PHIL:
Oh really funny. -- Look, you guys
are over budget by fifty thousand
and I have no patience for jokes.
A vein from one of the zombie squirts some blood on Phil's
suit.
57.
PHIL:
Damn it! This suit cost me five
hundred dollars.
Turning around to face the Saloon, Phil stands toe to toe
with one very large Zombie.
PHIL:
Hey partner.
BOOM! It's head explodes sending chunks of brain and goo all
over Phil.
Phil wipes the goo from his eyes to see. Sadie standing at
the open door of the saloon with a smoking shot gun.
SADIE:
Get your ass in here!
The town busts loose with Zombies.
PHIL:
Oh, crap.
Phil kicks it into high gear and runs for the door.
Sadie blasts away but isn't fast enough as a woman zombie
tackles Phil.
She rips out Phil's throat in one swift movement and then a
group of zombies dives onto him chewing away.
DAVID:
Damn it, I need another fifty
thousand to finish the film.
David runs toward Phil and kicks off a few of the Zombies.
DAVID:
Get off him!
SADIE:
Get in here! -- Darrel I need your
help!
94 INT. SALOON - CONTINUOUS
Darrel looks out the door, then from his back pocket pulls
out a Zargon Comic.
DARREL:
Naw you got it.
58.
95 EXT. SALOON - CONTINUOUS
Sadie works the shot gun until it clicks empty and then
switches to pistols.
David kicks another Zombie causing the group to look up from
their feast and growl.
DAVID:
Oh sh*t.
David turns and runs for the door pushing past Sadie.
Another couple of blasts from Sadie as a group of Zombies
charge for the door.
She dives into the saloon.
SADIE:
Close the door!
Frank slams up the ply wood barricade.
96 EXT. HIGHWAY - DAY
Ruddy pedals past the sign that reads Desperation.
RUDDY:
Kiddy day. Heh, great.
97 INT. SALOON - DAY
David wonders around in a daze then heads for the bar
grabbing a bottle of whiskey.
DARREL:
Here.
Darrel pushes a shot glass in front of him.
Shaking his head, David drops back the bottle and downs a
couple large swigs.
The POUNDING on the door is heavy and steady as is the
MOANING.
Sadie strides to Darrel slamming the shot gun on the counter.
SADIE:
Thanks for your help.
59.
DARREL:
What do you care?
SADIE:
So you gonna cry.
DARREL:
No.
He gets up and slams the chocolate milk.
DARREL:
I'm gonna piss.
He strides toward the back room.
A hit on the door almost knocks the barricade down.
JARED:
Boss lady. I think we don't have
much time.
SADIE:
Do you guys have a car?
TESS:
We had a bus that caught on fire two
days ago. -- Clam bake.
DAVID:
Hey, that wasn't my fault.
SADIE:
We'll split up between the Camaro
and Mercedes.
Frank looks out a crack in the window.
98 EXT. DESPERATION - DAY
Both cars are surrounded by zombies.
99 INT. SALOON - DAY
FRANK:
I don't think getting to either of
them is going to be easy.
Sadie grits her teeth.
SADIE:
Then we fight our way out.
60.
Snapping the shot gun closed, she stands at ready.
100 EXT. DESPERATION - DAY
Rolling into town is the biker gang.
Sanchez spots a lingering wounded Zombie crawling on the
ground and runs it over. Everyone follows suit smashing it in
half.
The top half continues to crawl away.
101 INT. SALOON - DAY
The roar of the motor cycles fills the saloon.
MISSY:
What is that?
CHUCK:
Sounds like a Harley.
Everyone runs to a window.
102 EXT. DESPERATION MAIN STREET - DAY
They roll to a stop, giving the motorcycles their last reeve.
Lucy gets off, pushing Sam off the other side with her free
hand.
SAM:
Hey.
He jumps up and looks around at Sanchez and Roughneck who
laugh.
The zombies turn from the saloon door and growl at the group.
SANCHEZ:
We got em.
From the motorcycle's side pouch Sanchez pulls out a large
machete, Roughneck retrieves a baseball bat.
ROUGHNECK:
Batter up!
LUCY:
You.
61.
She points to Sam.
LUCY:
Come with me.
Sam stands and looks at the Camaro, then chases after the
fast walking Lucy.
103 INT. SALOON - DAY
Sadie pulls away from her peep hole, her face white.
Frank looks at her.
FRANK:
That your sister?
SADIE:
No. Great, great Grandmother.
JARED:
Damn she look fine for your
Grandmamie?
104 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DAY
Lucy leads Sam to the vine covered the box.
With the wave of her hand the vines retreat back into the
Earth's depths.
SAM:
Oh, far out.
She opens the box revealing the book.
She moves to pick it up when touching the cover her hand
bursts into flames. She screams in pain when a leather jacket
covers it putting out the fire.
Beside her rubbing out the fire is the Sam.
LUCY:
Damn it! There's a curse on the
book.
SAM:
That's bad right?
He pulls away the cloak. Slowly she raises her hand to see it
has no flesh only white bone.
62.
LUCY:
So much for soft hands.
She flicks her wrist and the bone is covered by a long black
glove.
SAM:
That girl who looks like you.
LUCY:
What of her?
SAM:
She's here.
Lucy grimaces and takes good look at the book.
LUCY:
It's an old curse. -- God's
favorite. I will need a virgin.
SAM:
Yeah, one of them is here also.
105 INT. SALOON - DUSK
Darrel looks in a mirror.
DARREL:
I don't get.
Grinning Darrel checks his teeth then smells his breath.
Slipping the helmet on his head, he takes a good long look.
DARREL:
What about this body is there not to
love.
He flex's his biceps.
DARREL:
It's up to me and you guys.
LUCY (O.S.)
Darrel.
Startled, Darrel drops both arms.
LUCY (O.S.)
Darrel, where are you?
63.
Darrel steps out of the bedroom.
DARREL:
Sadie?
LUCY (O.S.)
Out here.
Through a dirty window, he spots Sadie out side. On her right
hand she wears a long black glove.
DARREL:
How'd you get out there?
LUCY:
I found it.
DARREL:
What?
LUCY:
The book, come on.
Darrel looks down the hall then back at her.
DARREL:
Why should I? You dissed Zargon.
Lucy moves very close to the back window, playing with the
lace that hangs around her shirt neck line.
LUCY:
Come on baby.
She pulls the shirt to the side revealing her bust.
LUCY:
Aren't we a team.
106 EXT. SALOON - CONTINUOUS
Darrel rips a few of the plywood pieces off the back door and
stumbles out side.
LUCY:
Careful baby.
DARREL:
I knew it'd take some time.
He quickly moves in for a kiss and his puckered lips are met
with a hand.
64.
LUCY:
Just a few more minutes.
107 EXT. DESPERATION - CONTINUOUS
Holding his hand, Lucy leads Darrel to the book.
LUCY:
There. There it is.
Darrel looks at it for a moment.
DARREL:
That's it.
He picks it up and dusts it off.
DARREL:
This is the key to hell? Not
impressed.
LUCY:
Open it.
With a snorting laugh, Darrel flips open the book to a page
with dark blood red writing.
108 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DUSK
Standing in the dark is Sam, grinning from ear to ear.
109 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DUSK
Darrel flips to the next page. The writing is very foreign,
Latin like, it ends half way down the page.
DARREL:
Ha. It's not even done. Jeeze it's
like when Dr. Doom...
LUCY:
What's that there?
DARREL:
What?
Darrel turns to see the bone quill.
DARREL:
Where'd that come from?
65.
He steps up to it. It's made of bone infused with gold. It
glistens in the moon light.
DARREL:
It's so beautiful.
LUCY:
Yes. -- Take it.
A pause, then Darrel slowly reaches for the quill.
LUCY:
Yes.
110 INT. SALOON - DUSK
They all stand around the table of weapons.
DAVID:
Why do I have to bring up the rear?
TESS:
Oh shut up.
David curls his lip then walks back over to the bar digging
out another bottle of whiskey.
SADIE:
One more time. -- Darrel and I will
lead the way out the back door.
Darrel you get that!?
Everybody looks around.
SADIE:
Darrel!? -- Where the hell is he?
MISSY:
I just saw him down the hall.
CHUCK:
Yeah, he posing in front of a
mirror.
SADIE:
God. -- Darrel get your ass out
here.
Sadie steps away from the table taking her shot gun and
resting it on her shoulder.
66.
SADIE:
Everyone pick weapons and get ready
to go. -- I'm gonna get Darrel.
She strides off as Tess instantly goes for an Uzi.
CHUCK:
Hey. Why do you get that one?
TESS:
Back off.
Tess throws back the cocking device and looks over the
weapon.
David strides over and grabs a large Smith and Wesson .45 and
shot gun.
Frank grabs dual shoulder holsters with Colt .45s.
Missy picks up a small Daringer.
Jared grabs a rifle and a belt of throwing knives leaving
Chuck with a miniature meat cleaver.
He picks it up and holds it in front of his face.
CHUCK:
You're kidding right.
They all look up from their guns.
FRANK:
Sorry man.
Chuck rolls his eyes.
111 INT. SALOON - DUSK
Sadie casually walks down the hallway when she notices the
open door.
Aiming the shot gun for action, her pace slows to a crawl.
SADIE:
Darrel?
A noise comes from the bedroom.
SADIE:
Hey man. Don't screw with me.
67.
The floor board squeaks.
Cool air breezes through Sadie's hair.
The sound of an owl whispers through the night air.
Sadie takes the last step before the door.
SADIE:
Darrel?
Silence.
In one swift movement she turns around the corner to face
Ruddy.
RUDDY:
Evening beautiful?
BOOM! She blasts him in the stomach throwing him across the
room.
112 EXT. DESPERATION - CONTINUOUS
Sanchez rips the head off a Zombie when the sound of the shot
gun reaches them.
Roughneck points at the saloon.
SANCHEZ:
He..he. Right on homes.
A zombie runs up behind them and Roughneck slaps it in the
face with the bat.
113 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - CONTINUOUS
The quill calls to Darrel, voices whisper around him.
With eyes wide open, Lucy stares at him in anticipation.
Inches away, Darrel stops movement.
He pulls back and looks at Lucy.
DARREL:
We're gonna make out, right?
With a huge sign of impatience, Lucy regains her composer.
LUCY:
Of course.
68.
DARREL:
What's with the glove? It's kind of
gay.
LUCY:
Oh, get on with it.
DARREL:
Jeeze.
In one swift movement he grabs the pen.
DARREL:
You act like it's a big deal.
The pen singes to his hand. Slowly he looks down at the
rising smoke.
DARREL:
Oh, Sh*t!
Lucy changes from the form of Sadie back into herself.
She throws her head back in a horrendous cackle, then snaps
back looking at Darrel.
He's trying to drop the quill but to no avail.
LUCY:
Now we finish my book.
114 INT. SALOON - MOMENTS LATER
A zombie runs through the open back door at Sadie who turns
and unloads a round into it's head.
Frank and Tess quickly make their way down the hallway.
FRANK:
Sadie!
A group of three zombies pour through the open door.
TESS:
Move!
Tess lowers the Uzi and unloads into them blowing their heads
apart.
The uzi clicks empty.
69.
Smoke fills the hallway.
Sadie peers around the corner as Chuck, Jared and Missy come
running up behind Frank and Tess.
JARED:
Damn girl. You one bad mother.
Tess drops the clip and slams in another sliding the hammer
back for action.
TESS:
That was bitchin'.
Darrel's scream comes from outside.
FRANK:
Get the door closed!
Frank and Jared dash for the door swinging it closed only to
have it stopped by Sanchez.
With a big smile he peers into the room.
SANCHEZ:
Looks like a fiesta, eh.
Sadie slips into the bedroom closing the door before she is
noticed.
115 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - CONTINUOUS
Darrel yells out in pain as the quill takes control of his
hand and begins to write in the book.
The quill moves drawing out bloody letters of a Latin based
language.
DARREL:
(to hand)
You stop it!
More pain riddles Darrel into a scream.
Sam walks out from the dark alley.
SAM:
Man I can't believe you're really a
virgin? Must suck to be you.
Face twisted in pain he looks up at Sam.
70.
DARREL:
At least I don't eat nappy old men.
SAM:
Gotta a point.
116 INT. SALOON - MOMENTS LATER
Sadie steps beside Ruddy.
A loud snore comes from him as Sadie nears a boarded window.
She quietly pulls a board from over the broken window and
slips out.
117 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DUSK
Darrel fights with his hand that is no longer in his control.
He slows the writing but the quill still moves.
LUCY:
It's no use. The quill will not
release it's grip until the book is
finished.
DARREL:
I'm not gonna finish your dirty
book!
118 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - CONTINUOUS
Sadie pulls out the old pistols Tristan carried as she walks
down the dark alley.
Darrel yells in pain.
She runs around the corner and sees Darrel on his knees.
One hand holds the book and the other writes uncontrollably.
Sam stands next to Lucy who whispers words under her breath.
Lucy raises her hand and the quill stops.
It rips through Darrel's hand and flies into Lucy's right
hand.
Blood drips onto the book, steam rises with each drop.
Darrel drops it on the ground and scoots away.
71.
It slams closed and sinks into the earth.
The ground shakes and the earth RUMBLES.
Sadie fights for her footing.
119 INT. SALOON - DUSK
Sanchez raises his machete and Chuck raises his meat cleaver.
Sanchez and Roughneck look at him and then the tiny knife.
They burst out in uncontrollable laughter.
The earth quake suddenly hits them.
Frank seizes the opportunity and tackles Roughneck landing
fists to his face in quick succession.
Chuck jumps on Sanchez knocking him down and plants the mini
cleaver into his forehead.
The mining camp is deserted and run down.
At the entrance of the mine shaft a wrought iron gate pushes
up from the ground torches burn on each side of it and above
it is a large hour glass that starts to turn counter clock
wise.
Along with the gate an army of dead skeletons rises from the
dust. At it's lead is CAPTAIN FAUST, one bad ass undead
warrior.
Deep in the mine a red light brightens and smoke pours out
from the depths.
The gates slowly squeak open as the hour glass stops with the
sand side on top. Black sand pours through turning red as it
hits the bottom.
121 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - DUSK
The ground stops shaking.
Lucy looks into the darkness and spots the dark red light in
the distance.
72.
LUCY:
It worked.
Dirty and bloody Darrel hangs his head.
DARREL:
What did I do?
Lucy kneels, runs a dirty finger across Darrel's face and
moves like she's going to kiss him.
LUCY:
You look spent? -- Was it all you
expected.
SADIE:
Leave him alone.
Both gun's are pointed a Lucy.
SAM:
Hey, Sadie.
Sadie turns one gun on Sam and blows a round into his chest.
He flies back a few feet and hits the ground hard.
SAM:
Damn it.
He jumps back up.
SAM:
It still hurts.
SADIE:
Good. Back off.
Sam holds up his hands and takes a few steps back.
The women stare at each other for a moment.
SADIE:
Get away from him.
Lucy waves her hands and both guns fly from Sadie and land in
Lucy's open hands.
LUCY:
Nice guns. Looks like my good looks
prevail.
73.
SADIE:
Thanks. I guess
She turns one of the guns on Darrel and blows a round into
his chest.
SADIE:
NOOO! You b*tch.
The gun turns back on Sadie.
LUCY:
Grandma is tired and time is short
if we're to make sure the gates
opens. -- Where's the pendant?
SADIE:
What're you talking about?
Lucy throws down the guns and stomps over to Sadie.
LUCY:
The Heart of Job. Where is it? I
know Tristan gave it to you.
Sadie shakes her head.
Lucy parts Sadie's shirt and revealing a bare chest.
LUCY:
I don't have time for games.
SADIE:
I've got all the time.
LUCY:
(to Sam)
Find the necklace and bring it to
me.
Lucy grips Sadie's hair.
LUCY:
Let's go.
Dragging Sadie, Lucy heads toward the red light glow that
fades back into the night's dark.
Sam shuffles his feet for a moment, then turns toward the
saloon.
On the ground lies Darrel.
74.
FADE OUT.
122 CHAPTER III - ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE
123 EXT. SALOON - NIGHT
Establishing shot of the Saloon. On the street linger bodies,
but no walking zombies.
124 EXT. DESPERATION ALLEY - NIGHT
A shadow moves over Darrel's body.
A huge splash of water hits him in the face.
He coughs and opens his eyes to see Ruddy standing over him.
DARREL:
AWE MAN. What are you doing here?
RUDDY:
Was sick of waiting for you to wake
up. Half whit.
Darrel rubs his chest. From under his jump suit he pulls out
an official Zargon badge of honor. The bullet is crushed on
it.
DARREL:
Damn it. That was an original. Only
fifty Zargon Badges of Honor were
ever made.
RUDDY:
Awe you gonna get teary on me.
DARREL:
Damn you smell like fresh cow ass.
Darrel stands up, still nursing his chest.
DARREL:
Where'd they go?
RUDDY:
Who?
75.
DARREL:
Sadie and...Sadie, I guess, I don't
know man, my chest is killing me. --
What do you want?
RUDDY:
I ain't trading my bitchin' babe
magnet wheels for your crappy ass
Schwinn. Where's my car?
Eying his open neck wound, Darrel turns a look of disgust.
DARREL:
Man your neck is messed up?
RUDDY:
Don't bug me none. What's your
point?
Shaking his head, Darrel picks up the pistols and then heads
for the saloon.
DARREL:
Don't have one. -- Come on, your
keys are inside.
125 EXT. HILL TOP - CONTINUOUS
Over looking the town, a black horse gives a deep breath.
It's rider smokes as the cherry lites up his aura but doesn't
give away that it's Tristan.
126 INT. SALOON - BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER
In an upstairs bedroom of the saloon Sam has Missy alone. She
sits on a bed, with him looking down at her. Her Skirt is
riped up to her thighs and shirt pulled apart nearly
revealing her breasts.
Fear transcends her face as Sam moves very close to her face.
MISSY:
You gonna eat me.
SAM:
Mmmmmmmm, sounds good.
Sam seductively slips his lips across her ear.
76.
SAM:
I'm looking for something.
Kissing her ear he moves down her neck.
SAM:
Looking for a bright red pendant on
a gold chain.
His lips graze close to her pert breasts.
With a large sigh she moans in pleasure and grabs the back of
Sam's furry head.
MISSY:
That bitchy girl.
SAM:
Yeah.
MISSY:
She had it.
SAM:
Do you know where she put it?
Sam moves around her cheek just inches from her lips.
MISSY:
It was around her neck.
SAM:
Too bad.
They tear into each other with passion.
127 INT. SALOON - MOMENTS LATER
Darrel stumbles through the back door and down the hall. He's
followed by Ruddy.
RUDDY:
I'm so hungry I could eat a pound of
steak.
DARREL:
Start chewing on anybody and I'll
put you down.
He pulls out his .45 from the shoulder holster.
77.
DARREL:
Silver bullets.
RUDDY:
What your nutz? I want a nice New
York Strip, bloody rare. You think
I'm a sick-o?
DARREL:
Yep.
They wander into the main room where Tess, a well beaten
Frank, David and Jared are tied to chairs in a circle.
Chuck hangs on a wall completely outstretched and around him
are the throwing knives.
Sanchez, who still has the tiny meat cleaver stuck in his
forehead sips off a bottle of whiskey, as Roughneck pulls
another throwing knife from the belt and throws it hitting
just left of Chuck's face.
SANCHEZ:
Awe man almost a bull's eye, Sam's
said don't hurt em, eh? We need to
ask em a few question right?
ROUGHNECK:
What ever.
Roughneck slams some more whisky.
SANCHEZ:
Yeah. What's in here?
Out of the gunny sack, Sanchez pulls a giant meat cleaver.
SANCHEZ:
Hey.
He points to the giant meat cleaver then to the tiny one
stuck in his forehead.
They both die of laughter.
Darrel walks by ignoring them all and sits at the bar.
Moving to the other side of the bar, Ruddy retrieves a bottle
of whiskey and two shot glasses.
78.
DARREL:
I failed her.
Everyone stares at Darrel except Sanchez and Roughneck who's
yet to notice him.
Ruddy pours the whiskey.
Sanchez makes like he's going to throw the meat cleaver then
stops and continues to laugh.
RUDDY:
Drink up, wussie.
DARREL:
I don't drink.
RUDDY:
Time to start.
Darrel nods then grabs the shot glass and shoots it back with
Ruddy. They both slam the glasses down on the bar and Ruddy
goes to pour another.
DARREL:
Awe man tastes like horse piss. It's
burning.
He coughs and gags on the drink.
RUDDY:
You gonna be a little sucky tit.
Drink.
The group eyes Darrel with twisted looks of disgust.
David clears his throat, but Darrel ignores him and picks up
another shot.
DARREL:
She's half way to hell, and I opened
the door and push her in.
Ruddy lowers himself real low on the bar and looks right into
Darrel's eyes.
RUDDY:
How long we been cutting meat?
DARREL:
Gaw you have dog breath.
79.
RUDDY:
Shut up. -- Every day I listened to
your brainless talk about comic
books. All you did is flap your yap,
'bout what? I don't even know. I
stopped listening.
Darrel rolls his eyes.
DARREL:
Whatever, I'm done.
He takes off the helmet and pushes it down the bar. It comes
to rest near the edge.
RUDDY:
I knew you was a half wit, but I
never thought you was a quitter.
Sanchez and Roughneck have grown completely out of control
with laughing. Roughneck throws a bottle of whiskey hitting
the wall inches from Chuck.
BOOM!
Sanchez laughs a few more times then spots a hole smoking
through Roughnecks heart.
Sanchez turns to see, Darrel holding a smoking .45.
DARREL:
Hey! Shut up! I've got a headache.
A couple of laughs escape Sanchez before Roughneck falls to
the floor, dead.
SANCHEZ:
Hey. Man what you do that for?
Darrel aims the gun at Sanchez.
128 INT. SALOON - BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER
Sam jumps up from making out with Missy.
SAM:
What was that?
MISSY:
Oh come on. Don't worry about it.
80.
Missy tries to pull him back.
SANCHEZ (O.S.)
Hey guy, I was just playing right?
We all cool.
SAM:
Sh*t.
Sam runs out of the room.
MISSY:
Oh damn it
Missy slaps her hand on the bed.
MISSY:
Why do all the good ones run away?
129 INT. SALOON - MOMENTS LATER
Sam runs down the stairs almost tripping onto the balcony.
The group is free from their ropes and has Sanchez tied up.
Jared and Frank help Chuck off the Wall as Tess works on
tightening Sanchez's ropes.
Darrel quickly points the .45 on Sam.
SAM:
You.
DARREL:
Surprised.
RUDDY:
He's the son o b*tch that bit me.
Ruddy points at Sam.
RUDDY:
I was havn' a fine evening snooze,
when you came in. I owe you a good
whoop'n.
SAM:
Sorry pops.
Ruddy tries to grab the gun, but Darrel pulls it from his
grasp.
81.
RUDDY:
Oh come on! Just one shot t'alls it
takes.
DARREL:
Not yet. -- Where'd she take Sadie!
SAM:
Who?
Darrel c*cks the gun.
SANCHEZ:
Hey Sammy, I'd spill it eh. Check
out the number on Roughneck.
Sam glances at the large dead body of Roughneck.
DARREL:
Where is she?
Lucy strides up to the mines entrance dragging Sadie by her
hair.
Standing at the gate's entrance is Captain Faust directing a
group of solders.
SADIE:
Let go of me you b*tch.
Lucy throws her onto the ground in front of Captain Faust.
The small group and Captain Faust laugh as Sadie scrambles to
her feet.
LUCY:
Captain Faust make sure our guest is
very uncomfortable.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Of course, my armies are at your
service.
He snaps to two solders who grab Sadie and haul her off.
SADIE:
You won't get away with this!
82.
LUCY:
(ignores Sadie)
My father?
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Confined to his quarters. He wont
interfere. -- Once the gate is open
all of hell will storm earth and
turn it into the wasteland it should
be.
Lucy looks at the hour glass. It's sand pouring in
conjunction with the gates opening.
A red glowing shield stands in-between the slightly opened
gate way.
LUCY:
I want no surprises. -- Where is
that stupid boy?
131 EXT. DESPERATION - MAIN STREET - MOMENTS LATER
Sam stands at one end of the street with a holster strapped
to his waist.
Ruddy stands at the other end of the street with a gun
strapped to him.
Most of the group watches from the walk way.
From inside Missy slips out the front door floating on air.
MISSY:
Hey Jared.
He looks at her, then looks again.
JARED:
You off getting high?
MISSY:
Go get em baby!
Sam waves at her.
SAM:
Thanks.
Darrel shakes his head. Chuck moves beside him still nursing
a few wounds.
83.
DAVID:
Hey hold on.
David runs out from inside with the camera on his shoulder.
DARREL:
What now?!
DAVID:
This is bad ass!
He places the camera on a tripod.
DAVID:
All right. Rolling.
DARREL:
Right. -- You both have one silver
bullet, so aim for the heart.
Gentlemen, when ever your ready.
Sam stares at Ruddy who returns with a spit wad.
Hands flex over their guns.
Ruddy's boot twists.
A sweat bead pours from Sam's large side burns.
Eyes go wide as Ruddy watches the sweat.
The camera rolls.
They draw and fire.
Neither fall.
TESS:
Well that sucked.
DAVID:
What...what happened.
They look down at each other and neither of them are hit.
DARREL:
You both missed! Awe come on I don't
have any more of those bullets.
From beside Chuck jumps out Bambie, whose now a zombie.
84.
She dives onto Chuck ripping into his neck.
BOOM.
Blood and bone burst onto Darrel's face.
DARREL:
Not again.
He wipes the goo off his face as Tristan rides into town.
More Zombies run out from the buildings.
Jared screams like a girl in unison with Missy.
TRISTAN:
Get to the cars and follow me!
Frank stumbles out the door with guns blazing at the zombies.
FRANK:
I'll cover you!
Tess moves beside Frank and starts to blast away in short
bursts.
TESS:
I'm not leaving you alone.
Darrel runs to the Camaro followed by Ruddy, Sam, and Missy.
Jared and David run to the Mercedes. David stops first
grabbing the keys from Phil.
Just as he grabs the keys Phil sparks to life as a Zombie.
DAVID:
Whoa, Phil!!
David runs to the Mercedes as Phil gets up.
Screaming like a girl Jared opens the passenger door and
jumps in slamming it behind him.
David jumps in and slams the door behind him.
The beast roars to life, as Phil pounds on the hood.
JARED:
I think he wants his car back, man.
85.
DAVID:
Phil...
David shifts into drive.
DAVID:
...sorry, but I slept with Chrissy
last week.
Phil's eyes go wide and he pounds the hood again.
Flooring the pedal David runs him over.
Darrel jumps into the drivers seat as Missy slides into the
back seat with Sam.
Ruddy climbs in the front passenger seat.
RUDDY:
I should drive.
DARREL:
Shut up, old man.
RUDDY:
It's my car.
DARREL:
I said shut up.
RUDDY:
You need to find respect for your
elders. Kids these days.
MISSY:
Shut up!
The Camaro roars to life.
Tristan rallies the horse onto two feet in front of them and
then turns and whips it into a full sprint out of town.
Spitting dirt, the Camaro follows him, and behind them is the
Mercedes.
Frank and Tess unload a few more rounds when their guns click
empty.
FRANK:
Sh*t.
86.
They drop the guns and Tess takes Franks hands as they stand
back to back.
TESS:
Frank.
FRANK:
Yeah.
TESS:
I want you to know something. I have
sexual fantasies about you.
This strikes Frank as very strange.
FRANK:
Really.
TESS:
Nightly.
Frank stares for a moment.
FRANK:
That's not right.
Zombies are within ten feet of them and moving slow for the
kill.
FRANK:
But given the situation.
Frank spins her to face him.
FRANK:
What the hell.
He gives her a hard kiss on the mouth.
SANCHEZ:
Hey man.
They break the kiss and watch Sanchez stumble out the door
way with the large meat cleaver in one hand.
With the other hand he holds fresh clips for their guns.
SANCHEZ:
Let's party.
87.
132 EXT. MINERS CAMP - CONTINUOUS
Torches burn around the gate. Sadie is tied to a pole near
the gate.
She sweats like crazy.
Lucy stands with Captain Faust.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
There is a city south of this
position. It will be our first
assault when all my forces cross
through the gate.
LUCY:
Good. I want you to send a small
detachment to find Tristan. Bring
him to me -- alive.
133 EXT. DESERT ROAD - CONTINUOUS
Tristan races down a dirt road followed by the Camaro and
Mercedes.
He slows up and pulls next to the Camaro.
Hanging from the rear-view-mirror, next to a pair of fuzzy
dice, is the Heart of Job.
TRISTAN:
Hey!
Darrel looks at him and nods.
Pointing at the rear-view-mirror.
Smiling Darrel nods.
TRISTAN:
LOOK!
Darrel and Sam spot the pendant at the same time.
Sam jumps over the seat and rips it from the mirror.
A fist slams into Sam's face as Darrel knocks him back into
the rear seat.
Darrel climbs out of the drivers seat, Ruddy takes over
driving.
88.
DARREL:
Give that back.
SAM:
Take off virgin boy.
Sam goes to jump out the back of the Camaro when Darrel grabs
his legs and spins him onto his back.
Three times he hits him in the face, then rips the pendant
from his hands.
MISSY:
Leave him alone.
Darrel pulls him close to his face.
DARREL:
This is gonna hurt.
Throwing him off the back of the Camaro, Sam slides to a
stop.
He stands only to find himself in the head lights of the
Mercedes.
SAM:
Oh jeeze!
The heavy car plows through him sending him over the roof.
134 EXT. MERCEDES - CONTINUOUS
David looks at Jared.
JARED:
What was that?
DAVID:
Road Kill!
135 EXT. CAMARO - CONTINUOUS
Tristan rides along with the car.
TRISTAN:
Pull off up here!
Ruddy nods as Darrel plops next to Missy holding the Heart of
Job.
Missy gives Darrel a dirty look.
89.
The Camaro and Mercedes are parked just below a hill. At top
of the hill is the small group.
137 EXT. HILL TOP - CONTINUOUS
Tristan gets off his horse.
They look down onto the mine just a few hundred yards below.
Sadie struggles to free herself from the pole. Skeleton
solders march around and two stand guard beside Sadie.
TRISTAN:
Where's the witch?
DARREL:
Haven't seen her.
DAVID:
This is incredible, just like a
movie.
David raises the film camera and starts to roll tape.
DARREL:
So we swoop in, get Sadie, kill Lucy
and save the day. -- There's not too
many of them.
The camp below has five or six skeletons and Sadie tied to
the pole.
TRISTAN:
That's not all of them.
DARREL:
Okay, what aren't you telling us?
A grimace folds over Tristan's face as David drops the camera
and listens in.
TRISTAN:
Those are the gates guard. The hour
glass counts down the time left
until the gate opens releasing hell
on Earth. Only a person of pure
heart can crossed through it's
threshold carrying the Heart of Job.
This will close the gate.
90.
MISSY:
Don't sound too hard.
DAVID:
Wait a minute. The Heart of Job. --
Job was the only man to survive
every pain and suffering the Devil
could inflict.
DARREL:
So?
RUDDY:
So? Dumb ass, listen.
Ruddy slaps the back of Darrel's head.
DAVID:
Walking through that gate is gonna
be a real heavy trip. Imagine the
worst pain and torment man could
endure and multiply that by a
thousand or a million.
DARREL:
Thanks Dave. Really positive.
TRISTAN:
He's right. You must be willing to
sacrifice your life.
Darrel's eyes go wide.
JARED:
Whoa.
DARREL:
Sacrifice, you said sacrifice.
JARED:
Brother, you best find some p*ssy
right now.
TRISTAN:
I'm sorry, it's the only way.
Darrel stares at the Heart of Job.
Ruddy laughs.
DARREL:
What's so funny?
91.
Wearing a big smile Ruddy approaches Darrel.
DARREL:
What?
138 EXT. MINERS CAMP - CONTINUOUS
Sadie kicks some dirt at one of the Skeletons.
SADIE:
Hey. Bone Head. I'm thirsty.
The Skeleton ignores her.
SADIE:
You know water.
From the small cabin, Lucy walks out having changed into a
dark red gown with a golden crown. She's followed by Capt.
Faust.
SADIE:
Lemme guess, you asked boner to
Sadie Hawkins.
Capt. Faust looks confused.
Lucy looks at the large hour glass over the door.
LUCY:
The cycle is almost complete.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Yes.
On top of the hill, David and Jared wave their arms.
DAVID:
Hey. Hey you down there. I'm looking
for the gate to hell?
JARED:
Yeah man, we have tickets to da'
first show.
LUCY:
Get them down here.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
You two, with me. Move it!
He waves to the skeletons beside Sadie.
92.
All three run off into the dark.
A group of four skeletons ready themselves with swords and
shields.
A gun shot rips one of the Skeleton's heads clean off.
Tristan rides into the camp with Darrel on back. Tristan
blasts another Skeleton then stops the horse.
Jumping off the horse Darrel charges for Sadie.
Lucy smiles watching the action unfold.
SADIE:
Darrel!
DARREL:
Sadie.
He wraps his arms around her and the pole.
DARREL:
I'm here to rescue you.
Sadie watches Lucy start walking toward them, as Darrel
continues to hold her and the pole tight.
SADIE:
Then get on with it!
DARREL:
Oh, right.
Darrel, cuts her loose from the pole.
TRISTAN:
Lucy.
He appears between her and the couple.
LUCY:
Hello, husband.
139 EXT. HILL TOP - CONTINUOUS
The skeletons and Captain Faust top the mountain to find
themselves facing Jared, David, Ruddy and Missy pointing guns
at them.
93.
MISSY:
Jeeze you guys ever take a bath?
JARED:
They're the living undead Missy.
RUDDY:
You guys ever shut up. Must be
related to Darrel or something...
DAVID:
Alright Capt bonehead, lets take a
stroll back down the mountain and
get our friends.
Captain Faust releases a belly deep laugh.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
You're not in any position to order
me.
DAVID:
Really?! And why not?
David c*cks the shot gun.
The clanking of swords and shields turns around David.
Behind them is a large group of skeletons ready for action.
RUDDY:
I knew this was a half wit plan.
David drops the gun and pulls up the film camera.
DAVID:
Do you mind if I get a picture?
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Move it!
140 EXT. MINERS CAMP - CONTINUOUS
Lucy and Tristan stare at each other.
TRISTAN:
There was a time I believed you. --
Believed you could change, bury the
evil that was part of you. Curse or
no curse I loved you.
94.
LUCY:
Then why Rachel?
TRISTAN:
I followed you into the woods and
saw you writing that book. It was
then I knew you could never change.
Once a serpent, always a serpent.
LUCY:
You have no idea what's in my heart.
TRISTAN:
I see darkness.
Sadie looks at Darrel questioningly.
From around his neck he pulls out the pendant.
SADIE:
Hey. You found where I hid it.
DARREL:
Yeah, being a virgin really sucks.
TRISTAN:
It's time, I end your hate.
Darrel holds a hand out longing for Sadie then dramatically
turns for the gate.
After a few steps, he stops and looks back at Sadie, then
turns again.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Stop!
Darrel freezes a few feet from the door.
Surprised Tristan and Sadie turn to see, David, Jared, Ruddy
and Missy walking in a line in front of a group of skeleton
solders.
They come to a halt about ten feet from the gate.
Captain Faust holds a sword to Jared's neck.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Move and I send him into
recruitment.
95.
Darrel laughs.
DARREL:
Go ahead. I don't know even em.
With a swift movement Captain Faust throws Jared past Darrel
and through the door way.
Jared screams like a girl as fire eats his flesh melting it
into a skeleton.
BOOM the skeleton explodes.
Missy eyes bulge as the sword is raised in front of her.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Perhaps you know this one?
DARREL:
He called my bluff. I was calling
his, they never really kill em.
They're always bluffing.
Skeletons move in and grab him and Sadie from the doorway.
Tristan rolls his eyes as Lucy smiles.
LUCY:
I should send you to hell. -- But I
want you to watch every painful
moment as I destroy this Earth.
Skeletons grab him and take away the rifle.
The hour glass is nearly empty.
From the darkness is the roar of motorcycles.
Lucy looks over Tristan's shoulder as two head lights race up
the hill.
The sword is blown from Captain Faust's hand by a bullet.
LUCY:
Who are these jokers!?
A few skeleton's heads burst as Tess shoots over the
shoulders of Frank who is driving the motorcycle.
TESS:
YE HA!
96.
Next to them is Sanchez with a shot gun and the tiny meat
cleaver still stuck in his head.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Kill them.
Frank stops the motorcycle in a cloud of dust.
He dismounts and from shoulder holsters pulls out the Colt
.45's and blasts skeletons.
Tess unloads on them with the uzi.
David hits one of the skeleton's across the face and rips a
sword from it's claw.
With a swoosh, David chops the skeleton's head free.
Then he battles another skeleton in a sword fight.
Missy runs off into the darkness.
Darrel blasts the skeletons around him and Sadie.
TRISTAN:
Darrel, get through that gate.
Tristan slams the two skeletons together that hold him
smashing their skulls.
Lucy turns to see the hour glass is near empty and spots
Darrel running for the gate.
LUCY:
Not gonna happen!
A bolt of lightning jumps from her hands and knocks Darrel
down.
SADIE:
Darrel.
Sadie slides to a stop beside his smoldering body.
DARREL:
Did I save the world?
SADIE:
Oh god.
97.
Frank drops both clips, reloads and continues to fire on the
Skeletons dropping them like targets in a shooting gallery.
With a twisted look Lucy strides near Darrel and Sadie
positioning herself in front of the gate.
Tristan appears in front of her and lands a fist across her
face.
Lucy slowly turns to face him, a trickle of blood drips from
her mouth.
With a snap of her wrist a broken piece of wood flies into
her hand.
She slams it through Tristan's chest.
LUCY:
Consider that a divorce.
SADIE:
NO!
He falls to his knees and looks up at the hour glass. The
last bit is falling trough.
Two skeleton's hold onto David's back as he fights Captain
Faust with swords.
Sanchez chops his way though a group of Skeletons, bones fly
everywhere.
Frank and Tess run out of bullets, holster their guns and
start to hand fight some skeletons.
A skeleton moves toward Sadie with a sword. She pulls a
pistol from Darrel's waist and blasts it.
Tristan looks at Lucy who's staring down at him.
LUCY:
You could never stop me.
Coughing up blood Tristan wavers.
LUCY:
You are weak and I'm over you.
He grabs her legs and picks her up.
98.
TRISTAN:
About time.
LUCY:
Let go!
Lighting bolts rip from her hands and tear into Tristan.
Fighting the pain he stands, lifting her off the ground.
Darrel pushes himself into a sitting position.
In one swift movement Tristan and Lucy fall through the gate
way.
Fire surrounds them melting their skin to bone.
Their skeletons explode just as the last bit of sand falls
through the hour glass.
The red door way turns to a dark blue glow.
A loud HORN sounds from the deep and the rumble of marching.
SADIE:
That can't be good.
DARREL:
Help me up.
They struggle to get Darrel on his feet.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
Get away from the door!
Captain Faust takes a few steps toward them as David
struggles with three skeletons on his back.
RUDDY:
Hey meat head!
Ruddy charges with a sword and sinks it through Captain
Faust's chest.
He turns and punches Ruddy, who quickly recovers and fights
back.
Darrel grabs Sadie's hands.
99.
DARREL:
I've been waiting for this all my
life. But now all I want is to run
away with you.
He stares into her eyes, gripping her hands.
SADIE:
Oh, that's sweet.
The marching grows louder and another ram's HORN sounds from
the deep.
SADIE:
Well. You gonna save the world or
stand here all emotional?
DARREL:
Yeah, I guess it's up to me.
Sadie nods.
Darrel turns from her and looks at the door way.
Holding the Heart of Job tight in his hands he steps through.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
STOP!
At first, all is calm, Darrel turns and looks out at Sadie.
He smiles.
Starting at his feet a fire develops.
Eyes wide, Darrel yells in pain.
All the skeletons stop fighting and turn to sand.
Sanchez slices through one as it dissolves to dust.
He looks at a very surprised Frank and Tess.
A skeleton explodes into sand on David's back covering him.
Captain Faust spins around looking at the skeletons melting
to sand then turns to face the door.
CAPTAIN FAUST:
NOOOOOOOO!
100.
His body explodes into sand.
Covered in flames, Darrel raises his arms into the crucifix
position.
The gates to hell slam closed and explode out throwing
everyone down.
Red sand from the hour glass covers them.
Sadie hits her head on a rock knocking her out.
141 EXT. MINERS CAMP - CONTINUOUS
DAVID:
Hey, baby. Wake up.
David slaps Sadie softly on the cheeks.
FRANK:
She alive.
Frank, Tess and Sanchez walk up to David and Ruddy.
RUDDY:
You a dumb ass? She's breathing,
ain't she.
Sadie opens her eyes and sits up rubbing her head.
SADIE:
Darrel?
Everybody parts to show her the mess of steel, rock and red
sand where the gate way used to be.
TESS:
Don't think the poor boy made it.
SANCHEZ:
Yeah man, it's smells like day two
of Woodstock.
DAVID:
The plan should of worked.
FRANK:
What plan?
Slowly, Ruddy turns from the group and takes a few steps
toward the pile of rubble.
101.
RUDDY:
(to himself)
Come on boy. You can do it.
A piece of steel and rock moves from under the pile along
with a moan.
Eyes wide, Sadie jumps from the ground and is followed by the
group to the movement.
SADIE:
Darrel?!
A piece of rock tumbles away from the pile uncovering
Darrel's hand.
SADIE:
Come on help him.
They move the rock and metal uncovering Darrel.
Sanchez and Frank help him stand up.
SADIE:
(surprised)
DARREL?
Long side burns and matted fur replaced Darrel's crew cut
along with a set of Werewolf fangs.
Under his sleeve he reveals a bite mark.
DARREL:
Look's like you're not so crazy, old
man.
RUDDY:
You're still a half wit, but good to
see you made it.
JARED (O.S.)
Hey brothers.
They all turn to see a Skeleton with dreadlocks standing
behind them.
JARED:
Damn that was rough gig in hell.
He pulls a drag on a joint.
102.
JARED:
You would not believe the kind bud
they have down there. -- Anybody
want a hit.
Sadie rolls her eyes and walks off, Darrel looks at Sanchez.
DARREL:
Hey...
He pulls the tiny meat cleaver from Sanchez's forehead.
DARREL:
That's mine.
Wiping the blade on his pants, he turns and runs after Sadie.
142 EXT. HILL - NIGHT
Sadie and Darrel lead the group up the hill and is near the
top.
DARREL:
Now that I'm a werewolf. I don't
think things will work between us.
SADIE:
Oh.
They reach the hills crest and stop turning to face each
other.
SADIE:
You dumping me?
DARREL:
Now look, I'm gonna be seen as the
bad guy. Normal people who live
every day lives reading comic
books..
Frank and Tess reach the hill top when from the sky a large
flying saucer parts through the clouds and drops into a
valley below.
DARREL:
...they'll not understand a werewolf
human couple. They'll put us on talk
shows, point and laugh...
103.
FRANK:
Guys.
The rest of the group reaches the top and all of them stop in
their tracks.
A door way opens in the UFO's side.
DARREL:
...Think about our kids. Are they
werewolf or human or a mix. -- All
the other kids will make fun of
them. -- I know how that goes. What
if they get hungry at school...
JARED:
Would you look at that sh*t?
SANCHEZ:
That's some sh*t all right.
He grabs the joint from Jared and takes in a deep drag.
DARREL:
...It's better if we part ways and
just be werewolf and human friends.
SADIE:
Who said anything about being a
human.
Sadie smiles revealing large vampire teeth.
SADIE:
Tristan wanted to make sure I made
it.
Pulling down her collar she reveals two small bite marks.
Darrel wraps his arms around her waist.
DARREL:
I guess a vampire werewolf love
story ain't so bad, is it?
Ruddy looks at them and rolls his eyes.
SADIE:
Naw.
They're near kissing when Sadie stops his puckered lips with
her hand.
104.
SADIE:
Do you hear something?
DARREL:
(shaking head)
No.
RUDDY:
Hey you two half wits. Quit playing
grab ass and look!
They both turn to see the UFO spilling out Zombies.
Quick shots of guns being loaded and knives spinning.
A tripod is set up and on top is placed the 16 mm camera.
David runs from the camera back into the group.
DAVID:
Rolling!
Everybody is decked out and ready for battle.
Darrel looks up and down the group, taking an extra few
moments to stare into Sadie's eyes.
Nodding at Darrel, Sanchez smiles.
SANCHEZ:
You ready to party.
DARREL:
I've been waiting for this all my
life. -- Let's get em!
They run down the hill, guns blazing.
FADE OUT.
143 ROLLING CREDITS
144 EXT. ROAD - MORNING
Sam sits on the road side, tossing little rocks. His clothes
are dirty and torn.
In front of him steps Missy's boots.
MISSY:
Hey, wolf man.
105.
Sam looks up.
MISSY:
You ever done any erotic films?
Slowly he puts on sunglasses and grins.
