And they got it all

While others have to try all their lives

Still they never get the call

That's the difference

between you and me

Obviously

I'm a natural, I'm the real deal

I can't help the way I am

Hope you don't misunderstand

But I'm too cool

Too cool

Yeah, I'm too cool to know you

Don't take it personal

Don't get emotional

You know it's the truth

I'm too cool for you

Did you enjoy singing backup?

Can't a guy get some peace?

Sorry.

- Sorry.

- You said that already.

I'm sorry. I...

Was that you playing?

It sounded kind of different.

Than my usual stupid cookie-cutter

pop star stuff?

- Sorry to disappoint.

- You didn't.

I liked it.

I mean, it was good

for stupid cookie-cutter pop star stuff.

Wow, you really know

how to make a guy feel better.

I thought you loved your sound.

You created it.

- You're like a Camp Rock legend.

- Some legend.

I only played the music

that the label thinks will sell. That's it.

You don't think that song would sell?

I don't know.

Well, you'll never know if you don't try.

And, by the way, I know of one girl

that would buy that song.

Oh, I'm so sorry!

Actually, I'm so not.

I would respond, but...

But you are responding

by saying that you're not responding.

Shut up.

Okay, that was on purpose.

Doesn't matter.

Anything makes that outfit look better.

See?

Okay.

- Nice, Caitlyn.

- Good shot.

Stop. Hey, no, you guys, stop!

- Stop.

- My spaghetti slipped.

I can't believe you did that!

Neither can I.

SANDER:
Busted.

I hate when I have to be uncool.

Lay it on me.

- She's always been jealous of me...

- She's impossible.

...and she cannot stand the fact

that I'm probably to win Final Jam,

- so she spilled...

- Whoa!

Enough. Make it plain.

Who was the first one to throw food?

That's easy. Caitlyn.

- That's technically true, but...

- No buts.

Since you wanna play with food,

I can hook you up

with a job this summer.

From here on out,

you're on kitchen duty.

What? I mean...

Ew.

- But...

- Again with the buts.

Look, it's settled.

Happy cooking.

Thanks a lot.

- Oh!

- You hungry?

Just a little bit.

Do you have a second?

Um...

- Sure.

- I wanna run something by you.

- Sure.

- I wanna run something by you.

Every time I think

I'm closer to the heart

Of what it means to know

Just who I am

I think I finally found

A better place to start

But no one ever seems to understand

I need to try to get to where you are

Could it be you're not that far?

You're the voice I hear inside my head

The reason that I'm singing

I need to find you

I got to find you

You're the missing piece

I need the song inside of me

I need to find you

I got to find you

I've been feeling lost

Can't find the words to say

Spending all my time

Stuck in yesterday

Where you are is where I wanna be

Oh, next to you, and you next to me

Oh, I need to find you

You're the voice I hear inside my head

The reason that I'm singing

I need to find you

I got to find you

You're the missing piece

I need the song inside of me

I need to find you

I got to find you

Wow.

I heard this girl singing,

and it kind of reminded me

of the music that I liked.

So I started playing around

with some chords, and...

- I know it's not finished, but...

- No. No, it's good.

It's really good. And I don't lie.

Why are you looking at me like that?

I don't know.

You seem different.

Good different.

Yeah. Definitely different.

So, I better get going.

Back to the kitchen?

- What?

- To get some dip for these chips?

Oh!

Yeah. Yeah. Right.

Hey, Mom, how you doing?

I'm all right. How are you?

I am great.

I'm wonderful, I'm fantastic, I'm...

- Putting chips into bowls...

- Right.

Hey, Mrs. Torres.

Hi, Caitlyn. Thanks for coming in early.

Taco Night takes

the entire kitchen staff

and our six hands.

Six?

Yeah. My daughter.

So can you please start in

on the onions?

Brown wants to talk to me

about next week's campfire pig-out.

Sure.

Hey! You must be hands five and six.

I didn't know Connie had a daughter.

I'm Caitlyn.

Do you need some help?

Mitchie?

Wait a minute.

You're the cook's daughter.

She's your mom.

Oh, this is rich.

But apparently you're not.

So what are you waiting for, huh?

Run. Go tell everybody.

- Maybe I should.

- Fine. Whatever.

How long did you think

you could keep your little secret?

Longer than this.

Why?

- Why do you care?

- Oh, I don't.

But when I tell everybody,

I want the whole back-story.

I just wanted to fit in, okay?

I think your whole charade is stupid

and immature.

You're hiding behind some crazy lie.

What about you, huh? You hide, too!

The whole

"I don't care about anything" attitude?

Well, if you don't care,

why are you here?

What happened to you?

She got drowned in her lies.

What, Caitlyn?

Nothing.

- Caitlyn, wait!

- No, no, no, no. You can talk later.

First you got to get out

of these wet clothes. Come on.

Says here in this magazine

I'm Shane's type.

It's just a matter of time.

"Warm, funny, talented. "

You? I don't get it.

- Hey, guys, what are you doing?

- The question is, what were you doing?

- You're always AWOL.

- What?

Hey, Mitchie, I was thinking.

After camp, maybe we could come

to visit you and your mom in China

and go to that Happy Summer store.

Sure. My mom would like that.

Okay, guys.

Tonight is the Pajama Jam.

So, outfit check.

White shorts and green hoodies.

What? Green is Shane's favorite color.

It was in the magazine.

- All right!

- The other lemmings are over there.

- Look, Caitlyn, about what...

- Save it, Mitchie.

If that's even your real name.

- Hey.

- Hi.

Are we ready?

Where are your T-shirt and shorts?

Yeah, I thought that we were supposed

to wear the same thing?

The backup singers should wear

the same thing.

Not the lead singer, hello!

Next, give it up for the awesome

Caitlyn Geller!

And this is in honor

of you awesome Camp Rockers.

She's really good.

Hey. Shane likes her, too.

Help! Help, there's a snake! Snake!

It's just the power cord

to the sound system, Tess.

Oh. Right. My bad.

- You are so full of it!

- What?

You can't stand

that people might actually like

what other people do.

Okay. What is that?

She said, "Whatever, major loser. "

Oh, wow, Tess.

"Whatever, major loser?"

That is so last year.

I mean, everyone knows that.

Oh, well, I guess not everyone.

Hey! Does this look like a record, girls?

Huh?

I mean, a CD.

Does this cookie look like a CD?

'Cause I want it to look authentic

next to my eighth note cupcakes.

Everything looks great, Connie.

These theme nights are so busy, huh?

Oh, I gotta go get the ice cream

for my Rolling Stone cones!

See you later.

So, did you sign up for Final Jam?

Yeah.

So, what are you thinking about doing?

This is freaking me out.

Why are we talking?

I don't know. Maybe I'm slumming?

Or maybe I wanted to set

you up for that!

My gosh.

So, thank you for yesterday, but...

Hey. I always stick up for my friends.
