Tuffy:
M, you’re the baby out of all of us. They’re never gonna see you do so many great things, get married to Jay. Raise a family. Nana: Well, she’s never gonna see the kids do anything great with their lives. Sky and Ray-Ray are calling you “Mommy”. Kelly was supposed to be my date to the daft. We all talked about what we were gonna wear and everything. I’ve been friends with them forever. I just wanted to be like them.Max:
I know. We’re both missing our mothers.Lizzy:
How do you- I don't know. Be happy? Like, get up in the morning and be happy with your life?Max:
I just think about the kids. I mean, even though your mother wasn’t there for you. Don’t mean you have to make the same mistake she did with your kids. And what do you mean “Marry Diego?” His stupid little friend said he was gonna talk me to bed.Tuffy:
No, You misheard……*Explains*---------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone goes home.
Max goes to her room. She finds a note and a ring.
Max:
*Reads* “Maxine, you’re the light of my life. I’ve loved you since the first time we met. And I’m sorry for not taking you to prom. Hopefully, this will make up for it.She reads the last part. As she reads, tears roll down her eyes.
Max:
*Reads* “Will you marry me? Love Jay”She puts the ring on and wipes her tears. She goes downstairs and sees her parents and brothers.
David:
Hey Max, you wanna sit with us?Max:
Yea. *Sighs*D.J:

You know? Before Nana got sick. I told her I was gonna do everything I could to make everything better. Give the kids the life they deserve, the life I wanted. Sometimes, I think I didn't do enough. Give them their happily ever after.Mocha:
Are you sure you’re my daughter? *Laughs* You know, I’ve met so many people, saying I changed their lives around. Because of my movies and shows, and because of our podcast on Youtube. That keeps me going, the comments I read, the posts I see. The people I meet. Hell, I even got drunk in a pub in Denmark with the Count of Rosenberg. He was a huge fan. That was when I was on that Sly and the Family Stone tour. *Laughs*Max:
Yea. *Laughs*Sidney sits next to Max.
Sidney:
You know, we’re living happily ever after. And because of you, and with you. Nana, Mona. Hell, even Lizzy got to live theirs too.Monique:

*Sips her coffee* Mom, why does this taste like wine?Mocha:
Damn, Vera!Max:
*Laughs*She looks at the table and sees her desserts.
Mo’nique:
You know? We didn’t try your desserts yet, baby girl.Max:
Maybe it’s for the best.Mo’nique:
Baby, how bad could it be?Max:
Ma, i made it.Mo’nique:
Well, I’m gonna see. *Cuts it and gives everyone a slice* You put this together, Max.Max:
Yea. *Looks on the floor* What the-She lifts the floor broad and sees a little box. She opens it. It shows her old photos and tapes of her growing up.
Max:

Max:

Max:
*Thinks* Well, I guess I was right and wrong. Some families are crazy. Some are normal and some are just--great! Like mine. Sure, they do bad other things, but we’re amazing in our ways.Max falls asleep on her mother’s arm.
Max:
*Thinks* Oh. and I got the sleep I needed forever.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Max:
