Opens with wide shot in garden, character is lighting a lighter, the light can be seen on their face. Ambient outdoor sounds are quite wide to reflect the distance. Close up shot of character lighting lighter, the flame glows on their face as they light a roll-up. They take a long drag from it and look blankly in the air as they breathe out. The shot lingers for a bit before they drop the roll-up on the floor and stamp it out before going inside. Leaning against something, they look reflective, they receive a message on their phone, reach into their pocket and open it. Messages say

"it's going to be okay"

"you really won't have to go through this alone"

"we miss you and love you, call soon?"

"we miss him too, we understand.. please just let us in."

"love you"

"he wouldn't want this"

"if you keep pushing us away like this there's only one way we're going to go."

"what about his birthday meal?"

"yes? no?"

"okay. we just went celebrate his birthday then. nice."

switches to close up of their eyes, they type

"Jesus Christ do you ever shut up. shutup. shut up leavemealo"

but they delete it.

they contemplate for a bit but then make their way into the living room, its a mess. bottles and cans, clothes, things tipped over. Out of focus on camera is a cupcake with green frosting, in focus is the character, who sits down infront of it. The focus switches to the cupcake.

[12:

The shot that follows is the character, from the shoulders up with a roll-up in their mouth. They take it out and stick it in the cupcake frosting, then light it. The character looks over at something, the camera pans to a green hoodie, folded neatly on the table. They smile a little, then look back to the cake, and blow out the "candle". The screen goes dark. The title"conversations." appears in the dark and the music begins.
