REALLY SORRY. WHAT'S HE SORRY ABOUT? MOM... NO, I MEAN IT. I WANT TO KNOW. WHAT HAS HE,

WHAT HAVE THEY, WHAT HAS ANYONE

BEEN REALLY DOING? KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN. PLEASE? WHY SHOULD I? YOU SAY,

"DON'T TALK TO THE PRESS." OKAY, WE DON'T TALK

TO THE PRESS... AND STILL NOTHING. I'M TIRED OF NOT TALKING. I'M TIRED OF "NOTHING." OF YOU NOT DOING WHA YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO. YOU ARE WAY OFF. I WANTED YOU TO LEAD

A NORMAL LIFE, BUT YOU WOULDN'T LISTEN, SO NOW YOU'RE ACTUALLY A COP, AND YOU CAN'T EVEN

DO THAT RIGHT. DONNA. NO. I'M SICK OF IT. WHAT HAVE I GOT LEFT? MY GRANDDAUGHTER IS GONE... AND MY DAUGHTER IS DEAD. YOUR DAUGHTER IS RIGHT HERE. [] [] [FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING] WHAT IS THIS? DON'T COME INTO MY HOUSE,

MAKING ACCUSATIONS. THIS IS A WHOLE LOT MORE

THAN AN ACCUSATION. I'VE DONE NOTHING

BUT COOPERATE WITH YOU. OH, YEAH, YOU'VE DONE A WHOLE

HELL OF A LOT OF SOMETHING. WHO IS THAT? IT WAS NOTHING. IT WAS STUPID. AND IT WAS ONE NIGHT. I WAS LONELY

AND DRUNK... AND I SCREWED UP,

AND I KNEW IT. AND THEN SHE STARTED CALLING. TOLD ME

SHE WAS PREGNANT. WHAT'S HER NAME? WHAT DIFFERENCE

DOES IT MAKE? WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? EVERY TIME

THIS CRIME IS COMMITTED, IT'S COMMITTED BY A WOMAN. YOU HAD AN AFFAIR

WITH THIS WOMAN. SHE HAD EVERY REASON

TO BE JEALOUS OF ELLE. SHE HAD NOTHING BUT MOTIVE. YOU DIDN' SAY ANYTHING. WHAT, YOU THINK ROSA

HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS? ROSA'S HARMLESS. SHE... SHE HAD A BABY OF HER OWN. WHY WOULD SHE TAKE OURS? IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. I HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT, BECAUSE IF YOU'RE NOT, THEN IF YOU HADN'T DONE THIS, MY SISTER WOULD STILL BE ALIVE, WE WOULDN'T HAVE

JUST COME FROM HER FUNERAL, AND I WOULDN'T BE OUT THERE

LOOKING FOR HER BABY. FOR YOUR BABY. I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT. MACKLIN HERE. I NEED YOU TO RECHECK

ALL THE PHONE RECORDS FOR ROSA... WHAT IS HER LAST NAME? [ANGRILY]:

WHAT IS HER LAST NAME? I DON'T KNOW. RECHECK THE RECORDS FOR ANYTHING ROSA

OR "R" INITIALED, PLEASE, AND GET AN ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY. ALSO, PUT A TRACE

ON ANY OF THE CALLS THAT CAME IN TO SCOTT'S LINE, IMMEDIATELY. WHAT'S GOING ON? DON'T. CARRIE? DON'T. WHY DON'T YOU ASK SCOTT. THOUGH HE PROBABLY WON' TELL YOU. WE FINALLY FOUND

OUR PRIME SUSPECT. I LOVED YOUR DAUGHTER. I LOVE YOUR DAUGHTER. IT WAS ONE NIGHT. I CAN'T STAY HERE. [CARRIE WALKS AWAY] [KEYBOARD TAPPING] I GOT YOUR CALL.

WHAT'S UP? [KEYS CLACKING] HEY. WAIT, IS THAT HIS LAPTOP? SCOTT DELETED

A LOT OF HIS FILES, BUT I'M RUNNING

A RECOVERY PROGRAM. I DON'T HAVE

ANYTHING YET, BUT I'M LOOKING BACK

A COUPLE OF MONTHS. YOU SHOULDN'T BE TOUCHING THAT. THE D.A. WILL

GO BALLISTIC. I'M NOT. I'M NOT TOUCHING IT. YOU ARE. IS THAT RIGHT? THAT'S RIGHT. RIGHT? [EXHALES] OKAY. WHAT IS HE HIDING? A WOMAN.

A PREGNANT WOMAN. SCOTT, OF COURSE, CAN'T REMEMBER

HER LAST NAME, SO THAT'S WHA I'M LOOKING FOR. PREGNANT?

HOW DOES THAT FIT THE PROFILE? IT DOESN'T,

IF IT'S TRUE. THESE FILES HAVE BEEN

PARTIALLY OVERWRITTEN, SO THEY'RE REALLY HARD

TO DECIPHER. A LOT OF IT'S JUST BUSINESS,

AND... THERE'S SOMETHING. SHE WANTS TO KNOW WHY SCOTT HAS BEEN

IGNORING HER, FROM AN R. ALLEN. ALLEN-- THERE'S TWO EMAILS

FROM THAT. WILL YOU GO CHECK

ROSA ALLEN? YEAH. GOT ANYTHING? GOT 268 MATCHES IN THE U.S. WHAT ABOUT LOCAL? SIX IN STATE. ONE RIGHT HERE

IN TOWN. [DOOR OPENS] LET'S GO PAY HER A VISIT. WHERE ARE YOU GOING? GOT A LAST NAME, ALLEN,

AND WE'VE GOT AN ADDRESS. I CAN'T HAVE YOU TACKLING DOWN

ANOTHER SUSPECT. WE'VE GOT TO MOVE ON THIS

RIGHT NOW. LET ME HAVE YOUR GUN. THANK YOU. DON'T LET HER ENTER

ANY OF THE PREMISES, ALL RIGHT? [BRAKES SCREECH] [CELL PHONE RINGING] HEY. YEAH, I NEED THAT WARRANT,

LIKE, AN HOUR AGO. [MAN]: OKAY. ALL RIGHT. OKAY, WE'RE WAITING. WE'RE GOOD? LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE

ON THEIR WAY. I NEED YOU TO TELL ME

WHAT YOU TOLD CARRIE. DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING OUT. [WYNN]: POLICE!

WE'VE GOT A WARRANT! POLICE! OPEN IT. [COUGHS] THERE'S NO ONE IN HERE. I NEED AN EVIDENCE BAG. WE NEED TO GET THIS IN

RIGHT AWAY. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. SEE THAT BOOK? DOES IT HAVE AN INSCRIPTION? "LOVES AND LIKES YA. CARRIE." YEAH. THAT TRAILER'S EMPTY. WE GOT COPS CALLING

EVERY ALLEN IN THE BOOK. DO YOU KNOW WHERE

SHE MIGHT BE STAYING OR HEADING? WHERE SHE WORKED? UM... I DON'T KNOW MUCH... AT ALL. UH... SHE DRANK... UM... GIN AND TONICS. THE RED WINE STAINED HER TEETH. SHE HAD REALLY,

REALLY WHITE TEETH, LIKE... LIKE SHE PUT A LOT OF EFFOR INTO THEM. I THINK SHE WORKED AS A... AS A HYGIENIST... I THINK... AT A DENTAL OFFICE. [KNOCKS LIGHTLY] EXCUSE ME. MR. CONWELL SAID

HE THINKS ALLEN WAS A DENTAL HYGIENIST. HE THINKS? DOES HE KNOW WHERE? NO.

OF COURSE NOT. I'LL FIND OUT. SO, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT? THE NEIGHBOR TOLD US THAT ROSE MOVED

A BUNCH OF HER STUFF OUT LAST TUESDAY. THREE DAYS LATER,

ON FRIDAY, MY SISTER WAS KILLED. AND LATER THAT SAME NIGHT, THE NEIGHBOR SAID

SHE HEARD SOMEBODY COME BACK INTO ROSA'S PLACE, AND SHE THINKS SHE HEARD

A BABY CRYING. NEXT MORNING,

ROSA'S TOTALLY GONE. SO SHE WAS PLANNING I ALL ALONG AND MOVED OU TO COVER HER TRACKS? EXACTLY, BUT I DON'T THINK

SHE'S LIVING ALONE, AND I THINK THAT'S WHY

SHE WENT BACK TO HER OLD PLACE AFTER SHE PICKED UP THE BABY. BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T WAN WHOEVER SHE'S WITH TO KNOW WHAT SHE DID. SO WHERE DID SHE GO? I DON'T KNOW. SOMEWHERE SAFE... WITH SOMEONE SHE TRUSTS. I GOT IT. LET'S GO. WHOA... I THINK MAYBE I SHOULD

FOLLOW UP ON THIS MYSELF. I KNOW SHE USED TO WORK

OUT OF STATE AS A NURSE BEFORE SHE CAME BACK TO TOWN. SO SHE WAS FROM HERE? I THINK SO, YEAH. DID SHE MENTION ANY RELATIVES? A FATHER, MAYBE? DO YOU REMEMBER

A NAME OR ADDRESS? SORRY. SHE WAS ONE

OF THOSE PEOPLE YOU JUST KNEW WOULD MAKE

A GOOD MOM. IS SHE ALL RIGHT? HI, YEAH, CAN YOU CHECK

ON A BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PLEASE, FOR ROSA ALLEN? I'M ACTUALLY LOOKING

FOR THE PARENTS' NAMES, THOUGH. CAN YOU SEE IF EITHER OF THEM

STILL LIVE IN TOWN, AND GET ME AN ADDRESS,

PHONE NUMBER, SOMETHING? [CELL PHONE RINGING] HELLO? YES. OKAY, GREAT. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

GOT IT. WHAT'S THAT NUMBER? [ROSA'S FATHER]: HELLO? HELLO. MR. ALLEN? SPEAKING. THIS IS DETECTIVE

CARRIE MACKLIN. YES. I WAS JUST WONDERING

IF YOU MIGHT KNOW WHERE ROSA ALLEN

IS TODAY. ROSA? WELL, YEAH, SHE'S MY DAUGHTER. YEAH, WELL,

OF COURSE I KNOW WHERE SHE IS. SHE LIVES HERE WITH ME, HER AND HER

DAUGHTER BOTH. DID SHE JUST RECENTLY

GIVE BIRTH? WHAT'S THIS ABOUT? WELL, IT'S AN ONGOING

POLICE INVESTIGATION. AN INVESTIGATION? INTO WHAT? WELL, I'M NOT QUITE

AT LIBERTY TO SAY. WELL, IF YOU CAN'T TELL ME,

HOW AM I GOING TO HELP YOU-- WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? WHY ARE THE COPS

LOOKING FOR YOU? THEY'RE NOT. WELL, THEY WERE

ASKING ABOUT YOU. YOU ARE LYING! WHAT'S THE MATTER, BABY DOLL? YOU ARE THE MATTER! I COME HERE AND DO ALL THESE THINGS

FOR YOU, AND THIS IS WHA YOU GIVE ME BACK? CALM DOWN. [FOOTSTEPS RECEDING] HELLO? [DIAL TONE] HELLO-- [DIALING] YOU LOST HIM?

YEAH. I'LL TRY ONCE MORE. [RINGING] CRAP. ALL RIGHT, LET'S GO. LET'S JUST GO. [ENGINE TURNS OVER] [SIREN WAILING] [SIRENS WAILING] [BRAKES SCREECH] YOU GO AROUND BACK. YOU COME WITH ME. YES, SIR. I THINK IT'S BES YOU STAY HERE, ALL RIGHT? [KNOCK ON DOOR] POLICE!
