Ben, Anne?

Mom!

Mom!

I'm on my way there,

stay where you are!

Mom, it's Anne!

[BRIANNA] Just stay there!

(SLAMMING)

(SCREAMING)

Mom, don't fall!

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

Mom, Mom, no!

Ben, just hold on.

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

Mom, no, don't fall!

Ben, please, just, be quiet.

I need to focus.

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

(YELLING)

Mom, Mom, are you okay?

Yeah.

Where's your sister?

She's, she's, gone.

What do you mean?

Where is she?

Ben...

Ben!

I don't know!

When the elevators went

down, she was on the roof.

It took her down there.

You think she's okay?

(HEAVY BREATHING)

She's gonna be fine.

Don't worry.

(COUGHING)

Ahh!

Ahh!

Hello?

Is anyone in here?

(COUGHING)

Hello!

Could someone please help me?

Please!

Can anyone hear me?

Captain...

Our first team will be

getting to the point of origin

in just a couple of minutes.

Alright, lieutenant,

how's evacuation going?

We have just

about everyone out.

Make sure.

Jeanne, how are we

doin' on the ground.

Everyone is back 100 meters,

but we haven't been

able to shut off

the gas leak in the garage.

It's just a matter of time

before somethin' sets it off.

Better make sure there's

no one left behind

- on the ground, you got that?

- Got it.

Good, let's keep it that way.

Are you sure everyone got

off the from the 60th floor?

Lando & Associates?

[JEANNE] There's

nobody inside.

(PENSIVE MUSIC)

(COUGHING)

Oh, no.

Ben...

Ben, we can't stay here forever.

Can you make it over here?

No way, Mom.

(GASPING)

Oh god.

Alright, just run through

it, just run through it.

(COUGHING)

(GASPING)

(SIZZLING)

(SHRIEKING)

(COUGHING)

Awe, bad move.

(SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Oscar 9-9-5, we're

approaching UBX Tower.

Fire causing stability issues

with the landing platform.

Advice for immediate departure.

Okay, he's here.

I'm almost done.

What's gonna keep them from

finding the inspector's body

in the bottom of the rubble.

We'll just see,

be long gone by now.

Besides, if we're lucky,

they'll miss the

connection altogether.

- We were so close.

- Yeah, let's get out of here.

Come on.

(HELICOPTER BLADES BEATING)

Oh, no, oh, no.

(COUGHING)

(HELICOPTER BLADES BEATING)

(COUGHING)

(SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Come on, come on,

come on, let's go!

(SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Roger, control, 5-9-7,

Antwerp International.

- I need clearance for transit.

- Come on, go!

(DRAMATIC INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

(BLASTING)

(BEEPING)

(CRASHING)

(YELLING)

We are going down!

I repeat, we are going down!

Take cover!

(SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

(SCREAMING)

(CRASHING)

No!

(SLOW INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

[NICK] I need oxygen!

[JEANNE] Where was he?

Easy there, sir, we got you.

We're gonna catch our

breath for a second,

then we'll get you out of here.

(GASPING)

[NICK] Whoa, whoa, calm down.

No, no, no, no!

No, no!

My wife and kids.

[NICK] What's that?

My wife and kids!

They're in the elevators.

[JEANNE] In the shaft?

Yeah, come on, help me.

We have to find them.

[JEANNE] Which shaft?

[TOM] I'll show you.

[NICK] No, you're

getting evacuated!

No, you don't

know where they are.

[NICK] You don't

have any gear!

You need to get out of here!

It's my family.

[NICK] Sir, you can help them

by letting us do our job.

No, you can't stop me.

[JEANNE] We don't

have time for this.

[NICK] The fire

is in the walls.

It is unpredictable

and dangerous!

We won't be able to protect you.

Are you sure?

I'm sure, yes!

Okay, there's no time!

They're around the 20th

floor, in the south shaft.

[NICK] We'll take the stairs.

Okay.

(PENSIVE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

[NICK] Go, go!

(SLAMMING)

[JEANNE] That

was really brave.

[NICK] And it was stupid.

20th floor, you said?

Two more floors to go!

Let's go, let's go!

[JEANNE] It is warm.

[NICK] That's the

point of origin.

It should've burnt out by now.

(SLOW INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

(COUGHING)

[JEANNE] Which shaft

did you say it was, south?

[TOM] Yes.

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

[NICK] Look out!

(CRASHING)

(SCREAMING)

Ben, look at me.

Look at me!

Ben, you need to do this.

I can't, Mom, I

just can't do it!

Oh god.

Ben, hey...

You remember our

seaside vacations?

Remember the villa at

the edge of the cliff?

We'd have picnics

everyday on the beach,

and you and Anne just loved it?

You remember that?

And those two big rocks

that came out of the sand.

You thought they were so huge,

but they weren't

actually that big,

but they were bigger than you.

And you'd stand on one, and

then I'd stand on the other,

and I would put my

hand out to you.

And you would reach across,

grab my hand, and jump.

You remember than Anne

used to get so scared,

but you thought it was the

funniest thing in the world?

- I called her chicken.

- Yeah.

She was just scared for you.

Yeah...

(SENTIMENTAL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Ben...

(PENSIVE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

Ahh!

Uh!

(SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC)

- Grab the ladder.

- Okay.

Ahh!

Ugh!

I can't reach it!

Ben, you can!

[BEN] It's too far away!

Ugh!

[BEN] I can't!

Ben!

[BEN] Mom, I can't!

Ahh!

[TOM] Oh my god.

(YELLING)

Oh my god.

Ben.

Ben!

No, no...

The gird.

Hang on!

Hang on!

(SUSPENSEFUL INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Come on, push it!

I got you.

Come on.

(TRIUMPHANT INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

Ben, where's Anne?

[BRIANNA] Ben, Ben.

Brianna, what

happened to Anne?

He said that the

last he saw is she was

holding onto the cables when

they grounded the elevators.

That's more than

20 stories down.

Well, we have to go

down there and find her.

There's absolutely no

goin' into the basement.

We have a major gas leak.

The entire building

could blow at moment.

Lieutenant, we need to find

her, one way or the other.

We have a gas leak in the

building that's on fire.

Do you understand

the math, ma'am?

We have to get you

out of here, now.

We'll send a separate

party to look for her

as soon as we get the

gas leak under control.

Now, you listen to me, my

daughter is in the basement,

and I am going down there.

There's no way to get there.

The entire basement

has been sealed off.

Elevator shafts.

What?

My daughter is waiting at the

bottom of the elevator shaft

and I am going down to get her.

So, get me rope, get me oxygen,

and give me gloves, now!

Are you crazy lady?

You can't climb down

a 20 story shaft.

You listen to me, my

wife has been climbing

since she was a kid.

Hell, she climbed

Eiger twice unassisted.

Jeanne, let's give

her what she wants.

[JEANNE] Yes, sir.

I love you two, don't

worry, I'm gonna find her.

The radio may not work

when you get down there.

But the locating beeping will.

We have 50 meters of rope.

It's about 300 feet

down to the bottom.

I wasn't planning on

tying off to the building.

(PENSIVE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

This is all my fault.

No, hey, hey,

it's not your fault.

No, it is.

None of this would've happened

if we hadn't come to see you.

Why did you come to see us?
