by canoe. Excuse me.

And head further down this river here.

This is where the frogs usually mate.

You remember, Rafael?

[Rafael speaking Portuguese]

Its been a long

time since Ive been in

that part of the jungle.

My memory not so good.

Oh, but don't worry about that.

I have a pretty good memory of it.

Between the two of us, we'll be fine.

[Esteves speaking Portuguese] I also

know the area. I can help as well.

Well, that's great then.

I mean, it's all settled.

So, everybody, just...

Plan on getting up early tomorrow,

we'll leave at dawn.

Oh, and bring us two sets of clothing,

sleeping bags.

I'll make sure we have tents.

We might have to spend the night, okay?

Okay.

I'm gonna take care of some logistics,

here.

All right. I don't know about

you guys, but I need a shower.

Nikki, if you need a hand with

that shower, I got you covered.

I'm okay, Robby, thanks.

'Cause there's some places that

are hard to reach.

[Andre speaking Portuguese]

Because we are one, two...

We are eight total...

Even though today's search did

not bear results...

I'm hopeful we're on the right track,

and that we'll find a sample soon.

[Animal noises]

What are you doing?

I heard a noise.

Under the bed?

Come on.

Turn that thing off.

This place is starting to get to you.

Are you okay, mina?

[Mina] I almost drowned as a kid.

I never learned how to swim.

- Oh, sh*t, what was that?

- What was that?

There are some rocks or

sand banks or anacondas.

Anaconda?

Great. That makes

me feel a lot better.

Oh, anaconda, Andre?

- We're fine in the boat.

- Yeah, right, until they crawl in.

[Mina]

Yeah, and they have piranhas here, too.

Sh*t. She can't swim. Mina!

Get in there, get her!

She can't swim, you guys!

You okay? You need any help?

Is she okay?

She looks okay.

- You all right?

- Just don't panic, mina.

- Robby, do something! Is she okay?

- What the f*** happened?

What do you want me to do?

I got the camera.

You're almost in.

Gotcha. Okay.

- She's all right, you guys.

- Yeah.

[Jay] What are you doing?

[Robby] I was hoping

that his playing would

attract the spirit so

I can get it on tape.

[Jay] Sure. Maybe Bigfoot will

come, too, with the Easter bunny.

[Robby] Thats ridiculous.

Ones a mythical

creature. The other one is not real.

[Jay] You analyze everything.

[Robby] Trying to make sense of

the chaos around me.

[Jay] But nobody makes sense of

anything that you say.

[Robby] Wait, wait, wait.

[Playing harmonica ]

[Speaking Portuguese]

Thats very good.

Who is it from?

Its mine.

Really?

Impressive.

Why? Do you think I cant

write something like that?

Its not that. Its uh...

You dont strike me

as the sensitive type.

Appearances can be deceiving.

You did good out there today.

I mean, for a woman, you did good.

Not sure if thats an

insult or a compliment,

but thanks anyway.

Youre welcome.

Im going to bed.

- Good night.

- Good night.

[Leopard roars]

[Robby]

Is that what I think it is?

Frog droppings.

[Robby laughs]

Oh, gross.

[Esteves] Yes.

[Robby] He just rubbed sh*t

between his fingers.

Robby! Hes just doing his job.

[Robby] Yeah, well, its a

shitty job if it involves poop.

[Robby] I cant tell whats a

monkey and whats a bird.

[Nikki] Yeah, is that a bird?

What is that?

[Robby] Monkey-bird.

Its like a pterodactyl.

[Nikki] It totally sounds like

a pterodactyl. [Squawking]

- [Robby] Mina.

- What? Yeah?

[Robby] So, did anything

strange happen last night?

No.

Lets get moving, all right?

[John] Break up into small groups.

Were gonna have to expand our search.

Remember, were looking for

signs of the frog.

Well find them at night.

Lets go.

- [Robby] Frog sh*t huntin in the...

- Robby! Sh!

[Robby whispering]

Were looking for frog sh*t.

[Nikki] Robby, my feet are

f***ing killing me.

[Robby] Its not like we can

scare it away.

[Whispering]

My feet are killing me!

[Robby] I dont understand why people...

[Nikki] Sh*t!

[Screams and laughter]

[Mina] Oh my God!

- [Nikki] Oh my God!

- [Mina] Are you all right?

[Nikki yelling]

- [Jay] You are totally covered in frog sh*t.

- [Mina] Are you all right, baby?

Robby, turn that f***ing off or

Im gonna kill you!

[Jay] Anybody wanna mud wrestle?

F***!

Robby, turn that off!

[Mina] Well, we know its good for skin.

[Nikki] Wow.

Robby, if youre still rolling right

now, Im gonna f***ing kill you.

[Robby] Its totally off right now.

[Nikki] Oh, it is so dark out here.

[Robby] I know, I can barely

see the camera.

- I know. Its really freakin creepy.

- [Robby] Its crazy dark.

[Robby] This reminds me when I

went caving once.

[Nikki] Okay, Robby, just stop.

[Robby] See a lot of bats

spelunking. Yeah.

- [Nikki] Sh. Robby, just be...

- [Robby] Try to...

- [Nikki] Did you hear that noise?

- [Robby] Yeah.

[Robby] I dont know.

I dont know what...

[Nikki] What the f*** was that?

Did you hear that?

[Robby] I heard it.

[Robby] Is that somebody

walking behind us or is that...?

[Nikki] What the f*** was that noise?

[Robby] I dont know.

I dont know.

[Robby] Yeah, over here.

[Animal growls]

[Nikki] What the hell?

- [Robby] Sh. I dont know.

- [Nikki] Oh my God.

[Robby] I dont know.

[Nikki]

What the hell was that noise?

[Robby] I dont know.

Hey, over here.

[John] We cant use the net

because the frog will burrow under.

Hes gonna use his hands.

You okay?

[Esteves] Yeah.

[John] One, two. Now!

[Nikki] Oh my God!

Oh my God!

[Robby] Wow. You guys, I

never... I mean, seriously.

[Nikki] I cant believe we just did it!

[John] Okay, a little transfer here.

[Robby] I said Id believe it

when I saw it, but I still dont, man.

- [Robby] I still dont.

- [Nikki] Oh my God.

[John] Keep it closed.

[Men laughing]

[Nikki] Are you ready?

Yeah.

[Nikki] I know that

this is a very personal

quest for you because of your mother.

How are you feeling now that

you finally found it?

Whenever I think of my mom, I

think of someone really brave.

She never gave up on anything.

She... and she fought until her

last breath.

I think thats why I...

Was never a choice for me to give up.

Cancer has taken too many lives

for too long.

We waited long enough for this cure.

[Nikki] I think thats good.

- Yeah? [Nikki] Yeah, I think we got it.

- That was great, mina.

[Andre] Do you, do you really

believe that?

[Mina] Im sorry?

Do you really think that

society is ready for a cure?

I, I dont understand what

youre trying to say.

Okay, just think about it.

We have cured so many diseases

before, like, polio.

But for some reason, we have not been

able to find any more cures in decades.

And new diseases are born every day.

Like aids, Ebola.

Why do you think it is?

I dont know, what do you

think? Its a conspiracy...

No, I think its great

youre trying to save

the world, but dont

forget its a business!

Just business.

And I just dont want you to be

disappointed when you realize that...

The people that really need it
