Descendants 2 Page #5

Synopsis: When the pressure to be royally perfect becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula from The Little Mermaid, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town. Uma, still resentful over not being selected by Ben to go to Auradon Prep with the other Villain Kids, stirs her pirate gang including Captain Hook's son Harry and Gaston's son Gil, to break the barrier between the Isle of the Lost and Auradon, and unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle once and for all.

but, oh,

it is so much fun.

Here's the deal.

Just like your mother--

always a catch.

If you win...

Ben is free to go.

Hmm?

Don't you want to know

what I get if I win?

-Still dreaming.

-Mm.

Last time I checked,

your mother thought

she had things

all sewn up, too, huh?

How'd that work out

for her again?

On three.

-One.

-Two.

-Three.

-Three.

You know,

that whole princess act?

Ugh. Never bought it

for a second.

You can stick a tiara

on a villain,

but you're still

a villain.

And you can

slap a pirate hat on,

but you're still

Shrimpy.

If I win...

you bring me

the wand.

Now... if you want

beasty boy back,

bring me Fairy Godmother's

magic wand

to my ship tomorrow

at 12:
00 noon...

sharp.

Oh, and if you blab...

you can kiss

your baby goodbye.

There's no way we're gonna

give Uma the wand.

We can't just let her

destroy Auradon.

Uma doesn't get the wand,

then Ben is toast, guys.

Right, so, we're gonna

give Uma, of all people,

the wand.

- Do we have

another choice?

Wait! You guys!

-Your 3D printer.

-A phony wand?

-Yes!

-In my sleep.

And the second Uma tests it,

she'll know it's fake.

Well, okay, so then we just

get Ben out really fast.

We need some kind of diversion.

Smoke bombs!

That's perfect.

I'll get the chemicals I need

from Lady Tremaine's place.

That could work.

Oh, and sick hair,

by the way.

Evil Stepmom seriously

stepped up her game.

Okay, do you want

to know something?

-Dizzy did this.

-Little Dizzy? Shut up!

I know.

I'm, like, loving it.

-It's, like, a lot lighter.

-Really proud of her.

Hello?

Right.

Carlos, Jay, you guys

meet us at Pirates Bay

no later than noon.

And, you guys, losing--

not an option.

'Cause we're rotten...

To the core.

Let's do this.

-Shh.

-Okay.

Evie?

-Evie! You came back!

-Hi!

Hey. So great

to see you, too.

Is it all

just like we imagined?

Do they really have closets

you can walk into?

Have you been to

a real swimming pool?

What does

ice cream taste like?

It's cold

and it's sweet,

and if you eat it too fast,

it gives you a headache.

-Really?

-Yeah.

I saved your sketch book

for you.

You did?

Dizzy!

Oh, my gosh.

Wow.

I made this dress

out of an old curtain

and safety pins.

It reminds me of the dress

you made for Mal

when she met Jasmine.

-I spilled curry

all over that.

-You did.

Yeah, I saw that.

You're totally right,

Dizzy.

This was-- this was totally

the inspiration for that.

I knew it!

You can take the girl

out of the Isle,

but you can't take the Isle

out of the girl.

Is this...

too much,

or is this fabulous?

Hand me

the glue gun!

Hi.

Oh, I'm sorry

I'm so late, Dude.

-Ben got captured.

-Don't.

Why is our door open?

You've got

to be kidding me.

- I knocked.

- Go on, Dude.

- What is that?

- Oh.

That's a little

Chad action figure.

Zoom!

Well, minus the head.

Sounds like

an improvement.

Excuse me.

All right.

Here we go.

Why are you guys making

Fairy Godmother's wand?

Oh.

Uh, why are we making

Fairy Godmother's wand?

Because, uh...

Ben's been captured!

What?!

-Dude can talk?

-I was stalling.

I thought you forgot.

Don't tell anyone!

Ben's life

depends on it.

Really?

So, if something

were to happen,

you know

what I'm saying...

Something bad,

we get it.

God forbid.

But if something

were to happen,

who do you think

would be in line to be king?

- Is it me, or is that

in really poor taste?

I'm taking this.

And if you think I--

Thank you, Jay.

All right.

-Got it?

-Yeah, I got it.

-Careful.

-I got it.

Perfect. That makes

five smoke bombs.

Okay. I think

that's enough, right?

-Yeah.

-Yeah.

M, how amazing

would this look

with my shredded tee

and my heart purse?

- Very amazing.

- Take it.

Take a bunch.

Oh, Dizzy!

Oh, my gosh.

-Thank you.

-It would make me so happy

to know that you were wearing

something of mine in Auradon.

Almost like me

being there myself.

I really wish

I could take you with me.

At least one of us

had her dream

come true, right?

Yeah.

-E, we got to go.

-Okay.

She's gonna be okay.

Yeah.

But she could be

so much more.

Let's go.

That one was epic.

That went on

for actual days.

Like it mattered, right?

They were both undone

by True Love's Kiss.

Works every time.

I really thought that's

what you and Ben had.

Do you want

to talk about it?

Nah. I'm not

coming back, Evie.

I can't. I really

tried to tell you.

Yeah.

But, I mean, I saw

the way your face lit up

when we walked

through those dorm rooms

for the first time.

And I couldn't

spoil that for you.

If you're staying,

I'm staying, too.

No.

Evie, you are

an Auradon girl.

And I am...

and will always be...

the girl from the Isle.

I didn't know what you

Were going through

I thought

that you were fine

Why did you

have to hide?

I didn't want to

let you down

But the truth is out

It's tearing me apart

Not listening

to my heart

I really had to go

And I would

never stop you

Even though

we've changed

Nothing has to change

And you can find me

in the space between

Where two worlds

come to meet

I'll never be out of reach

'Cause you're a part of me

So you can find me

in the space between

You'll never be alone

No matter where you go

We can meet

in the space between

There are no words

left to say

I know you got to

find your place

But this is not the end

No, you're part

of who I am

Even if we're worlds apart

You're still in my heart

It will always be

You and me

Yeah

You can find me

in the space between

Where two worlds

come to meet

We'll never

be out of reach

Never be out of reach

No, 'cause

you're a part of me

So you can find me

in the space between

You'll never be alone

No matter where you go

We can meet

In the space between

Yeah

No matter where you go

No matter where you go

We can meet

in the space between

-Carlos!

-Hmm? What?

-Not bad.

-Yeah.

-Let's go.

-Let's go. Yeah.

Hey, guys.

What about me?

No, Dude. You stay.

I'm serious. Stay.

I love you, buddy.

We'll be back

before you know it.

Oh, hey,

have you seen Evie?

Uh...

She went camping.

Evie-I-want-to-

live-in-a-castle

sleeping on the ground

with no place to plug in

a hair dryer?

You know

how spontaneous

she is, bro.

Yeah.

Totally. Totally.

Later, Doug.

I'm coming with you guys.

What?

We don't need

swords at the...

Waffle Hut.

You're going to the Isle

to rescue Ben.

Look, it's either

you take me

or I'm gonna have to

tell Fairy Godmother.

Okay! Really?

Coochy, coochy, coo.

How's it feel to be

the king now, eh?

Give it a rest, Harry.

Give it a rest.

We don't want

damaged goods.

You said that

I could hook him.

I said at noon.

20 more minutes.

That says 11:
30.

Ah.

You better hope your

girlfriend comes through.

Mm-hmm.

Well, she's not

my girlfriend anymore.

Leave us alone, Harry.

19 minutes to go now.

Go.

I get that

you don't deserve this.

"This?"

This island is a prison,

thanks to your father.
