a hard day.

So?

This one's on the house.

I'll never say "no" to a free drink.

I like that.

- Cheers.

- Cheers.

Oh, hits the spot.

Sure does.

How are you?

I'm ok.

How's Oliver?

He's good.

You know what I was thinking

about the other day.

Do you remember that summer.

We took him to the pool.

And he saved that girl

from drowning.

I do.

There he is...

There he is.

In the deep end...

dragging that little girl

to safety.

He's brave one, he is.

He is, right?

You did good.

I did good.

You did good.

I did real good.

You did real good.

You know what? Let's drink to that.

To Oliver.

For my baby, Oliver.

The brave one.

Jesus, I was just kidding.

It was a joke.

You know, you could try being

a little more friendly.

Just saying, if you wanna

keep the job, that is

Hey.

You know?

A little smile wouldn't hurt.

See how nice that is?

What's going on?

He bothered you?

Jesus!

Let her work, ok?

Before you leave... bring a

new bottle to the bar. Thanks

I thought maybe you could

use a coffee break.

I should probably get going.

I was going to make some

breakfast.

Are you hungry?

I'm starving.

Ok, come in

Yeah.?

You can really cook.

I used make this for my son

every Sunday.

Used to?

He's home.

Home? Where is home?

It's a long way from home.

It must be hard being away

from your family.

It's very tough.

What's his name?

Oliver.

Oliver. It's a great name.

Not very Spanish sounding,

but a great name.

It's "Olibiero".

He wants to come to America,

so he makes me call him Oliver.

It's gonna be good.

This is fantastic.

Thank you so much.

You're welcome.

I thought I died and

gone to heaven.

You okay?

Was it something I said?

It's mt boy.

He's very sick you know.

And that's why I'm here.

I have to make enough money

for the operation.

I'm sure you'll do the

best you can.

I'll do whatever it takes.

It's getting late.

I have to get back to work.

Yeah.

I'll pray for your boy.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Mom?

Mom?

Mom where were you?

Did you get the birthday gifts?

Okay.

Can I speak to him?

Mom please, can I speak to him?

Mom, please!

Hi, my sweet baby.

Happy birthday... to you

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday dear Oliver

Happy birthday to you.

So...

come on, try it.

It's your favorite food.

You like it?

Yes?

I'm glad.

So tell me, did you get

your presents?

Yes?

My English is so much better.

I almost have no accent.

But sometimes it's good to have

a little accent

I think it reminds you of

where you from.

What about my English?

Your English is better than mine.

I'll be home soon, baby.

And you'll get your operation

and you'll be healthy

And strong like a lion.

So tell me, do you wanna come and

live with me in America?

- Yes.

- Yes?

And live happily ever after?

Like a fairy tale?

Like a fairy tale

Grandma too?

Yeah, grandma too.

Wait here.

Happy birthday.

Happy birthday, baby.

You ready to blow.

But make your wish first.

- You're finished?

- Yeah.

Hello, baby.

How are you?

It's mommy.

How are you, sweetie?

I'm calling to tell you that

I'll be home very soon

Mommy just needs to make

one more check.

Okay?

Go back to sleep.

Alright

I love you.

Hey, you okay?

Can you come inside with me for

a little bit.

- I'm so sorry.

- It's all right.

Can I tell you something and

you won't think I'm crazy?
