you've been through in life.

I actually got mugged

like twice.

But it's not the stabbing

that you've had.

And you're still here.

There's something to be

said for that, Dina.

Maybe this will help.

[phone ringing]

[operator] 911,

where's the emergency?

[man] I just stabbed

my girlfriend.

[operator] You just

stabbed your girlfriend?

What's your address?

[man, sobbing] Carmel Avenue.

- [operator] Are you in an apartment?

- Yes, Apartment Six.

[operator] What's your name?

What's your name?

[man] Come on, I know, honey.

- [operator] Hello?

- I'm a bad boy.

- [operator] Hello?

- I'm here.

- [operator] What's your name?

- David.

[operator] All right, David.

Why did you stab her?

Because she's

with another man.

[operator] Where's she

bleeding from?

- Plenty of places.

- [operator] Okay.

Do you have a cloth

that you can put on the wounds?

- [David] What?

- Do you have a cloth that you can put on the wounds?

- [David] Hang on.

- [woman] Sorry.

[David] Sorry, baby.

I love you so much.

I shouldn't have done that.

[operator] How many times

did you stab her?

- Seven or eight.

- [operator] Seven or eight times?

- Yeah.

- [operator] Where at on her body?

Back, torso.

[woman] Oh, my God.

The whole place

is covered in blood.

- [operator] What did you stab her with?

- [David] A knife.

[operator] How long is the knife?

Like how big is it?

It's about four inches.

[operator] Where's the...

Right next to me. Drink water, baby.

Yes, drink water.

[operator]

You put the knife away?

Yeah, I'm not gonna

stab her anymore.

[operator] Yeah, don't touch the knife, David.

I want you to walk away from the knife.

[siren blaring]

- [woman] I'm sorry.

- [David] No, I'm sorry, baby.

[woman] I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Am I gonna live?

Am I gonna live?

[David] You're gonna live

and I'm gonna die.

[operator] Are there any other

weapons in the bedroom?

[Daivd] No.

[woman] I want my mommy.

I want my dad.

[indistinct]

[woman] Oh, mommy.

I want my mommy.

- I want my mommy.

- [David] Okay, they're coming in.

[banging on the door]

Come in, I've no weapons.

[chattering indistinctly]

It's not me. I did it.

My girlfriend.

[chattering indistinctly]

[birds chirping]

[Scott] So who do you think should

win the 2016 presidential election?

- [Dina] Hilary Clinton.

- I think so too.

[Dina] I think it's about time

we had female president.

[Scott] Right. And we don't need Donald Trump

because he'll put his foot in his mouth.

- [Scott] We don't need that.

- [Dina] Yeah, he's ignorant.

- [Scott] He is. Very ignorant.

- [Dina] Just because he has money and everything.

[Scott] Yeah, he's like George

Steinbrenner of politics.

He thinks he can buy

the presidency.

[Dina] I'm not really into

politics at all.

But Bill Clinton's wife,

she was a governor, right?

[Scott] Governor of Arkansas.

Yes, she was.

He was the president,

and she stood by her man.

- That's right.

- And she's so, you know, smart, and...

And it seems all we're probably gonna

do is just quote her on Benghazi.

And other things

like her e-mails and stuff...

- No one cares about that...

- I think it's a woman's world now.

- And I think that...

- Yes, it is.

[Dina] That Hilary Clinton

should be a good candidate.

[Scott] Good point.

Hello, hi. Happy Thanksgiving,

by the way.

Yes, this is Dina Buno, and I've

called to see my order is ready?

["A World Of Our Own" playing]

The sun is...

[chattering indistinctly]

Dina Buno.

[whistling, blowing]

[Scott] Silly door.

- Hey, honey.

- Hi, hon.

I have some things

that I bought for you today.

- Really?

- Yes, I do.

I prepared a lovely meal.

Looks delicious, sweetheart.

If I can

- sashay that out of here. There we go.

- Cool.

- Could I have extra notebooks?

- Right.

- Um...

- And I have

- a pack of 18 pens, I've four highlighters in there.

- Cool.

It's you know,

we always run out of pens here.

And we have two cans of soup

in here that you asked for.

Okay.

- I don't know if I'm doing this...

- I got it.

- You do?

- Yes, I do.

I just got it. Got it.

- Are you okay, 'cause... Hold it up.

- Yes.

Panic, panic, panic.

I don't feel like

I'm holding it well enough.

- Thank you, honey. That's very helpful.

- You're very welcome.

I don't know if I could have

done it without you. Thanks.

You're very welcome,

sweetheart.

Be careful with the knife.

You know that I have...

I know that.

It's... It's, you know...

Looks a little peeked

perhaps, but...

- I don't think...

- I think...

Careful with the knife,

you know.

It's something

that I have to work with...

Sometimes seeing knife in

action, you know what I mean?

Yeah.

- Sorry about that.

- Okay.

It's just, I mean,

I'm really trying.

Yeah.

Looks good though.

- Well, good night, sweetheart.

- Good night, sweetheart.

- I love you. Very much.

- I love you too.

I love you very much too.

And you're worth it.

Thank you so much.

And you are too.

I love you too.

- Good night. Sweet dreams.

- Sweet dreams.

[mellow instrumental music]

[old melodious song playing]

[Dina] Look at you.

Such a beautiful girl.

You look like a girl.

Oh, I wish I can take you with

me, I would take you to the vet

and get you checked out.

- Okay, hon.

- But I have to go now.

So, go home. And go home

and find your family.

- Because I'm getting ready to keep you.

- Yeah.

Bye. Bye, love.

Bye, beautiful.

[Dina] Oh, look at you.

I'm in love here.

I made a new friend.

[upbeat music]

Was it a dream we shared

Or was I half awake

Once in the night

She took my hand

I know you're still with me

Listen to how the trees

Tap on our window pane

No matter

What the case may be

I'll always be right here

All I needed was your love

I'm listening to you

Tell me that you love me so

I'll always do

The best I can for you

Sometimes it's like a plane

Passing the golden sun

Rains wash away

The after glow

Puddles evaporate

All I needed was your love

I'll be with you

through and through

I know that

You love me so

I'll always do

The best I can for you
