EXT. SPACE BETWEEN UNIVERSE - DAY

AMERICA CHAVEZ and DEFENDER STRANGE are running along one of the lines. They are chased by a demonic entity as they attempt to make their way toward the Book of Vishanti. DEFENDER STRANGE turns around and casts a spell that freezes the demon temporarily.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

Eso lo mató, no?

(Did it kill it?)

DEFENDER STRANGE :

No, así es como lo matamos.

(No! We'll kill it with this!)

AMERICA CHAVEZ and DEFENDER STRANGE run towards the Book of Vishanti, which rests on a spinning pedestal, radiating with magical energy.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

The Book of Vishanti!

DEFENDER STRANGE:

We can't let it get your power. Get to the book.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

How do we get across?

DEFENDER STRANGE:

JUMP!

THE DEMON appears, blocking their path. DEFENDER STRANGE swiftly fights back by burying THE DEMON using his magic spell.

DEFENDER STRANGE:

It's too strong. I can't hold it.

DEFENDER STRANGE:

I'm so sorry. This is the only way.

DEFENDER STRANGE goes on the offensive against AMERICA CHAVEZ, planning to put her in harm's way alongside THE DEMON.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

What are you doing?!

DEFENDER STRANGE:

We can't let that thing take your power. You can't control it. But I can.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

But we're friends!

DEFENDER STRANGE:

I know. But in the grand calculus of the Multiverse, your sacrifice is

worth more than your life.

DEFENDER STRANGE gets a big wound in his chest from a demon. AMERICA CHAVEZ tries to grab THE BOOK of VISHANTI but THE DEMON stops her. THE DEMON holds AMERICA CHAVEZ in the air, and she screams, making a star-shaped portal.

DEFENDER STRANGE shoots energy to America, and she falls into the portal. DEFENDER STRANGE also falls into the portal.

CUT TO:

INT. DOCTOR STRANGE'S BEDROOM, EARTH 616 - DAY

DOCTOR STRANGE wakes up, breathing heavily. He sits on his bed and looks around, noticing his broken wristwatch. He picks it up and gets up quickly.

INT. CHURCH, EARTH 616 - DAY

DOCTOR STRANGE sits among the wedding guests.

DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST:

Doctor Strange.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Doctor West.

DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST:

Haven't seen you in a while.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

I was a little preoccupied being dust in the air for five years.

DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST:

So were a lot of us. While I was gone... thank you for

asking... I lost both my cats. And my brother. (crying)

DOCTOR STRANGE gazes intently at DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

I'm very sorry.

DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST:

Thank you. I, uh... I guess what keeps me up at night is wondering... Did it have to happen that way? Was there any other path?

DOCTOR STRANGE:

No. But I made the only play we had.

DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST:

Of course, you do. The best surgeon and the best superhero. But you still didn't get the girl.

Instrument playing

DOCTOR STRANGE and DOCTOR NICODEMUS WEST stand up as CHRISTINE PALMER walks down the aisle, accompanied by flower girls.

INT. ROOFTOP BAR, EARTH 616 - DAY

DOCTOR STRANGE takes his glass of wine to the bartender.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

(Clears her throat)

Glass of red, please?

(to the bar tender)

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Allow me, Miss.

DOCTOR STRANGE uses his magic to change the water in CHRISTINE PALMER'S glass into a glass of wine.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

A little too on the nose?

CHRISTINE PALMER:

What, for you, at my wedding? Nah. It was perfect.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Congratulations.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Thank you. There's Charlie. I have to introduce you because he's kind of... It's embarrassing, but he's a big fan.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

So... Hey, uh, Christine...(sighs)

umm... I should have... I wish it had been different. I never stopped caring about us, but I had to make sacrifices. To protect you. I'm sorry. Doctor

CHRISTINE PALMER gazes into the distance lost in thought for a while.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

It was never gonna work out between us.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Because Stephen... You have to be the one holding the knife. And I always respected you for it, but I couldn't love you for it.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

(sighs)

How long have you had that one in the barrel?

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Long time.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Yeah. I bet. Truly, I'm just glad that you're happy.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

I am. I really, really am.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Good.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Are you?

DOCTOR STRANGE:

I'm happy. Doctor

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Good. You deserve it.

CHRISTINE PALMER walks away from DOCTOR STRANGE. DOCTOR STRANGE watches her with an empty gaze. Suddenly, the sound of chaos erupts outside the rooftop bar. DOCTOR STRANGE take a sip of wine and give it to the bartender.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Thank you.

DOCTOR STRANGE takes his ascot out of his pocket and it turns into his cloak. As he floats down, his dress suit turns into his mystical robes.

EXT. CITY STREET, EARTH 616 - DAY

THE DEMON is destroying all the cars on the street. DOCTOR STRANGE quickly moves to rescue someone about to be hit by a car. However, he loses focus when he sees the same girl from his dream running down the street

AMERICA CHAVEZ:

Look out!

(to Doctor Strange)

AMERICA CHAVEZ is nearly hit by THE DEMON, but DOCTOR STRANGE uses his magic to attack the monster.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Do I know you?

(He has a sudden of flashback of the girl in his dream)

DOCTOR STRANGE loses his focus. THE DEMON throws a car at him. WONG takes over, trying to beat THE DEMON, but THE DEMON catches WONG and is about to defeat him. As DOCTOR STRANGE regains his strength, he throws his cloak at THE DEMON to rescue WONG.

WONG:

Help! You're welcome. Do you know it's ancient custom to bow in the presence

of the Sorcerer Supreme?

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Yeah. I'm aware of the customs. Hold it. Hold it.

INT. THE ROOFTOP BAR, EARTH 616 - DAY

CHRISTINE PALMER and CHARLIE see THE DEMON causing chaos on the street.

CHARLIE:

Woah! That's incredible.

CHRISTINE PALMER:

Yeah.

EXT. ANOTHER PORTAL ON THE CITY STREET, EARTH 616 - DAY

DOCTOR STRANGE stabs THE DEMON in the eye, causing THE DEMON to die. He opens a portal to another side of the street and guides AMERICA CHAVEZ into the portal, which leads her directly to WONG.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Oh, god!

WONG:

Who's this?

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Yeah, I was gonna ask the same question.

AMERICA CHAVEZ tries to run away, but DOCTOR STRANGE grabs her hand.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Hey, kid. What did that creature want with you?

WONG:

Where are your parents?

DOCTOR STRANGE:

Take her back to the Sanct...

AMERICA CHAVEZ runs away from DOCTOR STRANGE and WONG

DOCTOR STRANGE:

She took my slingy.

WONG:

She took your slingy.

DOCTOR STRANGE and WONG open a magical portal, reaching out to AMERICA CHAVEZ.

DOCTOR STRANGE:

We're not gonna kill you, kid. I just bust my ass trying to save your life, remember? Giant monsters, I can clearly handle. But what bothers me, is that last night, you were in

my dream.

AMERICA CHAVEZ:
