Synopsis: "For the Love of You," an African-American love film, explores the dynamics of a rocky relationship between Tai, a career driven woman, and Cordell, her aspiring music artist boyfriend of three years. After years of supporting his aspirations and demanding his affection, her hope for matrimonial bliss becomes a nightmare. Their lives come to a crossroad when the ultimate betrayal is revealed. Amidst obstacles of a broken heart, Tai is comforted by the encouraging words of her assistant and best friend, Cherie, who urges her to leave her grief with Cordell and find new love. A chance meeting at a get-together proves that love cannot be found - it simply arrives. Tai meets Brandon - a hopeless romantic looking to complete his life with the woman of his dreams. As the two develop a relationship, Tai struggles to believe that love could be found the second time around.

Anthony:

Zoey:
Oh thanks

(Anthony gives zoey a kiss)

Zoey:

Anthony:
This is a dream

Zoey:
No this is real life

Anthony:
Oh damn sh*t

(Kyla and robert are talking outside)

Robert:
So i have to just say this

Kyla:
Um hmm

Robert:
I like you and think you are cool

And I wanna know if you wanna hang out

Kyla:
I would like that

Robert:
Ok well just when do you want me to pick you up

Kyla:
7:00

Robert:
Its a date

(Robert leaves and Kyla stops him and kisses him on the cheek)

Robert:
Oh

Kyla:
Yeah

Robert:
Bye

Kyla:
Bye

(Robert leaves and Brenda comes by )

Brenda:
Damn get it girl get it
