[He sits, looking at the teenagers. He takes his roller skates off]

Hedwig:
He can come at any second and I don't want him coming and finding roller skates on his feet. Miss Patricia would find out, and she'd get angry, et cetera.

[In the home security store, David is talking to a customer, getting ready for his walk, while Joseph is talking to another, rather familiar looking customer]

David:
Thank you for coming in.

Female Customer:
Yeah, thanks.

Joseph:
This is an outdoor dome infrared.

Jai:
Mm-hmm.

Joseph:
We can use as many as you want in the apartment building. You use a 16-channel HD DVR in your security office.

Jai:
One of the tenants got murdered off-site, and people are on edge. They just want to feel safe.

Joseph:
Totally get it.

David:
(to Joseph) I'm gonna take a walk.

Joseph:
Yeah, I don't think that you need to take a walk today, Dad. Maybe tomorrow or the next day.

David:
No, I think I'm gonna take a walk now.

Joseph:
Uh, you don't want to take a lot of walks. You might get tired.

Jai:
Let your dad take a walk. Jesus.

David:
Yeah.

[Jai then recognizes David]

Jai:
Hey, do I know you? Did you used to work at the football stadium?

David:
Fifteen years.

Jai:
I used to hang out with some shady types down at the stadium in my youth. Turned it around with positive thinking.

[Editor's note: This basically confirms that Jai was the Stadium Drug Dealer we saw in Unbreakable. A neat little tie-in, all things considered]

[David leaves the store as Joseph puts the camera in a plastic bag]

Joseph:
Should I ring this up? We're gonna have to close early.

Jai:
Yeah.

[David is seen walking through an industrial area. He bumps into several people, trying to find out their misdeeds, and sees some police cars passing by. He contacts Joseph via earbuds and a mic on his shirt]

David:
Peak transit time's over. I missed him. I'll come back tomorrow when the factories are let out.

Joseph (vo):
Can come back to the store and we could do some inventory.

David:
Okay. I'll see you back at the store.

[Hedwig, wearing a hoodie and listening to some music on his headphones (probably Drake or something of the sort), walks into frame and makes contact with David. We're shown David's vision of Hedwig's crime: he's talking to the four cheerleaders, all cuffed to chairs, helpless]

Hedwig:
You guys like cartoons? So babyish. I don't. I like documentaries. You watch documentaries? I watched a documentary about, um, space. It's real big.

[End of vision, Hedwig walks away]

Hedwig:
(to David) Sorry, bro.

[David, visibly shook from what he has seen, looks at Hedwig walking away]

David:
It's him. I saw a room. It had red clay, piles of it. It's some kind of factory. They're all in there.

Joseph:
(behind his trusty computer) All right, stand by. I'll search the area.

[Hedwig kicks a store front and runs away as Joseph gives David locations]

Joseph (vo):
Dad, I found a brick factory. Uh, it's old, abandoned.

David:
Which direction?

Joseph (vo):
To the south.

[David ponders what to do next, chasing Hedwig or go to the factory]

Joseph (vo):
Dad? Dad?

[He makes his decision and goes south. Hedwig walks in a tunnel, where we hear some homeless people arguing, partially indistinguishable. Hedwig walks towards them]

Hedwig:
(taking off his headphones) Hey. I... (takes off the upper clothes, twitching) Oh, my God.

[Spasming, Hedwig collapses to the ground. The homeless folk watch on in surprise as The Beast rises, swollen and his veins pumping with adrenaline]

Homeless Guy:
Who are you?

The Beast:
(deep, melodious voice) I... am you. (snarls)

[In the brick factory, the cheerleaders are shaking from fear. The lights go out, they scream in terror]

Cheerleaders:
Come on! Come on!

[They try to pull themselves loose, but the metal doesn't budge. Suddenly, The Overseer enters the scene. With a piece of rebar, he pulls the metal bars, which the girls have been chained to, out of the concrete. Inspirational music plays. The cheerleaders undo their restraints while David remains silent. They group behind their savior when they hear something growling]

Cheerleader:
Where did it go?

[David points at the ceiling. The Beast crawls towards the pack, upside down. He drops down and lands on his feet, before grabbing a nearby table and throwing it with full force at The Overseer. He catches it, but gets pushed back and the girls behind him fall on the ground]

David:
(to the girls) Leave!

[He throws the table back at The Beast, who catches it back. The girls try to leave, but one of them gets the table thrown at her by The Beast. The four scream, hurt or terrified. The Beast closes in on David, pounding his chest. David charges at him while the cheerleaders flee the factory. They trade some blows and hit some walls, before The Beast crawls up one of the post poles, jumps over David and gets hold of him in his patented bear hug. David, only looking a little worse for wear, is able to run towards a window. Both he and his attacker break through and land in the grass before the factory. Both of them get back up, The Beast grunting, David silent. They run to each other again, ready to continue the fight. Suddenly, a bright light flashes and The Beast falls to the ground. We see that the two of them are surrounded by police officers, armed and ready to fire. A woman, wearing a transparent poncho walks to the two brawlers. Barry has now been pushed into the light, he gets up, holding out his hands to shield himself]

Barry:
Don't, don't. Don't shoot! We can work through this. Just put the guns away. I... What's happening? I didn't do anything. My name is Barry. All right? We have to get Kevin to stay in the light. Just... Just don't shoot us.

Dr. Staple:
(to the police team) Don't shoot. He won't hurt anyone now. (to The Overseer) You may find your way out of here, but you will have to hurt a lot of officers. A lot of people. No one needs to get hurt anymore, David.

David:
(sighs, talking in his microphone) It's gonna be okay, Joseph.

[He takes out his ear buds and surrenders. Joseph hears everything through the mic]

Dr. Staple (vo):
Take them straight to Raven Hill Memorial, the West Wing of Raven Hill Memorial.

Officer (vo):
Grab that poncho! No trouble.

[The sound abruptly cuts off. Joseph, sitting in the storage room of the home security shop, gets behind his computer and searches for information about Raven Hill. The search reveals that it is a psychiatric hospital and Joseph sits back in shock, scared of what might happen to his dad. We see through security footage how both David and Barry enter the facility. David walks through, no hesitation, while Barry seems to struggle a bit]
