The camera pans over the cityscape, before zooming in on a crime scene. We see Detective Kate McCoy (30s) and her partner, Detective Jack Harris (40s), examining the body.

KATE:

(looking at the body)

What do we know?

JACK:

(consulting his notes)

Victim's name is Emily Wilson. 25 years old. No ID on her, but we found a strange symbol carved into her forehead.

KATE:

(examining the symbol)

This looks like some kind of ritualistic marking.

JACK:

(nodding)

I've seen something like this before. In a case involving a cult.

KATE:

(skeptical)

A cult?

JACK:

(serious)

Yeah. And I think this might be connected.

Cut to:

Dr. Emma Yeager (30s), a forensic scientist, examining the evidence in her lab.

EMMA:

(to herself)

This symbol... it's not just any symbol. It's a sigil. A sign of demonic possession.

Kate and Jack visit Dr. Yeager's lab to discuss the case.

KATE:

(looking at the evidence)

So, what can you tell us about this symbol?

EMMA:

(serious)

Like I said, it's a sigil. A sign of demonic possession. But that's not all. The victim's body... it's been altered. Changed in ways that can't be explained by human means.

JACK:

(intrigued)

What do you mean?

EMMA:

( showing them the evidence)

The victim's organs... they've been rearranged. And there are strange markings on her bones.

KATE:

(horrified)

What kind of creature could do this?

EMMA:

(serious)

I don't think it's a creature. I think it's something much worse.

*Act III:
*

As Kate, Jack, and Emma delve deeper into the case, they realize that they're dealing with something supernatural.

KATE:

(looking at the evidence)

This can't be real. Demonic possession? Ritualistic murders?

JACK:

(serious)

I've seen some weird stuff in my time, Kate. But this... this is something else.

EMMA:

(determined)

We need to get to the bottom of this. We need to find out who's behind these murders.

As they continue their investigation, they're met with increasingly bizarre and terrifying occurrences.

KATE:

(looking around nervously)

I don't like this, Jack. I don't like this at all.

JACK:

(reassuringly)

We'll get through this, Kate. We'll find out who's behind these murders and we'll stop them.

But as they dig deeper, they realize that they're in over their heads.

EMMA:

(serious)

We're not dealing with a killer. We're dealing with something ancient. Something evil.

The camera zooms out as Kate, Jack, and Emma look at each other, unsure of what they're up against.

Fade to black.
