Highlander: The Search for Vengeance Page #4

Synopsis: The lone warrior Colin travels with the wise-cracking ghost Amergan through the ages searching for the immortal despot Marcus Octavius, who killed his lover on the Celtic plains tens of centuries ago. On his quest, he discovers New York is submerged, and one dominant monolith fortress towers over the seas. Colin can save the survivors, but his sword only hungers for the blood of one man. Despite many lifetimes of training, Colin has failed to vanquish Marcus on the great battlefields of history. Can he finish what he started and stop Marcus? Will Colin lead the people to freedom or become consumed by hate? There can be only one.

Let's do it!

Fire!

The more things change...

...the more they stay the same.

Right? Just like now...

You were there.

Are you responsible for this?

No. But you are.

Their battle, my battle...

...it will only end with your death!

Barbarians will always be barbarians.

If I can't control them, or tame them...

...I might as well start all over again.

What are you doing?

Isn't it obvious?

I'm going to kill everything in New York.

You're insane!

In two minutes the virus flies...

Can you stop it?

No... time to waste it.

As I said...

...everything dies.

My new world begins!

Oh no...

Virus!

How does that feel?

Don't worry your pretty head about it...

...you won't be alone.

Everyone dies today.

Except... for Marcus and me.

I think... I'll take...

...you with me!

Colin... I will see you again...

...one day...

Dahlia!

...in another time...

God...

...help me...

...for them, for her...

Back so soon?

This time I take your head.

There can be only one!

So? Big shot... you finally won.

Too late.

For everything.

No, it wasn't.

You saved the city. The quickening wiped out the virus.

I do pity that poor girl.

At least her prayers were heard.

Take heart my old friend...

What is lost shall one day be found.

Catch you later, Colin.

I hope you found peace.

In memoriam

William Panzer
