Jamie:
I have a suprise for you...

Ex girlfriend (curious): What?

Jamie:
A...poem! Let me read it for you

Ex girlfriend (excited): Okay,go on

(He takes out a little paper out of his pocket and unfolds it.He clears his throat)

Jamie:
You are here next to me

you breathe in my ears

I can feel the warmth

a warmth the sun cannot give

your eyes are wandering into mine

I wonder what you think

I wonder what you see

I wonder what you feel

I wonder what you fear

For moments every hurt

we both experienced just

vanished

Every mistake was forgiven

Every flaw vanished

The past never happened

We had just found each other

We had just found happiness

It's as if we are strangers

and superconsciously share

a connection

So,if reality is just an illusion

then I am very happy that it is persistent.

Ex girlfriend:
(shocked) You actually wrote

a poem for me.(laughs)

No one ever did it for me

heart touching words.

Jamie:

Ex girlfriend:
I feel so special now.I love

(They start kissing)

Detective:
How did you find out he was

cheating on you?

Ex girlfriend:
i planned a suprise for him.

The suprise was a beautifully

decorated frame with the poem

placed inside it.I decided to

leave work early.I arrived at

his house , went to his room

and caught him and another

girl kissing.

Detective:
What was your reaction?

Ex girlfriend:
I was shocked ,I threw the

frame with tears in my eyes

against the wall and ran out

Detective:
What was his reaction?

Ex girlfriend:
I just saw he froze when he saw

me.I noticed he cried.He didn't run

after me.That's all I can tell you.

Detective :
I understand.I just want to say,you

could have saved him.

Ex girlfriend:
You're getting personally involved.

Detective:
Thank you for your time.You

are excused

(Ex girlfriend exits the investigation room)

[Scene 8]

(Setting:
investigation room)

Detective:
What was his behaviour before his

death?

friend:
In his lasts days he lived carelessly

He drank a lot.He danced,sang

It was like he didn't care about anything

anymore.He just did what he wanted to.

Detective:
Tell me what happened the day of

his suicide.

friend:
I went to visit him.I got there and he

was drunk as usual.I also smelled

marijuana.I took away the alcohol

and threw it away.He didn't fight it.

He told me he was going for a shower.

He went to the bathroom.

Detective:
What was his last words to you?

friend:
From water I came, and to water I shall

return.

Detective:
You could have saved him.

friend:
(smiles with tears) if only I knew.

Detective:
Tell me about the moment you

felt something was off

friend:
He never take long showers.I found that

suspicious.I called and knocked on

the door.

[Flashback scene]

(friend knocks on the bathroom door.She calls his name five times.He don't respond)

friend :
You're worrying me.I am coming in

(She opens the door and sees that he is laying in a bath filled with water.He is laying underneath the water.He is not moving.She rushes to him in shock and lifts him up.She tries waking him up with her eyes filling with tears.)

friend:
(in tears) oh noooo Jamie!

What have you done?!

[End of flashback]

[Scene 9]

(Setting:
Therapy consulting room.The therapist is sitting on a couch opposite the detective.In this scene the identity of the therapist is not being displayed to the audience)

friend:
So are you ready to tell me your story?

Detective:
I am

friend:
Who is it about?

Detective:
My son

friend:
I'm listening.

Detective:
He was my only child.His father was

also a detective.We were working

together on a case.When we got

close to solving the case,the culprits

attacked us.My husband got shot

and died.For years my only goal

was capturing his killer.It took

over my life.I didn't attend to

anything else.

friend:
Tell me more about your time with

your son

[Flashback]

(son is standing in his room, watching his painting.)

son:
Mom!

(Detective do not respond)

son:
Mom! Come here.I want you to see

something!

(Detective walks tired and slowly to his room)

Detective:
Why are shouting? What is it?

son:
Look(points to the painting)

Detective:
What is that? What is the

story in it? I only see stars

and planets.

son:
(disappointed) No, don't u see it?

It's not the picture of our galaxy.

It's another universe.A better one.

One where we are just happy.

Where there is more love.This

picture makes me feel like there

is something out there that is...better

Detective:
It's a beautiful picture.Well done

(Detective leaves the room)

friend:
He was someone with vision for a

happier life.How did he die?

Detective:
Self suicide

friend:
You could have saved him.

With appreciation.With love.

Detective:
I feel I killed him.But I can't

arrest myself can I?

(Detective wipes tears from her eyes)

Detective:
Why did you study psychology?

friend:
I once had a friend who I could have

saved.

(The therapist's identity is being displayed to the audience)
