Two weeks later  

At school designing the sidewalk for Culture Day. 

 

 

"Hey Mya!?" 

I turned to converse with my classmate.  

"Wassup Ren?" 

I asked Lauren who was now drawing the shape of Africa with chalk.  

"What you getting into later?" 

"Girl nothing at all. " 

"Me and some friends may be going out tonight. You tryna hang? " 

I thought about it. Sounds legit but sh*t I don't know who she get down with.   

"Depends on where y'all going and what time all of this wraps up." I said setting up my stand.  

"I'm trying to hit up Magic City." 

Lauren said rubbing her hands together. Now see,  Lauren is cool. She's about 5'3, dark skin,  pretty face with some pretty eyes. She thick in the waist but got some small b*obs. She's bisexual. And real cool. I wouldn't mind chillan with her outside of class but I know she has a lil crush on me.  

"Girl you a trip." 

"Sh*t I'm tryna see some ass and titties." 

I laughed and shook my head.  

"My niggas might fall off in there too" 

"Yo niggas  ?" 

"Yea my niggas" 

"I'm not tryna be the only girl"  

"I'm a girl" 

"Yea but they're yo niggas" 

"Aw yea I feel you but you good Ma they not gone f*** with you. You with me." 

"Ok. Lauren I'll think about it." 

"Word." 

We started finishing up our section as soon as people started arriving.   

"You ready for today?" 

I asked Lauren and she just shrugged her shoulders.  

"I mean,  I'm just out here for a easy A" 

"Hell yea . Me too girl" 

We sat behind our table and chatted until one of us got a costumer. Over the course of the day I realized that Lauren  was super cool. Well, more than I thought.  She could hold a good conversation. And she was funny as hell.  

"Damn lil mama fine." 

I wasn't really paying attention because I was peeping the dude that was with the girl.  

I smiled hard and Lauren licked her lips both noting that they were heading our way. We told them what we were advertising. And I knew exactly when Lauren's game face was on. She started sweet talking the girl and she was just flirting her ass off. I, on the other hand spoke with the attractive guy.  

"I think this is the once I want." 

He said picking out a pink african necklace. "Its $7" 

He pulled out a 10 and paid.  

"Special someone? " 

I asked him noticing the girl and Ren walk away. Ren looked back at me and I gave her the okay.  

"Yea. My moms" 

He did a lil chuckle and damn I was feeling him. 

"That's not your girl? " 

"Nah,  if it was that lil interaction between them would not have happened. " 

Now I was the one laughing.  

"Here's your change." 

He took the money and flashed me a smile. I smiled back. 

"You have a nice day and enjoy the rest of the festival" I said sending him on his way. "You too Ma. By the way you're beautiful " 

"Awww thank you." 

"Alright ma, stay cool out here" he said referring to the weather.   

"Haha you too" 

He walked off and more costumers showed up. After they came and went more came. Ren finally decided to reappear. 

"Well, hello there" 

She said cheesing. 

"Don't hello me fool" 

5 hours later  

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this" 

I saying getting in the passager seat of Lauren's car.  

"Damn you looking fine." 

"Thank you now stop." 

"Aight so Mya we finna head to my homie AJ crib to ride out with them. " 

"Aight. I'm riding and vibing."  

"Word" 

"You better show me a good time tonight Lauren." 

"Oh fo sho" 

She said pulling out of my neighborhood. I looked at her and she was looking cute. Her hair was now out of the bun from earlier and in some curls.  And she rocked a cream colored two piece. Even though she was bi and aggressive she was still a pretty chick.  

When we got to her friend house I had to pee. But ain't tryna walk up in nobody's spot.  

"Man Lauren I gotta pee." 

"Come on we going in anyway " 

"Damn just draggin me around. " 

We both walked in the house and she introduced me to everybody.  

"Yo, this my girl Mya. Mya this is Aj, My nigga Quise and lil home Trell." 

"Hey y'all"  

"Wassup ma" 

"Bathroom is this way" Lauren showed me the way as we walked past I knew all eyes were on me. I went in the bathroom and peed. I observed my surroundings noticing how upkept the house was. Either Aj was a neat freak or he had a gal. After flushing the toilet I washed my hands. I noticed a full body mirror on the back of the door and was positive a female lived there.  I knew I looked good in my body hugging black short dress. I examined my hair again, happy that I has rocked my signature bun. My heels and my accessories completed my look. Turning again to do a full 360. Yea, I'm gone be turning heads tonight. Walking out of the bathroom I bumped right into the dude she said name was Quise.  

"Damn my fault lil mama. You straight? " 

"Yea I'm good. It's okay" 

I walked back to the livingroom feeling Quise's eyes on my back and ass.
