Agatha Christies aging sleuth Miss Marple takes a job as maid at Ackenthorpe Hall. She is trying to prove she witnessed a murder. Miss Marple ...(to her boss Mr Ackenthorpe)....if you like good English cooking. Mr Ackenthorpe.... Cod is as good as lobster any day (as he lights a cheroot). Miss Marple replies, if ones taste has not been ruined by the mild use of opiates. Mr Ackenthorpe testily replies , if you are ref to my cheroot !!
