EXT. JARROD'S GARAGE - AFTERNOON

Jarrod and Calvin pull up in the garage at Jarrod's hideout.

[CARS PULL IN)

(Jarrod and Calvin get out, Calvin is taking off all the padding and vest he had on. Jarrod feels some pain on his right arm, he takes off his shirt and then notices that he has a bullet wound on his shoulder.

[JARROD'S SHOULDER BLEEDS]

JARROD:

          Oh sh*t!

CALVIN:

    What? What happened?

JARROD:

     Nigga, I got shot.

CALVIN:

           Shot?

JARROD:

         Yes shot!

CALVIN:

Well damn, when the hell did you get shot?

JARROD:

    Sh*t, I don't know

CALVIN:

   You alright, you good?

JARROD:

Yeah, it went straight through.

CALVIN:

        A'ight then.

(A woman walks in wearing a gold top and black jeans with hoop earrings, and long brownish gold curly hair.

GINA BARRON:

(A 19 YEAR OLD WOMAN WHO HAS A CARING AND LOVING PERSONALITY TOWARDS HER BROTHER JARROD AND HER BOYFRIEND CALVIN)

(Jarrod and Calvin notice Gina at the door and quickly run at her hugging her and kissing her, missing her deeply.)

[JARROD & CALVIN HUG GINA, CALVIN KISSES HER, JARROD KISSES HER ON HER CHEEK.]

JARROD:

Hey sis, you okay? How are you?

GINA BARRON:

I'm fine, what about you, your shoulder is bleeding to death. I'll get you some gauze.

JARROD:

Nah, don't worry about it, I'll be alright, I'm worried about you.

[JARROD PLACES HIS HAND ON GINA'S STOMACH]

JARROD:

           How's the baby?

GINA BARRON:

              Baby?

JARROD:

Come on sis, you know you not gonna hide it forever.

GINA BARRON:

           She's fine.

JARROD:

     Ohhhh it's a she?

(Gina nods her head.)

JARROD:

        Promise me something?

GINA BARRINGTON:

           Yeah sure.

JARROD:

Don't make the same mistake mom and dad made.

(Gina hugs Jarrod, crying tears of joy. He then lets her go, and heads into another room.)

GINA:

So, how'd he take it?

CALVIN:

No too good, i'm surprised he ain't pissed yet.

CALVIN:

GINA:

CALVIN:

(Jarrod walks in.)

JARROD:

It's none of your concern.

CALVIN:

Oh sh*t! Damn it Jay, why you always scaring niggas?

JARROD:

Watch your surroundings and maybe

CALVIN:

        Whatever man.

JARROD:

        We gotta go.

GINA:

     Why? What's wrong?

JARROD:

It's only a matter of time before the feds find the truck, and the way West do sh*t, it's only a matter of time before he finds my black ass, and with your baby coming along, I don't need more blood on my hands.

CALVIN:

     Where we gonna go?

JARROD:

           Home.

CALVIN:

  Home? What good is home?

JARROD:

Better than the street, besides we gettin' some protection.

GINA:

           How?

JARROD:

     You remember Will?

CALVIN:

          Yeah why? 

JARROD:

Because one, he owes me a solid from that ass whuppin' from Tank's crew when we were kids, and two, he has everything we need to get out of here.......for good. You know how smart the nigga is.

JARROD:

What other choice we got man? I'm really in the mood from more gauze and bullet wounds man.

GINA:

JARROD:

CALVIN:

   F*** it, let's do it.

[JARROD LAUGHS, HUGS CALVIN]

(JARROD and CALVIN hug, GINA smiles.)

CALVIN:

All right then, what's the plan?

JARROD:

ONCE WE GET TO WILL'S, HE'LL HAVE EVERYTHING WE'LL NEED. AND WE'LL SEE WHERE IT TAKES US FROM THERE.

JARROD:

       Back to Omaha.

EXT. MARCUS'S HOUSE - EVENING

Marcus is in his office going over some files on the case.

[MARCUS GLARES AT THE PHOTO]

(MARCUS looks at pictures of the damaged truck from the robbery, his wife walks in.)

(CRYING NOISES)

(A woman in a green blouse walks in the room, angry and fustrated.)

TARA DANIELSON:

A 36 year old woman who has a bit of a temper, but is relaxing and calm in the end.

TARA DANIELSON:

    Marcus! I know you hear this!

MARCUS:

Hold on, gimme a minute!

TARA:

Well Marcus your son and daughter are driving me crazy.

MARCUS:

(SIGH) OKAY.....HERE I COME.

[MARCUS WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM)

(PHONE RINGS)

(TARA answers)

TARA:

          Hello?

SARGENT WEST (ON THE PHONE)

Hello Mrs. Danielson, is Marcus there?

TARA:

Ummm, yeah but his tending to his children at the moment.

SARGENT WEST:

Okay, can you have him call me back.

TARA:

Uhhhhh, yeah. No problem.

SARGENT WEST:

             Thanks.

TARA  

          Uh Huh.

(MARCUS walks in.)

MARCUS:

       Who was that?

TARA:

        Your boss.

MARCUS:

       What he say?

TARA:

I don't know, he said call him back.

MARCUS:

      All right then.

(Doorbell)

TARA:

         I'll get it.

(TARA leaves the room. MARCUS looks at some photos of JARROD and SOUZA on his wall.)

(PHONE RINGS)

MARCUS:

          Hello?

SARGENT WEST (ON THE PHONE)

Daniels, I just found some info on Souza.

MARCUS:

         What's up?

SARGENT WEST:

Our sources tell us that some nearby banks, ATM's, and basically anything having to do with getting or giving money were stolen.

MARCUS:

           How?

SARGENT WEST:

We don't know, the security tapes we went over don't show anyone showing up, or even ay signs of any evidence leading to the robbery.

MARCUS:

You sure? Were there any witness, any forensics reports, anything?

SARGENT WEST:

We have one thing, we had a witness who knew one of Souza's men.

MARCUS:

           Who?

SARGENT WEST:

Vinnie Delgato, a former ex-felon.

I thout he was already convicted?

SARGENT WEST:

He was, time and time again, but thanks to Souza's connections he keeps braking out.

MARCUS:

((SIGH) OH BOY. WHAT'S THE WITNESSES NAME?

SARGENT WEST:

Denise Kerr, ex girlfriend of his, . She says last time she  she saw him was a after the ancident. Nothng serious, just business she proclaims.

MARCUS:

     Where is she now?

SARGENT WEST:

At the station, were still trying to get whatever we can out of her, look Marcus........ we need anymore help then we can get right now, we need somebody to come in.

MARCUS:

      Yeah? Like who?

SARGENT WEST:

             Riggs.

(SCREAMING)

MARCUS:

What the hell, Sarge I gotta go!

SARGENT WEST:

            Sarge out.

(Marcus slams the phone down, runs quickly downstairs, grabs his wife by the shoulders.)

MARCUS:

    Tara! What's wrong?!

  MAN

Come on Daniels, I know you remember your own partner.
