Scott:
Hey all, Scott here, and welcome to the first episode of Scott Talks. Today, we're going to talk about miniconsoles and the various types out there. But before we dive into that, I have a little story for you all.(Cut to a flashback of Scott in the hospital bed)
Scott:
Three days ago, I was in need of a kidney transplant, and I only had three days left to live without one. It was a really scary experience, but luckily, my surgery was successful, and I'm now living with a new kidney.(Cut back to Scott sitting down)
Scott:
However, in order to pay for the surgery, I had to sell one of my prized possessions, my SNES Classic miniconsole. I know, I know, it was a tough decision to make. But it got me thinking about other miniconsoles out there.(Cut to a graphic of various miniconsoles, with Scott's voiceover)
Scott:
Now, obviously everyone knows about the NES and SNES Classic miniconsoles. They're both amazing systems with great games and are highly sought after. But there are other miniconsoles out there that deserve some love too. For instance, there's the Sega Genesis Mini, the PlayStation Classic, and the TurboGrafx-16 Mini.(Cut back to Scott)
Scott:
Now, the quality of these miniconsoles can vary, and some are definitely better than others. But they all have their unique features and games that make them worth checking out.(Cut to Everleigh LaBrant and Caleb Johnston, sitting on a couch)
Everleigh:
Thanks for having us on, Scott. We love playing video games!Caleb:
Yeah, but nothing beats the classics, like Mario Kart or Sonic the Hedgehog.Scott:
I agree, those are both great games. But have you guys tried any of the newer games that are coming out?Everleigh:
No, not really. We mostly stick to the classics.Scott:
Well, there's a whole world of new games out there waiting to be explored. But I can understand the appeal of the classics too.(Cut to Babysitters Annie Baltic and Caleb Reynolds, sitting in chairs)
Annie:
I'm not much of a gamer, but I do like the occasional round of Tetris.Caleb:
I'm more into sports games, like Madden or FIFA.Scott:
Ah yes, sports games can be really fun too. And Tetris is a classic, can't go wrong with that.(Cut back to Scott, adjusting his glasses again)
Scott:
Anyway, back to my story. After my surgery, I realized that selling my SNES Classic was a mistake. So I tried to buy it back by selling my new kidney.(Cut to a graphic of a newspaper article)
Scott (voiceover): But apparently, the value of a kidney has decreased dramatically, according to Kidney Market News.
(Cut back to Scott)
Scott:
So, long story short, my new kidney is pretty much worthless now. But hey, at least I still have my love for video games.(End title card:
"Scott Talks: Miniconsole Mania")
