[Title card:
Scott Talks]

[Scott is sitting in front of a camera, surrounded by video game posters and action figures.]

Scott:
Hey all, Scott here, and welcome to Scott Talks, the show where I talk about video games and stuff like that. Today we're going to take a look at some microconsoles, which are these tiny console thingies that you plug into your TV and play games on. They're supposed to be cheap and cool and stuff, but are they really worth your time and money? Let's find out.

[Cut to a close-up of Scott holding 3 microconsoles in his lap.]

Scott:
First up, we have the GameStick, which is this little stick thingy that you plug into your TV. It comes with a controller, and some games already installed, but the selection is pretty limited and the graphics are not that great. Plus, the controller feels a bit cheap and flimsy.

[Cut to a shot of Scott playing a game on the GameStick.]

Scott (voice-over): The game I'm playing right now is called Meteoroid, and it's kind of like a 2D space shooter. It's not bad, but it's not great either. The controls are a bit wonky, and the sound effects are pretty annoying.

[Cut back to Scott holding the microconsoles.]

Scott:
Next up, we have the Ouya, which is this cube thingy that you plug into your TV. It's supposed to be open-source, which means that developers can make games for it without having to go through the big game companies. Unfortunately, my Ouya shipped broken, so I couldn't really play any games on it. Instead, I decided to put it through a durability test.

[Cut to a shot of Scott smashing the Ouya with a hammer.]

Scott:
(laughs) Sorry, Ouya, but you had it coming.

[Cut back to Scott holding the microconsoles.]

Scott:
Finally, we have the Mad Katz Mojo, which is this weird box thingy that you plug into your TV. It's supposed to be more powerful than the other microconsoles, and it comes with a controller that looks like an Xbox controller. But when I looked it up on Amazon, I saw that it costs over $200! Are you kidding me? For that kind of money, you could buy a real Xbox or PlayStation or a Nintendo switch

Scott:
So, to sum up, these microconsoles are kind of useless. If you want to play games on your TV, just get a real console. Or a PC. Or a phone. Or a tablet. Or maybe go outside and play real sports or something. I don't know, I'm not your mom.

Scott:
And I think I have scoliosis, but I'm too self-conscious to ask my doctor about it, because every single time I go to the doctor, the doctors just like, "Wow, Scott, you look very healthy. See me in a few months." And I'm like, "Thanks, Doc," but then I go home, and I'm like, "THIS SMELLS LIKE SCOLIOSIS!!!"
