INT. HIGH SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
Slim Z walks down the crowded hallway, searching for his locker. He bumps into Emily Dobson, who drops her books.
SLIM Z:
Oh, sorry about that.
EMILY:
No worries. Hey, Slim Z, right?
SLIM Z:
Yeah, that's me. You remember my name?
EMILY:
Of course! We share the same homeroom.
SLIM Z:
Right. Hey, listen, Emily, I wanted to ask you something.
EMILY:
Sure, what's up?
Slim Z takes a deep breath and nervously looks towards Emily.
SLIM Z:
I don't know how to say this, but...I kind of have a crush on you.
Emily blushes and smiles.
EMILY:
Really? That's sweet of you, Slim Z.
SLIM Z:
Yeah. I mean, I think you're really cool and talented. I've seen your dance videos on Instagram and TikTok and YouTube and they're amazing.
EMILY:
Thank you! I appreciate that. You know, I think you're pretty talented too.
SLIM Z:
Really? You think so?
EMILY:
Yeah. I've seen your rap skills and your dance moves. You're a natural performer.
Slim Z grins, feeling a wave of confidence.
SLIM Z:
Thanks, Emily. You know, if you're ever looking for a partner to dance with, I'm your guy.
EMILY:
I'll keep that in mind, Slim Z.
Slim Z watches as Emily walks down the hallway, feeling a newfound energy and excitement.
SLIM Z (to himself)
I'm gonna nail that audition for the school play, and Emily will see what I'm really capable of.
CUT TO:
INT. SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - DAY
Slim Z prepares for his audition for the school musical, rehearsing his lines and dance moves. Emily sits in the audience, watching him intently.
SLIM Z (singing)
I'm just a boy, trying to find my way
But with you by my side, I know I'll be okay
Emily gives Slim Z a thumbs up, smiling at his performance.
EMILY:
You nailed it, Slim Z.
Slim Z grins, feeling proud and accomplished.
SLIM Z:
Thanks, Emily. You know, I couldn't have done it without you.
EMILY:
That's what friends are for.
Slim Z feels a spark of hope in his heart, realizing that maybe his crush on Emily could turn into something more and he feels hopeful, but suddenly the scene fades to black.
Slim Z wakes up with a start, realizing it was all just a dream. He looks around his darkened room, disappointed.
SLIM Z (to himself)
Aw, man. It was just a dream.
Goddamn it
Slim Z gets up and walks to his window, looking out at the stars.
SLIM Z (to himself, sighing)
But maybe it could become a reality. I just need to gather the courage to tell Emily how I really feel.
Slim Z turns around and sees his reflection in the mirror, determined to make his dream come true.
INT. SCHOOL CAFETERIA - DAY
Emily Dobson sits alone at a table, eating her lunch. Slim Z approaches her nervously.
SLIM Z:
Hey, Emily. Can I talk to you for a second?
EMILY:
Sure, what's up?
Slim Z takes a deep breath, heart racing.
SLIM Z:
Emily, I wanted to tell you something. I know we've been friends for a while now, but I can't help these feelings I have for you. I really like you, Emily. Like, more than a friend.
Emily looks surprised, but doesn't return Slim Z's affections.
EMILY:
Oh...uh, Slim Z...I appreciate your honesty, but I don't feel the same way.
Slim Z's heart sinks.
SLIM Z:
Oh...okay. I understand.
EMILY:
I'm sorry, Slim Z. I hope this doesn't change our friendship.
Slim Z nods, trying to hold back his disappointment.
SLIM Z:
No, of course not. I value our friendship too much.
Emily gives Slim Z a smile of support and encouragement.
EMILY:
You'll find someone who feels the same way about you, Slim Z. I'm sure of it.
SLIM Z:
Thanks, Emily. You're an amazing friend.

Hey, Slim Z. What's up, man?

SLIM Z:
Nothing really. I just told Emily how I felt about her, but she doesn't feel the same way.
