Of all the arrested Jews, only Dobbe

survived the concentration camps.

Gerard van Haningen was sent to Dachau.

After the war he moved

to a West Frisian Island.

Because of this, Waldy never set

foot on any of the Frisian Islands.

Kees Kaptein was tried

and executed for his war crimes.

Waldy became a journalist. He married

and had children.

He lost his parents but kept afloat.
