Ella Mayakovsky is a talented Eastern European author and screenwriter with a rich, multi-faceted creative background. Fluent in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Turkish, she earned her degree from the Foreign Language Faculty of her university. Ella’s journey as a writer began with translating works by renowned American and British authors like James Hadley Chase and Rex Stout. In Turkey, she published children's novels featuring the character Melissa, as well as a heartwarming collection of short stories titled Piggy Bank of Goodness. Known for her versatility, Ella writes across genres—from detective thrillers like Detective Stalker to artist-centered narratives such as Tattooman and Ambidexter. Her connection to art is a defining aspect of her work; in addition to being an author, she is also an artist who has held exhibitions, which may explain her fascination with artistic protagonists. Her creative repertoire extends to screenwriting; she adapted her novels Bettor and Tattooman into the screenplays and brings her passion for visual storytelling to her scripts. Ella is also a fashion designer and decorator, expressing her creativity through multiple forms. Her greatest love, however, is music—she plays the piano and writes her own songs, infusing her work with a lyrical, expressive quality that reflects her broad artistic sensibilities. more…
