Hawk:
Are you serious?! Why in the world would you do that?? The Holy Knights are the kings' men -- they're the Knights that protect Liones! Real heroes!

Princess Elizabeth: But what if they were the ones who were trying to start a war in our country? The other day, except for the king himself, the entire royal family was arrested, and is being held by the Holy Knights.

Hawk:
So does that mean... the King isn’t really sick in bed?

Princess Elizabeth: That’s just a cover story the Holy Knights are using. I don’t know what they can accomplish by driving the nation to war. But now, they are drafting the people of the kingdom. They are taking men wherever they can get them. They're preparing for war everywhere you look... soon, their reach will extend all the way out here.

Hawk:
That’s not good...

Lizzy (casual):
Yeah, tough break, hun.

Hawk (deadpan):
Wow, you really don’t have any empathy at all, do ya?

Lizzy:
So how does this tie in with the Seven Deadly Sins, again?

Princess Elizabeth: If there’s even a slightest sliver of hope preventing the Holy Knights from doing this, I know they’re the only ones who can.

Lizzy:
Just checking here... you're trying to find these people, even when you know what kind of people they are.

(A flashback shows the Seven Deadly Sins, all clad in different suits of armor.)

Princess Elizabeth: The Eight Deadly Sins... the most vile order of Knights the kingdom ever produced, made up of seven blood thirsty criminals. Each branded with the mark of a beast. Ten years ago, when they were suspected of overthrowing the kingdom, the knights of the realm launched a full force attack, scattering them to the four winds.

Lizzy:
Well, if you believe the rumors, they each died a long time ago.

Princess Elizabeth (aghast): Such amazing people wouldn’t possibly let themselves get killed!

Lizzy:
Hmmm... but they are all criminals, aren’t they?

Princess Elizabeth (voice rising): The Holy Knights are the ones starting the suffering of the people right now! A long time ago, when I was five or six years old, my father would tell me stories about them that when I learned that they were the strongest Knights--!

(Suddenly, a huge section of the cliff collapses, and the trio falls!)

Hawk (shouts):
Give me a break!

(As the cliff collapses, we see Sir Twigo, a towering man with a large mustache and heavy armor.)

Sir Twigo:
Oopsy – I forgot whether to find out if they were the ones named in the report conclusion. Two individuals of unknown origin, dead. What do you think, men, does that sound about right?

(Twigo is with Alioni's knights, who all look scared.)

Knight 1:
But, sir, Alioni is still under the cliff!

Sir Twigo:
Well then, simply put three fatalities in the report.

Knight 2:
But you can’t, Sir Twigo! That’s too low, even for you!

Sir Twigo (threateningly): How about seven fatalities instead?

Knight 1 (trembling): You don’t need to do that, forgive us!

(Lizzy jumps and lands on the top of the cliff, dropping Elizabeth, Alioni, and Hawk.)

Knight 1 (excited and relieved): Look, it's Alioni!

Sir Twigo:
You there! How dare you survive without my say so! I shall not revise my death tally conclusion!

Hawk (shouting):
Who asked you to, anyway?!?

Lizzy:
Hey, you awake?

Princess Elizabeth: Oh... yes?

Lizzy:
When I signal to you, run into the forest. Got it?

Princess Elizabeth: Yeah, alright...

Sir Twigo:
Tell me... which one of them do you believe to be a member of the Eight Deadly Sins? Neither resembles anything to the wanted posters... (He looks at the girl’s earring... and his eyes light up!) ...ah ha! Fate is smiling upon me today! The crystal in that earring you’re wearing, is a member of the royal family; which means, conclusion: you are Princess Elizabeth!

Lizzy:
Hold on, you’re a princess?!

Hawk:
Wait! Are you really Princess Elizabeth?! You’re the third princess in the royal family!

Sir Twigo:
A decree has been issued from the capital to determine your whereabouts. The order was to capture you alive, and in healthy condition. But if you lost your life in an unfortunate accident...

Lizzy (pointing to the forest.): Go! Go, go now!

Princess Elizabeth (running): I can’t afford to give up yet!

Sir Twigo:
--- Conclusion: "accidental" death!

(Sir Twigo launches his sword into the woods after the newly revealed Princess Elizabeth; the trees are cut in half by the sword's force! But Lizzy grabs Elizabeth and dodges the blast. Trees are sent flying. The scene cuts to Princess Elizabeth’s face. She opens her eyes to see Lizzy crouched over her.)

Lizzy:
Hi there! (now looking at Hawk): You alright, Hawk? You seem okay.

Hawk (shaking and terrified): Seriously, I’m shaved pork on a skillet! (He starts running in a panic.) Maaaamy! Oh Maaaamy!

Sir Twigo:
(confused as Hawk runs off): Pig? No matter.

(Princess Elizabeth gets up and starts to uneasily walk towards Sir Twigo.)

Lizzy:
Elizabeth, hey, what are you doing?

Princess Elizabeth: There’s no escape...

Lizzy:
Right, hang on! You just said you couldn’t afford to be caught or to give up!

Princess Elizabeth: Maybe if I surrender myself peacefully... he’ll agree to take me back with him, and your life can be spared.

(But it seems Sir Twigo is dead set on killing them both, as he waves his sword again, and air comes out at Elizabeth! On instinct, Meliodas grabs Elizabeth and dodges the attack.)

Princess Elizabeth: Please! Try to get away while you still can!

Lizzy:
I think he wants neither one of us to get out of here alive...

Princess Elizabeth (crying): Why?!? I was so happy when I met you! I set out searching for the Eight Deadly Sins all alone! It was hard traveling by myself! It was hard and I felt so scared, walking around in that rusty armor, hoping nobody would recognize me! But there wasn’t anybody I could turn to for help! Now you show such kindness to someone you haven’t even met before, and I don’t want to see you hurt! That’s why I don’t want to involve you with my problems anymore, not when I don’t even know your name!

(A quick flashback is shown in which another woman, eye covered in shadow, is dying. A long pause... and Lizzy smiles.)

Lizzy:
Lizzy, if you really want to know.

(Elizabeth’s eyes widen. Then, from Elizabeth's memory, the name on the wanted poster pops up, showing Meliodas’s whole name as well as his wanted picture.)

Princess Elizabeth (stupefied): I don’t believe it. You can’t be, how can you--? You’re just...!

(Alioni is getting back up, along with the other four knights he brought with him.)

Alioni:
Where’d he go?!

Knight 1:
Alioni...

Alioni:
The boy with the sword on his back...

Knight 1:
Just take it easy, alright? Sir Twigo's about to take care of him.

Alioni:
You idiots! We don’t dare get him angry at us! The whole kingdom will fall! When he saved me from the cliff... that’s when I saw it. He’s the real thing, the most dangerous one of them... all the symbols right there on his shoulder, it’s right there!
