While She Was Out Page #3

Synopsis: Della Myers is an overwhelmed upper-middle-class housewife who lives in a large house in the suburbs with her twin children and her abusive husband, Kenneth. Kenneth lets Della know that he thinks she gives all her attention to the twins and neglects her house and her appearance. Late on Christmas Eve, Della drives to the local mall to buy gift-wrap. While searching for a parking space in the jam-packed lot, Della notices an old car taking up two spaces. Frustrated and annoyed, she decides to leave a paper message on the windshield of the old car, writing, "Hey, 'Jack'. How selfish can you be?" After the mall closes, Della's car is held by the driver of the old car and she is threatened by four punks -- Chuckie, Huey, Vingh, and Tomás. When the security guard of the mall attempts to protect Della, he is shot and killed by Chuckie. Della tries to escape from the criminals in her truck, but the gang chases her. In the chase, she crashes in a nearby forest. What unfolds in the woods is De

I know you can hear me.

I can smell your sweat.

I can smell your blood.

I know you're close.

After what went down tonight,

we got a special bond.

You may come out now.

Want a cigarette?

I'll save one for you,

for when you decide to come out.

You are one tough b*tch!

And that is hot.

They are really cute.

Twins, huh?

A woman's purse can

tell her whole life story.

Are you sure you don't want

a cigarette now? Della?

Honey?

Now I know where they live.

Maybe I'll stop by and say hi.

I figured that'd help

to find your voice.

Don't worry.

I wouldn't hurt them.

It's wrong to hurt kids, right?

The game's over, Della.

You won.

You took him from me, Della.

He was like my little brother.

All he wanted to do

was see the ocean.

But he never got to see it.

No, he never got to go.

They're all gone now.

Let's see here.

Monday, Pilates.

Tuesday, Spanish.

Wednesday, Mechanics?

Thursday, Friday...

Face it, Della.

You're no suburban housewife.

You bought into the big lie.

You even tried to live it.

Husband...

house...

security...

every woman's dream.

But not yours.

You know there's no

such thing as security.

I reckon I know what

you've been dreaming about.

What you've been aching for...

all these lonely years.

The wind in your hair.

The dirt of life

between your fingers.

Taking what you want from life.

Right, Della?

Don't tell me you

haven't thought about it.

It's in your blood.

I bet your husband

doesn't treat you right.

Takes you for granted.

You can't go back to that.

You don't want

to go back to that.

Let's go pick up your kids.

Right now.

And we'll get rid of him.

You can do it.

I can do it.

It's okay.

Come here.

Hell of a night, huh?

Close your eyes.

Close your eyes.

You're amazing, Della.

So beautiful.

You've been a bad girl.

You're a bad girl.

F*** me.

F*** me.

You can count on me

Please have snow and mistletoe

And presents under the tree

Christmas Eve will find me

Where the love light gleams

I'll be home for Christmas

If only in my

Dreams

You want to tell me where

you've been all night, honey?

Don't ever call me that again.

What?

You can't even take

your shoes off at the door?

The Japanese do it!

I do it.

I see you got the paper.

What'd you get me?

What did you get me at the mall?

Nothing.

In every dream home

A heartache

And every step I take

Takes me further from heaven

Is there a heaven?

I'd like to think so

Standards of living

They're rising daily

But home, oh, sweet home

It's only a saying

From bell-push to faucet

In smart-town apartments

The cottage is pretty

The main house a palace

Penthouse perfection

But what goes on?

What to do there?

Better pray there

Open-plan living

Bungalow ranch-style

All of its comforts

Seem so essential

I bought you mail order

My plain-wrapper baby

Your skin is like vinyl

The perfect companion

You float in my new pool

Deluxe and delightful

Inflatable doll

My role is to serve you

Disposable darling

Can't throw you away now

Immortal and life-size

My breath is inside you

I'll dress you up daily

And keep you till death sighs

Inflatable doll

Lover ungrateful

I blew up your body

But you blew my mind

Oh, honey

Dream home heartaches

Oh, honey

Dream home heartaches

Oh, honey

Dream home heartaches
