The Paruchuri Brothers are a screenwriting duo brothers whose work is predominant as story writers, dialogue writers, actors, directors, poets, playwrights, and novelists in Indian Telugu Film Industry, composed of Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao (born 21 June) and Paruchuri Gopala Krishna (born 10 June). They are noted for being the first screenwriting duo brothers to achieve star status, becoming the most successful screenwriters of all time who had created a new trend in Telugu film industry with their powerful scripts and punch dialogues, evoking spontaneous applause from the audiences. Paruchuri Brothers revolutionized Telugu cinema in the 1980s and ruled the industry as star writers over three decades. They have written story and dialogues for over 350 films; to name a few E Charithra Ye Siratho, Naa Desam, Khadi, Eenadu, Mundadugu, Bobbili Brahmanna, Prajaswamyam, Karthavyam, Varsham, Sarpayagam, Major Chandrakanth Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, Okkadu, Indra, Tagore, Manasantha Nuvve, Nee Sneham, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Shankardada MBBS, Drushyam, Khaidi No. 150, Rudrama Devi and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
