Izac leaves the group and heads to the toilet; he texts two of his friends about the situation. Scene change, Izac meets with his friends at a park to discuss the matter.

Ross – I know, it’s not good.

Izac – What the f*** happened, who left their supply at the toilet.

Ross – It was Kevin.

Kevin – Ok I f***ed up, I was using the toilet, it must have dropped out of my bag.

Izac – No sh*t sherlock.

Ross – We have a problem though.

Izac – Yeah and what’s that.

Ross - They suspect it’s one of us, professor Simens was informed that an eyewitness can testify that we’ve been buying drugs.

Izac – Oh yeah, who.

Ross – I don’t know, but I have an idea.

Kevin – Care to let us in.

Scene change, a week later there is a loud knock on the door, Arthur is in his bed, it’s very early morning.

Security – Open the door right now.

Arthur – All right, wait a minute.

Izac – Who is it.

Security – It’s campus security, open the door.

Two men from the Academy enter the apartment and begin searching for Drugs, they enter Arthur’s bedroom last and find drugs underneath the carpet. They grab Arthur by the arm and drag him to their office.

Arthur – That’s not mine, I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Security – Listen son, you have a lot of explaining to do.

Arthur – This is a nightmare; I’ve never done drugs.

Security – Well, explain it to the board.

Scene change, Arthur is seated in the head office of the Academy.

Sir William Wallace – Mr Bremann I can’t begin to explain the seriousness of this offence, you do know the police were called into my office.

Arthur – You must believe I’m innocent.

Sir Wallace – I’ve spoken to your father, there will be no need for police investigation.

Arthur – I can prove my innocence; you take a blood sample.

Sir Wallace – Please, the supply of drugs is an imprisonable offence, I’m deeply disappointed in you, you had a bright future, now I’m in a very difficult position Arthur. I am left you with no choice but to expel you from our academy.

Arthur is in tears, he slumps in his chair, covers his face with his hand.

Sir Wallace – You have until this afternoon, to appeal the decision of having you expelled, but you will be wasting your time, I suggest you return to your apartment pack your belonging and leave never to return. I will do all that I can to keep the press from finding out.

Scene change, Arthur is back at home, Olga is seated with Arthur’s parents.

Edward – How dare they accuse my son of drug dealing.

Olga – Oh Arthur I’m so sorry.

Maria – They will find the truth one day, then they will owe you an apology.

Edward – Don’t you worry Arthur, it’s obvious someone framed you; I suspect it was Izac, who else has access to your room.

Arthur – I thought of that, but I can’t possibly make such accusations. What am I going to do now, my career is over.

Olga – Don’t be ridiculous, the Academy isn’t pressing any charges, because they have their doubts. I have an idea, Arthur; you just spend a few days getting well again and leave the rest to me.

Scene change, Olga visits her friend, a well-known patron with connection with many well-known musicians. Elina was at Arthurs private concert; she spoke highly of him.

Elina – I would have never believed that Arthur would be capable of something as deplorable as that, Arthur is a very cultured man, the Academy has made a grave mistake.

Olga – I’ve come to you for help, Arthur must continue with his music studies.

Elina – Of course, I know just the right person for Arthur, his name is Dimitri Richter, he lives in London, and he runs an antique and art store on his own. I’ll give you, his number.

Olga – Thank you, I hope it works.

Scene change, Arthur makes his way to meet Dimitri at his Store, he finds an Art and antique store, it is medium sized, there are paintings, sculptures, furniture’s, carpets, plates and jewellery displayed. There is no sign of Dimitri.

Arthur – Hello, Mr Richter, is anyone there.

Arthur walks around the store looking at the artwork, still no sign of Dimitri. Dimitri suddenly appears from behind a curtain.

Dimitri – Yes, are you looking to buy anything.

Arthur – No not exactly.

Dimitri – Do you mind telling me what you are doing in my store.

Dimitri is a man in his late middle age, he has a grey beard, wears a brown suit, he has uncombed hair and looks a little like a character from a past era, he smokes a cigar and walks around with the aid of a walking stick.

Arthur – I’m here about the piano lessons.

Dimitri – Piano lessons, what makes you think I teach the piano, I run a store can’t you see.

Arthur – Yes, I know, my name is Arthur, I was given your address.

Dimitri – Who gave you, my address.

Arthur – Elina Ivanova.

Dimitri – How do you know Elina.

Arthur – Well I don’t personally, but my piano teacher does, Elina suggested that I’d come to you for piano lessons.

Dimitri – I went to the Moscow Conservatory with Elina many years ago, she was a fine pianist. Come back tomorrow, I’m busy right now.

Arthur – Ok sure, what time.

Dimitri doesn’t reply he disappears behind the curtains.

Scene change, Arthur is speaking to his mother.

Maria – Well did you meet him.

Arthur – I did, he asked me to come back tomorrow, he was strange, nothing like how I’d expected him to be.

The following day Arthur returns to Dimitri’s store.

Arthur – Mr Richter are you there.

Dimitri – Is that you again, what do you want.

Arthur – I’m here for the piano lessons.

Dimitri – Piano lessons, yes, I forgot, can you help me move this table, it’s a little too heavy for me.

Arthur – Sure.

Dimitri – I spoke to Elina, she told me what happened, too bad.

Arthur – Elina told me you’d be willing to teach, no academy is going to accept me now.

Dimitri – Why would they, not with your record, Arthur do you drink coffee.

Arthur – Sometimes.

Dimitri – Good, you can go downstairs and make me one, milk with sugar.

Arthur makes Dimitri coffee.

Dimitri – Thank you, come back tomorrow, here is my home address, come back in the evening seven P.M.

Arthur – Ok I will thank you.

Arthur leaves the store. Scene Change, Arthur arrives at Dimitri’s home, it is a large home, with a well-kept garden. Dimitri lives alone with his dog. He knocks on his door, Dimitri answers.

Dimitri – Come in Arthur, lets if Elina is right about you.

Arthur – She heard me once, I brought Rachmaninov with me, his prelude in G # minor.

Dimitri – I was taught by a professor who was a student of Rachmaninov, Natalia Seminova.

Arthur – I can’t believe it; I grew up on her Chopin records.

Dimitri – Well there is the piano, take your seat.
