Synopsis: Stanley wakes up one morning to a group of Bumble Bee in his bathroom, he is stung by a bee, from then on his life changes forever. Professionally unsuccessful and personally a failure he finds himself with a potentially life changing illness. His love life is a disaster, but a motor accident he witnesses changes him forever. The illness he has serves its purpose, Stanley is forced to change his way, it seems the bumble Bees had a magic spell on him. Bumble Bee is a Romantic Comedy.

Stanley – I can’t think of one.

Mike Dodds – Raj can you show me the report card please.

Raj – Sure.

Mike DoddsStanley it’s not looking good, you scored bellow average, I can’t give you a second chance, I’m going to have to let you go.

Stanley – I want my pay cheque right away.

Mike Dodds – You’ll receive payment through the banking system, you know that.

Stanley feels a sudden sharp pain in his hand. Raj is waiting to escort him out of the building.

Raj – Follow me, give me your shift card and uniform on your way out.

Stanley – Sure, you can stick it.

Mike Dodds – Get out.

Stanley is feeling increasingly unwell, he decides to seek professional help. He calls his GP.

GP receptionHello how can I help.

Stanley – I’d like to book an appointment please.

GP receptionist – Ok, what is your name, and what is the check up for.

Stanley – My name is Stanley Cooper, I’m turning blue, I think I have alcohol poisoning.

GP receptionist – All right, I’ll book you in for tomorrow evening 3 pm with Doctor Hakeem.

Stanley – Thank you.

Stanley hangs up the phone, and opens a bottle of wine, switches on the TV, when he hears the phone ringing.

Stanley – Hello who is it.

Lola – It’s me Lola, you know how long I’ve been trying to get hold of you, are you seeing someone, I want you to be honest with me Stan.

Stanley – No of course not.

Lola – I’m coming over.

Stanley – Look it’s late.

Lola – It’s two in the afternoon, I’m on my way.

Lola hangs up the phone, she makes her way as she promised, two thirty in the afternoon she arrives and she’s knocking on the door.

Lola – Stan, honey you don’t look well, what happened to your hand, why is it blue.

Stanley – I don’t know, I’m seeing a doctor about it, I’m sure it’s nothing too serious.

Lola – Oh honey I’ve missed you, why haven’t you been answering my call.

Stanley’s doorbell rings, it’s Elly, it’s an intercom.

Stanley – Hello who is it.

Elly – Stanley baby, it’s me let me in, I’ve brought cheesecake.

Lola – Stan what’s wrong you look scared.

Stanley – Ahhh, nothing sweety, just give a moment I’ll be right back.

Stanley rushes out the door and down the stairs to answer the door.

Stanley – Elly, you know my girlfriend is upstairs.

Elly – You said you broke up.

Stanley – I know I did, but you know she is stubborn, she won’t leave.

Elly – I’ll have a word with her.

Stanley – No you can’t do that, she’ll kill me.

In the mist of their argument Suzan turns up, Suzan is a girl he recently met at his workplace, they’ve been seeing each other.

Suzan – Stanley honey I’ve missed you, what’s wrong you don’t look well, aren’t you going to introduce us.

Elly – Excuse me, who are you.

Suzan – Funny you should ask, I was going to ask you the same question.

Stanley – Oh sh*t, I can explain Elly.

At this point Lola comes downstairs and is at the door, she sees Elly and Suzan.

Lola – What is going on here, who are these women stan.

Elly – I’m his girlfriend.

Lola – You b*tch, is that true Stanley.

Stanley – Of course it’s not true.

Elly – Excuse me, didn’t we sleep together.

Stanley – Don’t listen to her she’s crazy.

Suzan – You lying bastard, you said you loved me, you said I was your bunny for life.

Lola – Shut up you ugly b*tch, leave my man alone.

Suzan - Your man, says who.

A fight breaks out between the women, Stanley is turning a darker shade of blue, he collapses on the floor, everyone is panicked, they call an ambulance, Stanley is taken to hospital.

Paramedic – Stay calm, we’re taking you to the hospital.

Second paramedic – He’s not breathing.

Paramedic – Give him the Oxygen mask.

Second paramedic – Look he’s turning blue.

Stanley regains consciousness and is seated as the accident and emergency department, he is looked after by doctors and nurse, Lola is holding Stanley’s hand.

Lola – Is he going to die doctor.

Doctor Rafael – He’ll be just fine, we just need to run a few medical check-ups on him, if he’s ok, he’s free to go home.

Lola – Oh thank you doctor; I’ll kill him myself later.

Doctor RafaelExcuse me.

Lola – I said I’ll tell him later, what happened.

Doctor Rafael – Yes good idea, and you are his.?

Lola – I’m his long-term ex-girlfriend.

Doctor Rafael– Right, Waite here, it should take quarter of an hour.

Lola is seated in the waiting area, the time is four twenty in the afternoon, the doctor returns at four fifty in the afternoon.

Lola – Is it good news.

Doctor Rafale – We’ve run all the test on him, he just had high blood pressure due to stress, which made him feel dizzy, that’s why he fainted.

Lola – How about his blue hand, what’s the matter.

Doctor Rafael – I can’t say, of all the years I’ve worked as a doctor I’ve never seen anything like it. He’ll have to see a specialist as soon as possible, but for now you’re free to go.

Lola – Ok thank you, where is he.

Doctor Rafael – I’ll just send him out to you in a moment.

Stanley emerges from the hospital room and greets Lola.

Stanley – Lola darling.

Lola – Shut up, save it, I’m taking you home.

Lola calls for a Taxi, the taxi arrives, and they make their way home.

Lola – Where’s your apartment keys.

Stanley – It’s in my top pocket, can you get it for me, my hands are a little sore.

Lola – You have to see a doctor about your blue hands baby.

Lola – I know.

Lola leaves the apartment; a scene change Stanley is at the Doctors office.

Doctor Hakeem – In all my professional career, I’ve never seen anything like this, you haven’t been painting have you.

Stanley – Come on, if I had you think I’d be here.

Doctor Hakeem – Ok, I’ll have to take a few photos, I’ll send them to a specialist, they’ll take a look at it and get back to me. I’ll also need to send some samples, blood, saliva and urine sample.

Stanley – Great.

Doctor – I’ll call the nurse; she’ll take care of you.

Stanley – When do I come back.

Doctor Hakeem – In two weeks, we’ll take it from there, for now rest up, I’ll also write you a prescription, to lower you blood pressure.

Stanley – Thanks Doc, send me the bill.

Doctor Hakeem – Ok, remember no driving, take time of work if you must, when the result of the test come back, we’ll give you a call.

Stanley leaves the Doctors surgery, he walks along the road where he sees a motor accident, a woman is hit by a car, he rushes over to help.

Motorist (Dave) – Holly sh*t, she just walked right in front of me.

Stanley – Here is my mobile phone, call for an ambulance,

Dave – Oh my God what have I done.

Stanley – Can you hear me.

Dave – Is she alive.

Stanley – Just call for ambulance, I know some first aid, I can help.

Women victim (Stella) – What happened.

Stanley – Thank God she has regained consciousness, you were hit be a car.

Stella – I’m bleeding.

Stanley – Here let me rap this around your wound.

Dave – They are on their way.

Stanley – Great, help me get her of the street.

Dave – Wait her leg is broken.

Stanley – Careful, we need to get her off the road, help me lift her up.
