IF I WASN'T HERE. OH, YEAH... [CELL PHONE BEEPS] HUNGRY? STARVED.

LEAVING ANOTHER FAMILY DINNER. NO, YOU'RE NOT. [DOOR CLOSES] I JUST THOUGHT... WITH THE BABY COMING,

THINGS WOULD GET... DIFFERENT. IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD. IT CAN. SOMETIMES

HE JUST MAKES ME FEEL SO... TAKEN FOR GRANTED? NO. ALONE. HE JUST... MAKES ME FEEL ALONE. YOU SELL MARRIED LIFE

REALLY, REALLY WELL. I'M SORRY. MAYBE WE SHOULD... GO STRAIGHT FOR THE ICE CREAM. I CONCUR. ICE CREAM. [CELL PHONE RINGING] MACKLIN. OKAY. I'M ON MY WAY. I'M SO SORRY.

I HAVE TO GO, TOO. I THOUGHT YOU WERE OFF TONIGHT. I AM OFF TONIGHT. IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING, THOUGH. YOU KNOW WHAT? IF IT'S NOT TOO LATE

WHEN I FINISH UP, THEN I'LL COME BACK OVER. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE

SOME ICE CREAM, AND YOU CAN WATCH ME

DRINK THE WINE. [LAUGHS] LOVE YOU. I'M SORRY. SORRY. [TELEPHONE RINGING] [COUGHING] HELLO? [ROSA]: DAD? I THINK I FEL SOME CONTRACTIONS. I'M GOING TO CHECK IN

TO THE HOSPITAL. WELL, UH, DO YOU WANT ME

TO DO ANYTHING? JUST GET SOME REST. IF THE BABY'S COMING, WE WON'T BE SLEEPING

FOR A WHILE. HAVE YOU TALKED TO THE FATHER? NOT YET. DON'T YOU WORRY

ABOUT ME, OKAY? I LOVE YOU. I LOVE YOU, TOO. [SCOTT]: GOOD. OKAY, THEN. WELL, LET'S SIGN AT... 10:00 IN THE MORNING. RIGHT, OKAY. THANK YOU. GOOD NIGHT. [SPEED-DIALING] [RINGING, BEEP] ELLE, ARE YOU THERE? I SAVED THE DEAL. THE PAPERS ARE ON THEIR WAY. ELLE, COME ON, PICK UP. ELLE? [CAR APPROACHING] ELLE? [KETTLE WHISTLING] ELLE? ELLE? ELLE? [TURNS ELEMENT OFF] [CELL PHONE RINGING] ELLE? ELLE? [RINGING CONTINUES] HELLO? HEY, IT'S CARRIE. IS ELLE STILL UP? I DON'T KNOW. I CAN'T FIND HER. YOU CAN'T FIND HER? NO, SHE'S NOT IN THE HOUSE. SHE'S GONE. IF SHE DOES CHECK IN, CAN YOU PLEASE CONTACT ME

RIGHT AWAY? THE BABY'S DUE ANYTIME. [DOOR CLOSES] ELLE? SHE'S NO AT ANY OF THE HOSPITALS. OKAY, IS IT POSSIBLE

SHE JUST WENT OUT? WHERE'S SHE GOING TO GO?

HER CAR'S STILL IN THE GARAGE. YEAH, BUT YOU GUYS

WEREN'T EXACTLY GETTING ALONG. SHE WOULDN'T JUST WALK OUT. MAYBE SHE WOULD. IT IS JUST LIKE YOU

TO SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT. OKAY, WHERE DO YOU THINK

SHE WENT, THEN? I DON'T KNOW. WELL, WHEN YOU GOT HOME, WAS THERE ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS? OTHER THAN THE FAC SHE WASN'T HERE? WAS THERE ANYTHING ELSE

OUT OF THE ORDINARY? THAT DOOR WASN'T FULLY CLOSED. WELL, WHY DIDN'T YOU

TELL ME THAT EARLIER? I DIDN'T THINK OF IT EARLIER. OKAY. YOU KEEP CALLING AROUND. I'M GOING TO GO CHECK OUT BACK. ELLE? NO, NO, NOTHING'S WRONG. I JUST... OKAY, THANKS. OKAY. NO.

SORRY TO BOTHER YOU. ALL RIGHT. THANKS. WHAT THE HELL'S

GOING ON? HEY, DONNA. I'M SORRY TO CALL YOU SO LATE, BUT HAVE YOU HAPPENED

TO HAVE HEARD FROM ELLE? TONIGHT. NO, JUST BECAUSE... I WAS JUST WONDERING... NO, I JUS WANTED TO KNOW IF... MOM? WE DON'T KNOW WHERE SHE IS. THAT'S EXACTLY WHA WE'RE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT. RIGHT. I KNOW. I'M TRYING. I'M... I'M TRYING-- HI. YEAH, LOOK,

WE'LL KEEP YOU UPDATED. NO, I'M SURE SHE'S JUS GONE OUT FOR A WALK. YES, I KNOW IT'S LATE. WE LOVE YOU, TOO. BYE. OKAY, YOU KNOW WHAT? I'M GOING TO GO

DRIVE AROUND, SEE IF I CAN

FIND ANYTHING. YOU STAY HERE, JUST IN CASE

SHE COMES BACK. OKAY. [] HEY.

DID YOU FIND ANYTHING? NOTHING. YOU? WHERE ARE YOU GOING? TO FILE A MISSING

PERSONS REPORT. WELL, YOU CAN'T. IT'S TOO EARLY FOR THAT. HOW CAN IT BE

TOO EARLY FOR THAT? BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FILE AN OFFICIAL

MISSING PERSONS REPORT FOR 48 HOURS. WELL, IF YOU CAN'T, I WILL. [ENGINE TURNS OVER] FINE. HEY, IT'S CARRIE. WOULD YOU DO ME A FAVOR? ELLE HAS NOT SHOWN UP YET, AND I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU COULD

COME OVER TO THE HOUSE AND WAIT AND SEE IF SHE CALLS

OR SOMETHING. SIR, YOUR WIFE'S ONLY BEEN GONE

FOR A FEW HOURS. OVER EIGHT, AND SHE COULD GO

INTO LABOR AT ANY TIME. STILL, IT'S TOO SOON

FOR A MISSING PERSONS REPORT. WHAT IF IT WAS YOUR WIFE? WOULD IT BE TOO SOON THEN? MR. CONWELL-- I LOVE MY WIFE. I'M SURE YOU DO, AND WE CERTAINLY

WANT TO FIND HER. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL TO KNOW IF YOU WERE HAVING

ANY KIND OF MARITAL PROBLEMS. NO. NOT REALLY. WHAT'S

"NOT REALLY"? TENSION... I MEAN, WITH THE BABY COMING,

AND BILLS, BUT... BUT NOTHING THAT WOULD MAKE ELLE

JUST WANDER OFF. ARE YOU SURE? DON'T TURN THIS ON ME. I CAME TO YOU FOR HELP. CARRIE, WOULD YOU TELL HIM? TELL HIM

ELLE JUST DOESN'T WANDER OFF. SHE DOESN'T. SO... FILE THE REPORT. I ALREADY TOLD YOU

WE CAN'T FILE A MISSING PERSONS REPORT-- WELL, THEN... DO SOMETHING. LOOK, I KNOW

YOU'RE IN A BIT OF A STRANGE

POSITION HERE, BUT... ANYTHING YOU COULD TELL ME

WOULD HELP THIS OUT. I JUST KNOW

THAT SHE WOULDN'T TAKE OFF, AND IF SHE DID,

SHE WOULD CALL ME FIRST. THINGS WEREN'T WORSE

THAN YOU THOUGHT? MAYBE SHE JUST NEEDED

TO GET AWAY. SHE TOOK A BUS, OR A CAB, OR... MAYBE. MAYBE, BUT I CALLED ALL THE CAB,

ALL THE LIMO COMPANIES IN THE AREA. THERE'S NO RECORD

OF HER EVER CALLING. I JUST WANT YOU TO BE PREPARED. THEY'RE GOING TO KEEP

COMING BACK TO YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN, ASKING YOU QUESTIONS, IF ELLE DOESN' SHOW UP SOON, BECAUSE

THE HUSBAND'S ALWAYS THE FIRST PERSON

WE GO TO. DID SHE SAY ANYTHING TO YOU? ABOUT THE MARRIAGE? WHY? WAS THERE SOMETHING GOING ON THAT I DIDN' KNOW ABOUT? NO. YOU KNOW HER. IF A DOOR CLOSED

TOO LOUDLY, YOU'D BE THE FIRS TO KNOW. WELL... EXHALE. THAT'S WHAT SHE ALWAYS SAYS,

RIGHT? [ANSWERING MACHINE CLICKS] [WOMAN]: THIS IS

DR. CONNOR'S OFFICE, CONFIRMING YOUR

APPOINTMENT TODAY. [ANSWERING MACHINE BEEPS] [DAVIS]: THIS IS GLEN DAVIS. I WAS THERE EARLIER TODAY. THE "OPEN TO OFFERS" GUY. YEAH, WELL, I WAN TO MAKE AN OFFER. CALL ME. SHE MET WITH GLEN DAVIS? YEAH, YESTERDAY. HE CAME BY THE OFFICE. DON'T TOUCH

THAT ANSWERING MACHINE. WHAT'S WRONG? JUST LOCK UP
