LIEUTENANT SMITH

Come on in, Detective.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I talked to Frank about the case.

LIEUTENANT SMITH

Yeah? Will he come through for us?

He’s our only shot in solving this

case.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Don’t worry about Frank I’ll

handle it. Trust me. He is

stubborn but he always makes the

right choice

LIEUTENANT SMITH

You better be god damn right.

Cause this town doesn’t need a

cannibal psycho running around.

Listen to me, we can’t let that

word get around to the public. We

would have to let the case go to

the big f*** upstate.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I know, I know. Have you sent

anymore to talk to the old man

family?

LIEUTENANT SMITH

Yeah, I sent some rooks to find

information about his family. His

wife don’t want to have anything

to do with him. Turns out he

cheated on her with a f***ing 16-

year-old.

Really?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

7.

LIEUTENANT SMITH

Yeah, he was a registered

pedophile. That’s no reason for a

person to get murdered. All lives

are valuable, Detective.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I know that’s right, but that old

man must’ve been sick.

LIEUTENANT SMITH

That’s the world we live in. The

old man’s case is on hold till we

get Frank. I have a surprise for

you

What?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

LIEUTENANT SMITH

Another murder on hill street and

guess what?

What?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

LIEUTENANT SMITH

The body was found in a trashcan

by a little kid. 8 years old, I

think. The crazy thing is that the

lady had a f***ing missing eye and

leg. A whole f***ing leg. I’m

telling you; I don’t know what’s

going on with this town but it’s

becoming a freak show. I need you

to go to tits and beers

DETECTIVE RODGERS

She was a stripper?

LIEUTENANT SMITH

Yes, name was Jessica so ask

questions and report back, okay?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Sure thing.

Detective Rodgers walks out of the office and out the department. He

gets into his car and sits in the driver seat for a while.

8.

EXT.TITS AND BEERS - MOMENTS LATER

Detective Rodgers gets out of his police car with a lit cigarette and

walks into the rundown strip club.

DETECTIVE RODGER

So what do we have here

RANDOM DETECTIVE #1

Well, as you can tell the scene is

messy, but its look to me like a

planned hit. Somebody has been

coming here more than ‘often’.

Just a regular customer that

snapped.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Yea I was thinking the same thing.

RANDOM DETECTIVE NUMBER #1

But why do it in this fashion?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

The Department thinks it’s a Hugo

Sanchez copycat.

RANDOM DETECTIVE #1

(looking shocked)

I really hope not. The town

doesn’t need anything like him

ever again.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Well, if we don’t crack down on

these cases quick and fast that’s

what’s going to happen.

RANDOM DETECTIVE #1

Sorry Detective but we have to

wrap this crime scene up. Here’s a

list of suspects that are regulars

here. Maybe you can give each of

them a call to see if anyone knows

something.

9.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I’ll get on that.

RANDOM DETECTIVE #1

Alright see you. And hey, we won’t

let this town go to hell.

Detective Rodgers goes to exit the strip club.

INT. DEADTIDE PARK- NIGHTTIME

Frank sits on a bench holding a Glock 9. Tears flair up in his eyes.

Frank gets up off the bench to walk to his apartment.

EXT. FRANKS CONDO - THE NEXT MORNING

Frank sits in his dusty recliner chair smoking a pack of camels

cigarettes, looking at the tv show 24 (crime series). While watching

the show, he dials Rodgers number.

FRANK:

Hey, Detective are you there?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Yea what’s going on?

FRANK:

Well been for a couple of

days and I’ve been thinking about

that case-

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Have you know?

FRANK:

Yea I have. I’ll do it.

Do what?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

FRANK:

Join the case

Detective Rodgers on the other end is ecstatic, pumping his fist up and

down and saying a silent prayer

10.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I am so glad Frank. The department

really needs you... Man, I really

need you. I miss being partners

again.

FRANK:

I wouldn’t say partners. I’m still

retired remember? And I am coming

back for this case and this case

only, got it.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Yea I got it. You have to go down

to the office and talk to

Lieutenant Smith to reassign get

your badge and a gun.

FRANK:

Slow down Detective. I’m no spring

chicken, I know how the god damn

system works. I spent 20 plus

years on the job before Hu happen

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I’m sorry, Frank. Just making sure

you know how things work these

days.

FRANK:

So have you heard anything about

that old man you was telling me

about a while back?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Nope, nothing on the old man.

Silence. But we do have a lead

with a stripper from tits and

beers.

FRANK:

Ok good tell me about it.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Well just like the old man, this

woman have missing limbs; her leg

was gone and one other thing I

can’t remember right now, but she

was in the trash can when a tip

called us.

FRANK:

That seem like Hu work but sloppy

he never just killed someone and

left them like that. Hu just

didn’t kill to kill he called his

killings art.
