Double Dare Page #8
in the new Tarantino movie.
Oh, Zoe!
How did you manage to do that?
I'm f***ed if I know.
- Double dare.
- Nice one.
Pinky swear.
You know what I should say?
"Pinky swear, double dare".
You just go and be safe and good...
and don't get all frazzled
while you're over there.
Just do your job.
Dude. Dude!
Hey!
Hey, hey, hey, girl!
Look what you have done
You've really done it now
- I'm Zoe.
- Welcome to Beijing.
Business class f***ing rocks.
I know the whole back story now
about how nervous Zoe was.
We were nervous.
We had, like, legends in their own time--
martial artists
coming into those auditions--
and we just weren't having any luck.
Thank you very much.
I'll see you later.
Zoe had to work out.
We didn't have anybody.
And we were shitting bricks.
We were shitting f***ing bricks
until she walked in.
Thank you.
Now
Now
I'm so excited about this new wig.
Look. It's Jon Bon Jovi.
Uma has definition.
I've just put darker blond definition.
You were Goldilocks.
Uh-huh.
I love this. You are Uma now.
Don't put it on right now
until we get ready, all right?
Thank you.
Quiet, please. Quiet, please.
He can hit that?
And action.
Cut!
OK, ladies and gentlemen.
That includes all the way
in the back of the room.
We've asked Jeannie Epper to come in...
to just acknowledge a gal...
who came in the business
as a stunt person...
and had to make her way
in a man's world, in a man's way...
and still at all times
maintain herself as a lady.
I don't know what to say.
We've had so many good times
together...
all the way back through.
Like I said, I grew up
in this business with you.
When I first got in this racket...
I ended up with a couple of gals
on a show that--
I was just as green as a gourd,
and I guess I still am.
And Jeannie kind of looked out for me.
And you've been a credit
to this business...
and a class act
And you've had a good time.
Seems like a lot of people
have forgotten how to have that.
All right. Thanks, Jeannie.
Thank you for letting me be here
as a guest.
I came for a couple of reasons--
mainly, since I knew
you were going to honor Jeannie...
I thought it was only right
that both of her kidneys be here.
The only difference I've felt is
I have an amazing craving for tequila...
and an urge to jump on the back
of a Harley every now and then.
I guess all my life
I've felt more like one of the guys...
than one of the girls.
This, to me, is a great honor...
and I feel comfortable
being part of this group...
because I do feel like
I am one of the guys...
and I thank you for honoring me
with that. Thank you.
To have the people
that you've worked for all your life...
look at you
with a great amount of respect...
is really what we all want.
Get in there.
Because most of the guys...
those are the ones that are
the stunt coordinators in Hollywood.
And we've gotten to know each other
on such a different level.
We've kind of become, like, buddies.
One, two, three.
And buddies hire buddies.
So, the hero cars
stay in the outside lane or close to it.
I chase the rice rockets through here,
they scatter.
Three or four go that way,
three or four go this way--
a couple of police cars chasing them off.
I'm actually going to be
on "The Fast and the Furious ll"...
for eight weeks.
So, I'm totally thrilled.
I guess my hustling paid off.
- Thank you very much.
- You're welcome.
Thanks.
I probably haven't had
this long a run on a job...
since I was--probably twenty years.
Most of the work on this movie
has been car chases--
sliding the cars, doing 180s.
There were days
when we were doing ninety-plus.
You know, I'd love to stunt coordinate...
but, you know,
it's becoming such a battle...
and such an issue as I get older.
Sometimes I watch
the stunt coordinators, like...
I don't think I'd ever be given
a big show like this.
I mean, I don't know.
But if it comes my way, I'll take it.
We need Jeannie Epper here.
Can we get Jeannie Epper?
I want to go out
and really present myself out...
as a stunt coordinator again.
I got the rickety-est car here.
I want to give back
what I have inside of me.
I'm going to give it one last shot...
or maybe two.
Make it snow.
Rolling!
Hollywood doesn't feel
as unreal to me anymore.
Set and...
Like, Hollywood to me
was like another planet.
...action!
It wasn't like a disbelief in myself.
It just wasn't real.
Cut!
Hollywood will never be my home.
But feeling comfortable
in the surroundings...
that exist within Hollywood
is absolutely necessary.
Good night. I'll see you Monday.
I knew that I needed to leave
to make this happen.
But just the fact that it's happened...
is still kind of, like,
"Holy sh*t! It happened".
This seems like the beginning
of the rest of my life as an adult.
I always thought
I didn't want to be an adult.
I always thought it sounded boring...
but I guess you don't have
to be boring to be an adult.
Such a feeling coming over me
There is wonder in the things I see
Not a cloud in the sky
Got the sun in my eyes
And I won't be surprised
if it's a dream
Everything I want the world to be
Is coming true especially for me
And the reason is clear
It's because you are here
You're the nearest thing
to heaven that I see
I'm on top of the world
Looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I found
Ever since you been around
Your love's put me
On the top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Something in the wind
has learned my name
It's telling me
that things are not the same
In the leaves in the trees
And the touch of the breeze
There's a pleasant sense
of happiness for me
There is only one wish on my mind
When this day is through, I hope I find
Tomorrow will be
The same for you and me
All I need will be mine if you are here
I'm on top of the world
Looking down on creation
And the only explanation I can find
Is the love that I found
Ever since you been around
Your love's put me
On the top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
Top of the world
