Elijah:
First name, "Mister". Last name, "Glass."

[When Elijah left Patricia's room, he went to the surgery room, where he removed the lens to prevent the lobotomy. After that, he went to the security room and pushes several buttons, disactivating the cameras. He then spins around in glee underneath one of the cameras. Back to the present, where Daryl is lightly spasming on the bed, blood dripping over the sheets. Elijah puts the lens down and wheels himself to the door]

Elijah:
You don't know what it's like, Daryl. To be so different, you don't know where you fit. It's an awful feeling.

[He leaves his cell with the help of Daryl's key card. He gets back to Patricia and activates the hypnosis light. A new personality, Luke, gets his time in the light. He speaks in an Australian accent. The following scene is yet another single take]

Luke:
Hey there, buddy. What's up? Patricia told us you were comin'. My name is Luke, and I am Team Horde all the way. Yeah, I can intro you to everybody. I ain't no bad hombre to know. (makes a blabbing motion with his hands) Everybody's gonna tell you that I got a big mouth, though. I spoil the end of movies. Ain't true. Everybody knows the priest dies at the end of The Exorcist.

[Elijah activates the light again, causing an unknown personality to take over. He seems well researched and intelligent, like Orwell, who we saw in Split. This personality, however, isn't interested in ancient history, but in paintings and such. I choose to think this is Goddard]

Goddard:
(pointing) The American Sublime. Do you even know what that means? No. That is why this world is a lost cause. That is why The Beast is the only thing that is pure and meaningful and...

Elijah:
(interrupts) American Sublime refers to Western paintings of landscapes and seascapes depicting the immensity of nature. The use of violent storms in the distance was a common practice. Paintings are of particular interest to me.

[Another shift of the guard as the light strobes again. Hedwig is now the active personality]

Hedwig:
Hey, Miss Patricia says that your bones can break if I, like, (flicks Elijah's shoulder) tap them. Is that true?

Elijah:
Yes.

Hedwig:
Uh, so what's your superpower? Your… Your mind?

[Elijah nods as he circles around Hedwig, the little boy is impressed. He lowers himself to make proper eye contact with Elijah]

Hedwig:
What's mine?

Elijah:
You're nine forever, right?

Hedwig:
Yeah.

Elijah:
That's incredible. You can see the world the way it really is. Always. A kid who can never grow old. Are you ready? (leans forward) Are. You. Ready?

Hedwig:
(ready for everything) Yeah.

[Hedwig opens the doors of the surgery room, Elijah follows behind him. The child is tremendously excited]

Hedwig:
This place is so cool, Mr. Glass.

[He climbs onto the operation table]

Hedwig:
I feel like dancing.

Elijah:
Then go ahead and dance.

[The child shows his new friend some sick dance moves]

Hedwig:
Yeah! Check it! Yeah.

[Elijah slowly claps his hands in amazement, before turning around. In the reflection of a glass cabinet, we see how Hedwig collapses]

Hedwig:
Oh, man.

[He falls of the table. Then, we hear someone, something, snarling. The Beast has taken over and he climbs along the wall of the surgery room. Elijah observes him, astounded by the powers at display. The Beast then jumps back down on the ground, into the shadows of the room]

Elijah:
They've been lying to us all.

[The monster steps forward, out of the shadows, towards Elijah]

The Beast:
You... believe?

Elijah:
Yes, I do. It's what I've believed my whole life.

The Beast:
They are losing faith. My Horde is losing faith!

Elijah:
In comics... you would go to a public place where all could see you. A place celebrating man's pedestrian achievements. But you need David to convince them. You should fight him in front of the world.

[He shows his accomplice the magazine with the Osaka Tower on the cover]

Elijah:
The tallest building in this city is opening today. All the cameras in the world will record you. You can convince the Horde and the world at the same time. We exist.

[The Beast leans forward, as if he's examining Elijah]

The Beast:
Why are you in this chair, child?

Elijah:
My bones break easily. I was born this way. I've had ninety four breaks in my life. I've known only pain.

The Beast:
(admiring) Rejoice. You have suffered and are now pure.

Elijah:
I assume you were sent here to be an avenging angel. How much do you want to avenge us?

[The Beast lets out a deafening roar]

Elijah:
Well, that sounds like the bad guys teaming up.

[In David's room, the lights are suddenly turned on. The main theme from Unbreakable starts to play. Elijah is speaking to his old friend over an intercom]

Elijah (vo):
How you doing, David? I always thought of us as friends.

David:
(gets out of his bed) Elijah?

Elijah (vo):
You shouldn't be hiding in the shadows, David. You're able to hide because people who steal cars and mug people in alleys don't need your full potential. You're only using one percent of your abities with these petty criminals.

David:
(standing in the middle of his cell) Maybe there's nothing to hide, Elijah.

Elijah (vo):
I have found someone who will require your full potential to come out. A superhuman serial killer.

David:
Don't do this. How can we be the only ones? Maybe we believed something that isn't even true.

Elijah (vo):
We are going to the tallest building in the city. The Horde is going to be revealed there. There are three floors that house a chemical company in that building. I am going to blow up that building using their chemicals, David. You might want to try and stop us. Today is your coming-out party. At least you know what to wear.

[We see Elijah pushing some buttons on a panel, we hear some noises, something is deactivated. Elijah directs his attention back to the microphone]

Elijah:
I've turned off the water hoses in your room, David. (voice filling David's cell) There's only the door left.

David:
Elijah!

Elijah:
It's metal. But you can't get through it because people's bones break against metal, and you're nothing special. A lot of people are going to die, Overseer, if you don't get through that door.

[He turns the intercom off. The next day, early morning, Pierce arrives at the control room]

Pierce:
Hi. I'm here.

[There is no one else here. Pierce then notices a half eaten banana and sandwich, some flies are buzzing above it. He looks at the monitors and sees Daryl, lying dead on Elijah's bed. Pierce tries to communicate with him via the intercom]
