Princess!

- What's the matter, Karuna?

- Her Highness has called for you.

She has taken ill all of a sudden.

Oh Lord, have mercy.

Karuna, escort him outside

through the secret exit.

See you.

Oh Lord,...

take my life instead of my Mumtaz.

Take my life.

l'll sacrifice a 100 lives for you.

For God's sake,

please don't say that.

- Mother.

- Come, dear.

Mother.

Dear Jahan, today l want

to express my will to you.

l entrust him to you.

Promise me, dear.

That you will never let him be sad.

Believe me. For the sake

a smile on father's face,...

l will lay my life.

You are the eldest.

You are the honor

of the Mughal family.

Look, dear.

Never take any such step in life...

Why are you silent?

l want a promise for Jahan Ara

the princess of lndia.

Mother, l promise you ...

that l will never take

any such step in life...

which put father's honor at stake

along with the family prestige.

Mother, this is

your daughter's promise.

l swear on the Holy Quran.

Your Majesty.

For God's sake, do something,

Mr.Physician.

Take away my throne,

but save my Mumtaz.

Roshan Ara, don't cry.

Have faith in God.

Come, let's all pray for mother.

O Lord, we are

your helpless children.

Have mercy on us.

Don't snatch our mother from us.

Mother!

Your Majesty, the princess

has stopped crying.

She has become speechless.

The physician says she's in a shock.

Her life is in danger.

Please open the door, Your Majesty.

For God's sake, open the door.

ln your grief, have you forgotten

your child along with the world?

Doesn't His Majesty have

the affection anymore?

Your Majesty, if your daughter

dies,...

how will you face Her Highness on

the judgment day? Answer me.

At present l am talking to a father,

and not to the Emperor of lndia.

Whose daughter is going away

from life and closer to death.

Your Majesty, for the sake

of your daughter Jahan.

Please open the door.

For the sake

your daughter Jahan's life.

Please open the door, Your Majesty.

Make her cry.

Please open the door.

Make the princess cry.

Make the princess cry.

Dear Jahan.

My child.

At least you don't be angry with me.

No.

No.

No.

Father!

My child.

Father!

- My child.

- Father!

You lost your mother.

l lost everything l had.

Everything.

Father!

What is wrong with you, father?

What have you become?

Please come, father.

Come and look at yourself.

Please come.

Look.

Oh Lord, thank you very much.

You saved my honor.

Father!

Princess, he has come.

Mr.Mirza.

- Mr.Mirza?

- Yes.

- l did not call him.

- l called him.

But why did you call him

without my instructions?

Seeing you upset, l thought...

his word of consolation will

heal your wounds to some extent.

Karuna, now l am helpless

to not meet him.

Go. Tell him on my behalf ...

that we will never meet

in this lifetime.

Yes, Karuna.

Also tell him ...

that l will grasp

only twice before death.

One for death

and the other for missing him.

l've suppressed the memories in

my heart and buried love forever.

Go, Karuna.

Mr.Mirza, the princess has said

that she will never meet you again.

Karuna, please don't joke.

Sometimes a joke kills a person.

l am telling the truth.

l swear.

But l did not make any such mistake.

l've been worshiping her love

till today.

Please don't doubt her love.

She also said that she will

gasp only twice before dying.

One for death,

and the other for missing you.

Come, l'll escort you out.

No, Karuna.

This is the question

of my life and death.

l will always be grateful to you.

Help me meet her just once.

l beg before a Rajput sister.

You called me sister?

l promise that l will help you meet

the princess at least once in life.

Trust me, brother.

This is a promise

of a Rajput's daughter.

Come l'll escort you.

Come.

Sir!

l've got it.

Had l sent you to bring a pigeon

or to wrestle?

What do l tell you?

First l saw it on the neem tree.

The closer l went, the far it got.

When l pouched on it,

it flew on the tamarind tree.

From there on the mango tree.

And from there

on the wall of the graveyard.

l said, ''Even my name is Gul Khan.

l will not give up.''

l put the scented kerchief before it.

Taking it to be a piece of bread,

it went to grab it.

And fainted because of the scent.

- l caught it.

- Good that you got it.

l'll tie the letter to its wing

and make it fly away.

Sir, you don't need to tie it

to its wing.

Make it hold it in the beak, it will

go and deliver it to the princess.

Here.

- A crow?

- Yes.

Yes, sir.

A crow is very clever.

You can never rely on a pigeon.

lt belongs to the one who feeds it.

You fool, l want a pigeon,

not a crow.

- Go and get it.

- l'll get it right away.

Difference of opinion.

l am the glitter of your eyes.

lf you remember or not.

l am away despite of being close to

you. lf you remember or not.

Here, princess.

No, Karuna.

Make it fly away.

And tell never

to bring a message again.

Hey, listen carefully.

Don't ever bring a message again.

My princess feels very hurt.

Understand? Go!

Karuna, why did you make

it fly away?

You only told me.

Yes, l had told.

Princess, if you command, l'll fly

right now and bring it back.

No.

Let it go.

Princess, no matter

if the pigeon is gone.

l have the message.

Here, read it.

No, Karuna. l won't read it.

- Please. - No, Karuna.

Princess, in your heart,

you wish to read it.

And you deny it.

Alright. lf you don't want to read,

l'll read it out.

l am the glitter of your eyes.

l am noticing that your mischief is

turning into misbehavior day by day.

- Princess.

- Leave me alone.

''lf you remember or not''
