Oh sh*t!

The three start running.

INT. NURONA HIGH - ENGLISH CLASSROOM. DAY

Clifford, John and Alex enter the room, all three exhaling and breathing heavily. There, SABINE (30) starts handing out the exam papers.

CLIFFORD:

Just in time…

SABINE:

Looks like the three of you are late again, luckily for you, the test hadn’t begun so.

Clifford's voice begins playing over.

CLIFFORD:

That’s Sabine Klest. My English teacher. Well, she’s more than that. But you’ll see later. While many teachers are under my parents’ influence, Sabine believes them to be corruptors, and let’s be honest… they really are. So, I’m glad she actually understands me.

SABINE:

Imma guess, everyone is here. So the test can begin.

Clifford, John and Alex sit down. Clifford begins writing on his paper when he has a second headache in the middle of the exam. Clifford says in his mind.

CLIFFORD:

Oh god… not now! Not now! Breathe, Clifford! Breathe!

SABINE:

Reyes! Are you alright?

Clifford panics.

CLIFFORD:

Yeah, you know, just a little bit of headache! (In his mind) Why the f*** is this happening now?!

SABINE:

Reyes, are you sure you are alright? You can go to the nurse’s office if you’d like.

CLIFFORD:

No, don’t worry. I’ll get into more trouble with my parents at home and I’m not in the mood for it.

SABINE:

If you are sure. Okay, half time. Forty-five minutes left.

Sabine sits on her desk. Clifford has a third headache. An image appears on the screen, with the students of the class dead and a masked person slicing Sabine’s throat. Clifford yells after the image disappears, his hands at his head.

CLIFFORD:

NO!

Sabine rushes towards Clifford's table and tries calming him down. In a worried tone, she asks.

SABINE:

Clifford?! Clifford, what happened?

Clifford gets up and goes around Sabine to take a look through the window when it gets shot, the bullet going just past Clifford’s head.

CLIFFORD:

SH*T!

Clifford and Sabine crouch down near the walls. Clifford turns around to face Sabine.

SABINE:

Everyone, stay calm and down!

CLIFFORD:

Sabine, we need to get out!

SABINE:

What?

CLIFFORD:

Trust me!

Sabine has an ordering tone now.

SABINE:

Go with them! I’ll stay behind and distract them!

CLIFFORD:

Sabine! You will die!

SABINE:

I won’t die!

CLIFFORD:

Sabine, I’ve seen this!

SABINE:

(in a shocked tone) What did you say?

CLIFFORD:

(in a panicked tone) Okay… I know this might sound weird, but that final headache I had, I saw this moment, and I even saw you dying! Please, you have to believe me!

SABINE:

Take the others out, now!

CLIFFORD:

Sabine, don’t you understand?

SABINE:

We’ll meet on the staircase! Go! NOW!

Sabine nods her head and Clifford nods it back.

CLIFFORD:

Let’s go!

The students get out of the classroom. Sabine shouts.

SABINE:

Let’s play, motherfuckers!

Sabine presses her bracelet and begins talking in it.

SABINE:

Nigel, you there?

A man's voice can be heard from the bracelet.

NIGEL:

S, is that you?

SABINE:

Affirmative! I think I found a new recruit.

Gunshots are heard in the background. Nigel's voice can still be heard from the bracelet.

NIGEL:

Did I just hear gunshots? Where are you? And what do you mean “new recruit”?

SABINE:

Nurona High.

Nigel still talks with Sabine via the bracelet.

NIGEL:

What?! Get the kids out of there, now! And bring the recruit to us!

SABINE:

On it. S out!

Sabine covers the bracelet and runs from the wall.

INT. NURONA HIGH - UPPER STAIRCASE. DAY

The students are running towards the stairs. Clifford and Alex are at the front of the group and the first two to go down the stairs.

CLIFFORD:

This way!

At the same time, the attackers came up towards them and the group stopped.

ATTACKER:

Here they are! Shoot them!

CLIFFORD:

Sh*t!

Clifford shouts, before the attacker gets shot in the head. Clifford is confused.

CLIFFORD:

What…

Sabine appears from behind the group in armor

SABINE:

Hey there, Reyes!

CLIFFORD:

(surprised) Sabine?!

SABINE:

No time to talk! Take this!

Sabine throws Clifford a gun and advances to the front of the group.

CLIFFORD:

What am I supposed to do with it?

SABINE:

You can shoot a gun right? Shoot those f***ers coming from behind! Alright everyone! Let’s get the hell out of here!

Sabine and the group begin moving down the stairs. John and Clifford remained behind. John approaches Clifford and asks in a confused tone.

JOHN:

That was Sabine?

CLIFFORD:

I’ve no f***ing idea! But I love this version of her! Let’s go!

EXT. NURONA HIGH - SCHOOL GROUNDS. DAY

The students come out running away from the school. Clifford shouts as Sabine makes a dash for the school's parking lot.

CLIFFORD:

Everyone, get out of here! Head straight to your homes!

SABINE:

Clifford! Come this way!

INT. SABINE’S CAR. DAY

Sabine and Clifford enter the car in the front seats. Clifford takes a deep breath before asking Sabine about what just happened, in a confused tone.

CLIFFORD:

Sabine, what just happened?! Who are these mercenaries? And your armor? And... and... why did you have this gun to begin with?

SABINE:

I’m not the one to answer these questions.

Clifford has a confused look.

CLIFFORD:

What do you mean you are not the one to answer? Then who is?

SABINE:

You’ll see! But you have to promise me that from this point on, whatever you see or hear, you won’t tell anyone!

Mid-sentence, Sabine turns towards Clifford.

CLIFFORD:

Not even Callum? Sarah? Alex and John?

SABINE:

No. No one, Clifford!

CLIFFORD:

But, what about the attack? Alex and John will tell Callum about this. And then they will wonder where I am.

Clifford waves his hands in the air while saying this. Sabine touches his shoulder.

SABINE:

Just say that I rushed you to the hospital cause you were feeling dizzy.

CLIFFORD:

Guess that sounds believable enough. Alright, let’s hit the road.

SABINE:

Let’s go!

EXT. ROAD - SABINE’S CAR. DAY

The camera is zoomed out so that you can see the car on a road leading towards the edge of the city.

CLIFFORD:

So where exactly are we going?

SABINE:

Let’s just say, it’s my other job, where we’re going.

Clifford says surprised.

CLIFFORD:

Your other job? An assassin or what?

SABINE:

You’ll see. I’ve called us in, they are expecting our arrival, let me do the talking for the start.

CLIFFORD:

If you say so.

INT. MOSIUS HEADQUARTERS. DAY

Sabine and Clifford enter the building, Sabine walking backwards, looking at Clifford.

CLIFFORD:

Sabine!

Sabine is about to hit the doors before they open letting the two enter the building.

SABINE:

What? Scared?

Sabine says in a mocking tone. Clifford is stunned for a moment before gathering his senses and following her inside the building.

CLIFFORD:

No... Not at all...

Clifford enters the building and Sabine approaches the main desk. A security guard sits there, who looks younger than Sabine but a little older than Clifford.

SABINE:

Hey there!

SECURITY GUARD:

Good afternoon, Miss Klest. Who’s the boy?

The security guard looks over Sabine's shoulder at Clifford, whose face shows concern.
